...The X52 Flight Control System is a highly configurable HOTAS (Hands on Throttle and Stick controller. The Controller is comprised of two seperate units, the main joystick controller and a seperate throttle unit. The two units are connected by a detatchable cable and is powered direct from USB. PS3 game controller

Advantages: Lightweight, good battery life
Disadvantages: No shock device biult in for vibrations to enhance gameplay.

...It's a good lightweight controller. It doesn't have the weight that the xbox 360 controller has, which I think is better, but is does the job. The controller also does not give you any vibrations when using it in games, which would have been nice as this adds more realism to gameplay. Another plus to the xbox 306 controller. It's wireless and uses bluetooth to communicate with the PS3. This works perfectly. Battery life is also very good, you can get around 30 hours gameplay before you need to recharge. The controller also has motion sensors built into it allowing you on certain games to move the controller instead of the pads to make the car in F1 move from side to side. This is very sensitive and requires patience to master. I think we have all become too used to using the gamepad to move around the screen. Overall...

...I don't think there's that much that can be said about this specific product...it's a controller. However, I'll give an account of my experiences of this controller over the past two years. I got two of these sixaxis controllers free with my PS3 so was able to rotate between using one and charging the other, hopefully allowing me to prolong the usability of the contollers. Unfortunately, after about a year and a half ( and many hours of use, 200+ ) the left analogue stick on both controllers began to squeak and stick. I'm pretty sure the analogue bashing involved in Beijing Olympics contributed highly to this. The main disadvantages of this for me is when I'm playing Call of Duty and I'm hiding behind an object and without realising have begun slowly moving out into the open. The controller is extreamly suffisticated as well as all of the normal buttons which are used for conventional gameplay it also contains a gyroscope which monitors its position and movements in six axis, clever hey. The sxiaxis motion control offers a new way to play games and makes things more interesting and more challenging. ...The Saitek X52 Pro Flight Control System is state of the art in flight control systems. As a frequent user of flight simulator the saitek X52 has made my flying even more enjoyable with the control smoothness and joystick re-centereing. In total the amount of different switches is 30, however as there are three mode settings you can have up to 90 button configurations. Installation is quick and simple, and runs as soon as connected via USB. In total with both the throttle and joystick there are 7 axis instead of the usual 3/4 on older joysticks. The metal material on both the throttle and joystick gives a sense of proffesionalism and the rubberised surface on the throttle and joystick handle give a good firm grip. ...This is a great controller jus like the classic ps1/ps2 the design stayed the same. This is the perfect controller i can not say anything about the slick design. As you may know this controller is wireless so you may use it from newere in the room so no messy wires hanging around. And the batttery lasts very long i dont have to charge it very often but i dont play hours every day either. Only bad this about this controller is that unlike the ps1/ps2 controllers this does not have dual shock so no rumble :(.This is because sony could not get rights for the technology. Sony what happened? Well good news this controller is being released again next year as Dual Shock 3 is comming out. ...This the wireless controller for all xbox 360 consoles regardless of whether they are the arcade console or the newest elite console. This controller will work on all the consoles. The controller itself is just as important as the console as without the console you are kind of stuck and can't do much. This controller is also wireless! Wireless: I remember when i had my PS2 and PS1 and had all those wires dragged across the room and getting all twisted within each other - then my mum would always complain about them being left everywhere and wire becoming a hazard. Now that is no longer a problem with the new xbox controllers coming completely wireless. ...Until recently I have been using the Saitek cyborg 3d digital stick. I was impressed by this stick which is why when that one wore out that i decided to buy saitek again. This is currently the top of the range flight stick made by saitek - replacing the X45 permutations previously on offer. At first look there are an overwhelming number of buttons on the two part controller. However they are easy to use bacause they have been well spaced and well positions. The two trigger controls are useful in games with more than one sort of weapon. The triggers are sturdy and are not slack - meaning that you cannot mispress them easily. The stick is easy to hold thanks to its ergonomic design, especially in the case of the throttle control. Though those with smaller fingers may find it difficult to reach the rudder controls which are located...

...I am extreamly made up with this new controllers for the playstation 3, the good points: 1) the reaction time between the controller and the console is so responsive its like it is connected via a wire. 2) the motion sensors are well balanced and the new triggers are a welcomed addition.3) The controller has a very long battery life. Downsides 1) its a shame that each controller does not have its own charger this would make it much easier to charge rather then having to share the one lead which is included with the consol. 2) its a great shame that the sixaxis controler does not have a rumble pack intergrated but I do believe that the next model will. 3) For me the fact that the controller(s) do not turn themselves off when they have not been used for a coulple of minutes is a shame this would be a great addition however I really like...

...When you think of a games console you think heavy, uncomfortable and always getting tangled in wires. Well not the PS3 sixaxis controller. The first point of interest is the wireless cabability of the controller. The controller uses bluetooth which allows a constant stream of information from the controller to the PS3 with no lag time. The second is because it is bluetooth the range of the controller is about 20m, you will never need this much length but it means there will be no-where in the room that you can't use it.
