...I suffered with a frozen left shoulder several years ago, and only after 12 months of painful physio (and acupuncture towards the end), did it get better. My right shoulder became frozen (for no apparent reason!) about 6 months ago, and having read about Bowen Therapy and its being painless, decided to take the plunge. After only one session, there was significant improvement as regards pain, and after two to three sessions, my range of movement had improved several degrees. After my fifth (and final) session this week, my therapist put my range of movement at "11 o'clock" (12 o'clock being full range), and I suffer no pain whatsoever during the day, although when I lie on that side at night sometimes, I get the odd discomfort. I would recommend Bowen to anyone, it's nothing short of miraculous. I won't be using painful physio again!...

Review of Bowen Technique

WHAT IS THE BOWEN TECHNIQUE

Advantages: Can be used to compliment other forms of medicine
Disadvantages: Recommended you wait a week before having any other manipulative therapy.

...I haven't had this treatment personally but my Mum had it to treat sciatica which had been an ongoing problem for many years. It has been the only thing that has given any real relief for her in a long time. Le Meridien Hotel, St. Julian's - Malta

...On my recent holiday to Malta i stayed in Le Meridien Hotel, located in Saint Julian's. I would not normally have stayed in a 5 star hotel, but I was lucky enough to win some money towards a holiday from the company that I work for. Obviously, with free money, you are going to push the boat out a bit, and I am glad we did!! Location/Area We arrived at the hotel in the dark, quite late on a Friday night. The taxi brought us round a few small streets and then up quite a steep hill, thus bringing us to the reception of the hotel. My first impression was that it was in quite a strange location, but this is because i had only just seen where we were, and also it was dark, so everything seems different. A good start from Julian

Advantages: Easy read and enjoyable subject matter
Disadvantages: A bit of an obvious lead character

A 5-star experience in St Julian's, Malta

A boring town in Queensland...

Advantages: near the coast, nice weather
Disadvantages: not alot in the town

...Bowen is a town located on the eastern coast of Queensland in Australia. I visited the town while I was travelling down the easter side of Australia and used it as a base for visiting the Whitsunday's and it was near other places like Townsville, Mackay, Airlie Beach and Shute harbour. There is also The Giant Mango situated on the edge of Bowen because there is a type of mango called Bowen Mango. Although, i personally among everyone else i know who has been to Bowen has come to the same conclusion as i did, apart from the nice beaches and a few shops, there's nothing to do in actual Bowen. However, it's in a good location to be used as a base though as it is near so many of the places you would want to visit. On the other hand, the beaches are a big attraction, there are eight beaches in total, which are Kings Beach, Queens Beach...

Advantages: Take your time, follow the rules and you will get totally well!!
Disadvantages: Not as immediate as a painkiller!

...I have a strange kind of respect for foreign correspondents. It is the kind better known as "envy". Watching them on the TV screen bringing the worst of the world into our living rooms, they exude a kind of cruddy glamour....not elegance, but knowledge, worldly-wisdom, grit, determination, bravery and - if we choose to believe they are doing their job properly, and if they see their job the way I would hope they do - a sense of honour.
