Good Woodworm Cricket Bat for a Junior/Beginner

Advantages: Value for money
Disadvantages: Not the best quality

...I recommended this bat to a brother of mine, a beginner, with not much experience of the game. I recommened this bat because of its value for money, as a junior or beginner, you don't want to be paying too much money for a bat, as it is all about fun, and not being too serious. As for the bat itself, you get what you pay for, you know when you pay around £20 your not going to get the best bat ever, but for a junior or beginner to the game it would be excellent due to its durability and weight. The bat my brother bought still exists now, well worn but he still uses it to this day, around a year or two ago when he bought it, he likes it and hes picky! Good all purpose shoe, also suitable for cricket

Advantages: Comfortable, well made, reasonable price
Disadvantages: not a lot of toe protection

...I have starting playing indoor cricket, and have been playing on polished wooden surfaces, where grip has been important, especially when bowling. I found the Adidas Uproar to be very comfortable, although not specifically designed for cricket, although taking one on the foot from an indoor ball still hurts. For bowling I found grip very good, essential if you want to avoid turning your ankle over when bowling, even though these are a low cut trainer. The bottom of the shoe has a non-marking indoor sole, and good traction. A cross trainer cut would be a plus, although these shoes were good value and being well made will undoubtedly last for a long time....

Junior: The intellectual parenting magazine

Advantages: Lots of articles, full of information, gorgeous photography
Disadvantages: Expensive

...I have always seen this magazine in WH Smith whenever I go to pick up the other parenting magazines I buy every month, but to be honest I have never paid that much attention to it. I saw an advert on a website I belong to which said to ring a number and you get a free issue of Junior and then a further 3 issues for just £1. I couldn't resist and then the next month, my first ever issue of Junior dropped onto my doormat. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the magazine itself. The cover is lovely and glossy, and all of the pages inside are very thick and have that expensive look to them, you can tell this is a magazine aimed more towards the upper class reader (I'm not being a snob, just my opinion!). Scone Shoes

Advantages: comfortable, better fitting shoes at reasonable prices
Disadvantages: limited range, most of them are quite ugly

I put it away during my teenage years and forgot about it until Christmas 2007 when I watched the BBC adaptation with Emma Watson. Flick Cricket Game

...You may have noticed I've written the odd review or two about iPhone application games in recent weeks...and you'd be right. So here's another one - Flick Cricket. There's a game doing the rounds on the internet called Stick Cricket which is extremely addictive and enjoyable...unfortunately the Flick version is completely different, and not quite up to the same standard; but then again this application is free for all you good, good iPhone users. The game is based on a six-over match, where the user always bats first and then attempts to defend the total as the 'computer' chases it down. On the main menu there are a couple of options - Quick Facebook Game, New Normal Game, Continue Game and Connect with Facebook. Now, I've not delved into the world of the Facebook options, but I believe it allows you to upload photos for players...

Advantages: Great fun for children and family

I decided as the game was for sale for £12 that I would take a gamble and see if he enjoyed it. After all it was labelled as Buzz Junior and worst case scenario he plays it once and never looks at it again. He returned from school and was very excited to have a game of his own. We set it up and got the controllers out. The buzzers are colour coded and thus makes starting and playing the game rather easy.
