JVC Everio GZ-MG680 BEK HDD camcorder
Advantages: Very good size and quite easy to use at an excellent price.
Disadvantages: Pixmania inefficiency
...Overall this is an excellent product at a very good price of £301.00 delivered by Pixmania on time. However, the first hurdle to overcome is the ordering system on the Pixmania web site. This insisted on keeping in our basket a previous camcorder we had purchased from Pixmania (and was stolen) a few years ago. It took a phone call to their customer service department to sort this out - when we finally managed to find a telephone number to call.
The second hurdle we have still to overcome. The camcorder should have arrived with a Micro SD card, but this was missing. Another phone call told us we should return everything in its original packaging and await a replacement. This was impractical and very inconvenient as my wife wanted to take the camcorder to Spain for a wedding, and in two weeks time to China. After a lot of persuasion...

JVC Everio GZMG21EK Camcorder.
Advantages: Small, easy to use, uses a hard drive so no tape or disc changes
Disadvantages: Supplied battery life, difficult to keep steady on high zoom
...I was looking for a camcorder to use primarily for holidays and family moments. I have bought this camcorder for that use only.
when you buy the JVC Everio GZMG21EK you get the following items:-
The camcorder itself, A battery and charger, a lens cap, Shoulder strap, instructions & guarantees, AV cables, a USB cable, a remote control (with battery) and a disc of software. ( I bought mine over the internet so couldnt haggle in the shop)
The camcorder is silver in colour and i cant believe how small it actually is. It fits perfectly into my hand and is not heavy at all.
The camcorder uses a 20 gb hardrive as the recording medium rather than the tapes or discs alot of the other types do. So one big advantage is not having to go out and buy a load of tapes or discs to record on.
You can record up to 25hrs of recording...

JVC Everio GZ-MS100
Advantages: Cheap, reasonable video quality, easy to use
Disadvantages: Far too youtube orientated.
...I recently purchased this camcorder for my upcoming holiday to the Lake District. Said holiday is looking to be a very bad choice if this weather continues. Maybe I should have forgotten about the whole adventure holiday in Britain thing and gone somewhere warm. Oh well, guess I've made my bed...anyway, on to the camcorder.
Look and design
The camcorder is reasonably good looking, nothing strikes you as wow about it, but nothing makes you go 'yuck' either. It is fairly lightweight and quite ergonomic, making it easy to hold and use. The only thing I disliked about it was, as seems to be more frequent with camcorders, the god damn YouTube sticker on the side (wow, YouTube appears in my spell checker) I look at this camera and think; 'I want to record my holiday, I do not want to be a frigging (refrains from swearing...

JVC Everio GZ-MG575. A must have!
Advantages: Too many!
Disadvantages: None
....
*******************************************************
Features:
>Optical Sensor Type: CCD Sensor
>Optical Sensor Size: 1/2.5"

This high resolution means you can record your video and still images having very high detail. Thanks to the high resolution you can enlarge your captured images to a high level without losing image quality.
>Widescreen video capture
>Media: Hard disk drive
Its great to have an integrated hard disk drive. Its 40 GB capacity is enough to record 50 hours of video. Just keep on recording and when no space is left, transfer the data to your computer and start recording again. Its really fun!
>Optical Zoom: 10 x
Without losing any image quality, you can zoom up to 10 x with JVC Everio GZ-MG575 Camcorder. This zoom is more than enough for me.
>Digital Zoom: 300 x
If you will zoom to a high level you will surely...

JVC HD Camcorder
Advantages: Light, easy to use, good quality video and still, easy to transfer to/from computer
Disadvantages: Does not come with a bag
...I have bought this JVC camcorder over an year ago and I am completely satisfied with it.
JVC is a good brand name and their lenses are of top quality. The company pioneered the HD camcorders. This camcorder is very light and handy and easy to use. 20GB hard disk is more than enough to store all your photos and videos taken in one vacation.
This is a very user friendly device. The 4-way (up, down, left, right) menu selector switch allows you to browse through various settings (like brightness, aperture etc.).Apart from that, there are main mode selector (still or video) switches. All you need to do is to select the appropriate still/video mode and press the shutter. The LCD screen shows you what you are capturing. If you are not satisfied, you can delete it with the press of a button other wise save it in the 20GB hard disk!

