...The Courteeners are a four piece indie band hailing from Manchester. They formed in 2006 but have known each other since they were ten. Alfie as Jude Law

Advantages: Jude Law is great in this.
Disadvantages: remake

...Being a Jude Law fan i had to give this one a try. It is a humorous talewhich is a remake of the Michael Caine classic of Alfie from 1966 he is a womaniser who is left to question his life. Its set in New York City and Alfie is a limo driver, where he chats up many women of New York. Eventually he has to look at the damage he has caused and has to take a look at his life as he realises that a lot is missing. The women Alfie meet are Marisa Tomei as a single mom, Sienna Miller as a party girl and Susan Sarandon as a rich older woman whom Alfie seduces each and every one. This film is slightly dirrefent as Alfi speaks directly to the camera, which makes the film slightly as Alfie not only has to try to seduce many women he also has to try to make a connection with the audience which i think Jude Law does very well. Advantages: Very helpful staff when you have done some reading...
Disadvantages: if you haven't started your research, they are not going to bail you out!

...So Im in the middle of doing my Law degree full time at DeMontfort University. Well what can you expect? The Teaching style~ consists of lectures, seminars and tutorials. The lecturer normally always sits or stands at the front of the group regardless of what teaching method is being used. It is advisable for any of these types of classes to do the work ( whether set prior to the lecture or in advance of a lecture) as to help you with your revision and also to save you the embarrassment of getting things wrong infront of lots of people!!!! Lectures- the lecturer talks and you listen, preferably write notes and use a dictafone where possible- helps you when it comes to writting up your notes. You can ask questions and helps if you have done some reading in preparation for you lecture on a particular topic. Lecturer's do ask...

Advantages: Entertaining, fun to watch, great acting, smart adaptation
Disadvantages: Always compared to previous version or play

...I watched this movie on the plane and it was a really entertaining piece of cinematography. The first good sign for me was that movie lasts under 90 mins. This is my rule of thumb for a good movie. If director is not able to tell me the story within an hour and half or he is too sentimental to all the shots they made and is hesitant to cut some it is most likely I would feel a bit uncomfortable. I know it is very amateurish rule of thumb but it works for me and the movies I like. This is a remake of the movie from 1972 where main roles were played by Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine. Jude Law got an idea to reinvent it and the team around remake did it in a brilliant way. I cannot compare it to the original as I didn't watch it but, according to what I've read, it seems that they escaped common traps and made a sleek, modern movie...

Since the last person wrote a review on Law at Middlesex University (2000), a lot has changed. I am in my final year, studying in Hendon & looking forward to graduation.. argh finally! Unfortunately, my experience of this University has not been entirely positive. To say the least, it was disappointing. I transferred from UEA to be nearer to my hometown. My decision to switch Universities (& start from scratch in year 1) was very last minute, which meant I had to go through clearing & accept anything available. This is obviously only a very short period of time so my review will probably lack some detail, but hopefully you will still find it fairly useful. The area This is a single campus University, based in Norwich, East Anglia. I moved from Reading (near London) & found the driving distance to be around 3 to 4 hours, or train from Liverpool St generally taking 2 hours, no comment on Reading to London as this varies dramatically anyway. The train journey is quite comfortable though. Norwich is a fairly small city, but not without its fair share of things to do.
