As it's a really small camcorder compared to conventional models, you'll probably find you have plenty of space left in the bag for some tapes, lenses, and whatever else you want. Probably £20 or so. **Conclusion:** The JVC GR DX25 should keep most home users happy and it's small enough to slip in a coat pocket, so you will find you're able to take it with you and use it so much more than a bulky model. They Don't Come Much 'Mini-er' Than This

Advantages: Very small and therefore more likely to get used
Disadvantages: You have to be careful where you put your hands!

Apart from confirming the existence of the DV-Out link, I was more interested in preserving the facilities I had, like the ability to shoot a true 16:9 picture, since I have a wide-screen TV monitor. Yes it could shoot wide-screen so that was the only obstacle cleared up. Now I've had time to peruse everything it does, the only functionality I've lost is the ability to plug a remote microphone in, which I never did anyway. This is only for holidays and days out after all ? I?m not a one-man news team. What it does do is far more important. There's a whole product range of these diminutive JVC camcorders ranging from my DX25 to the 35, the 45, the 55 and finally the DX95, all looking the same, differing only by what has been packed into them. For example, the 95 has a flashlight and the ability to shoot stills to a separate memory...

...With the surge in popularity of DVD recorders, it is very hard to notice the humble DVD player nowadays and it comes quite low on the list of 'must-haves'. However, if you are in the market for a good DVD player that is packed with features, the JVC XV-N55SL would be worthy of consideration. We have had ours a couple of years now, but last year it got relegated to the dining room when we purchased our DVD recorder. The Sound of Silence......JVC Style.........

Advantages: Stunning Sound and User Friendly
Disadvantages: Limited Use and JVC Helplines are useless.......

...We had this JVC KDSH 77 player installed in our car ( ALFA Romeo147) by Halfords about 18 mths ago. I must say the sound was absolutely brilliant through the cars own fitted speakers ( Sony x 8 ) and for a while we were extremely happy with all the features on this machine. It played all our CD/Rws, had a very simple to use tuner,with plenty of power,looked great,was user friendly and fitted in the dashboard perfectly. No problem there I hear you say . However....Unfortunately. True to form as has been proved with many JVC car audio / music systems before. The 12 month guarantee was up and within a couple of weeks almost to the day. Guess what ?? It packed in. ( Error Message on Screen ) Went back to Halfords...Not our problem, Sir... Our 12 month warranty is just up, any problems in the last twelve months...

Stereo separation and overall quality is much as to be expected from mics of this type, reasonable but lacking the depth and resonance of higher-spec systems. Conclusion: In keeping with market trends, JVC has responded to the need for full digital and analogue connectivity on this model, and this is to be applauded.