JVC Everio GZ MG30
Advantages: Hard disc recording - no tapes
Disadvantages: low battery time
...I was sceptical - read lots of reviews that were non commital about the quality of the camera.
Never having had a digital camcorder before, I did a huge amount of background research and that just left me not wanting anything with tapes or DVDs that need changing, editing or run out at the innoportune moments!
So, I got onto ebay and got myself (for 250 GBP!!!!) from the US, a brand new Everio. After paying import duty (caveat emptor) I got it and most impressive it is too
Small is the first thing that you notice - small, but it fits my hand perfectly, and my wife's hand too (and she has little hands). It feels like a good extension of your arm and is not at all heavy, even after some extensive use.
Ease of USE - without reading a manual at all (what a man!) I managed to figure out the way to record and then to review what I...

JVC Everio GZ-MC200
Advantages: No tapes, and it's TINY !
Disadvantages: "Only" one hour on an expensive 4GB microdrive...
...At last, a review from me of something you can actually buy new !
The JVC Everio GZ-MC200 records your digital video footage on a 4 GB microdrive, a mini removable hard disk instead of a tape. Take good care of this microdrive - it's a mini hard disk - as replacements are quite expensive.
The 4 GB microdrive will let you shoot about one hour of video in MPEG-2 compression at a resolution of 720x576 pixels and a data rate of 8.5 MB/sec (in Ultra Fine mode), more if you turn the quality down.
In addition, the Everio has a 2.12 megapixel CCD sensor (0.28 inches) that can produce still photographs at four different resolutions, with the maximum resolution 1600x1200 pixels. This resolution produces more good quality photos when printed at 4"x6". You can fit 4,500 two-megapixel still images or five hours of audio recording...

Great lightweight camcorder, ideal for home movies
Advantages: Light weight, easy-to-use interface, low price, good picture quality
Disadvantages: Short battery life, not very compatible with Mac, bundled software is substandard
...of the proprietary MPEG-2 format.
* It's around 300g (about 11 ounces) so is very lightweight.
* USB 2.0 slot for transferring files to your computer.
* Touch screen menu navigation.
My experience
I was attracted to the JVC GZ-MG330 camcorder because I use a Mac and it was supposedly compatible with my Operating System. The price was quite low in comparison to other camcorders, and it received generally good reviews. Unfortunately, my own experience hasn't been fantastic - I've had a number of compatibility issues on the Macintosh, which seriously downgraded picture quality. I discovered that at least part of the problem was related to video interlacing - the video had to be de-interlaced when converted from .MOD to another format to prevent horizontal lines appearing. If you are using a Mac, I recommend you look for another camcorder.

Utilitarian case by JVC
Advantages: light, spacious, handy, good material
Disadvantages: no velcro compartments
... JVC CB A79 Case Camcorder
also known as "reporter bag"
INTRO
With a weight below 180 grams this medium-sized case can be considered, without a doubt, a lightweight case. I have been looking for a case where to put my werdly-sized camera (Canon S5 IS) for a long time after the fiasco of the original canon bag in which my camera does not fit properly; so I was in a shop (Curry's) the other day and I spotted this case on a shelf with a 97p tag on it. I asked the assistant if it was indeed 97p and so it was... I imediately bought it. I later found out that the price of this bag usually varies between £10-£15, currently on amazon is around £13 so I can consider myself quite lucky and happy of the amazing deal.
OVERVIEW
So let's see some details, first of all the size: approximately 17 x 11 x 10cm. The material...

jvc camcorder
Advantages: very easy to use, small and light
Disadvantages: ?
...microphone or headphone socket with this camcorder, and neither is there a flashlight. This will put the camcorder at a serious disadvantage when compared with Sony's aggressively priced DCR-TRV22 DV camcorder, it has to be said.
The 8MB MultiMedia Card (SD card is an optional accessory) slots in behind the LCD screen door. Digital stills can be taken in JPEG format in two resolutions- 640x480 (standard) and 1,024x768 (fine) pixel modes. Jvc has included a feature called DPOF (Digital Print Order Format) which allows the tagging of skills stored on the MMC card for later printing.
Also included is Windows-only software called Digital Photo Navigator, designed to facilitate USB transfer of stills editing them in a PC. Image mixer is also included, providing the capability to create VCD movies via USB or FireWire - a feature only now...
