JVC GZ-MG70 Hard Disk Camcorder
Review of JVC Everio GZ-MG70 by
davidwilsonarch
Advantages: Very easy to use
Disadvantages: none
...of surround sound when you watch them back on your system at home.
The models lower down the range have lesser quality lens and are not as good value for money. Since you dont need media ie DVD's or tapes this camcorder very good value for money.
The GZ-MG70 has a 30GB hard disk which can record for over 7 hours of ultra fine DVD quality, which is near broadcast quality. Or 14 hours of normal quality. It can also be used as a web cam with up to 37.5 hours max recording time.
The battery life is comparable with other camcorders, I havent yet run it non stop from full charge to empty in a single go yet. But my brother borrowed it and said it was about the same as his Samsung one.
If you cant affrod the JVC GZ-MG70 go for the JVC GZ-MG60 they are the same expept for the recording time, the JVC GZ-MG60 only has a 20GB hard drive wich holds about 4Hrs...

Just Very Cool GZ-MG130
Review of JVC GZ-MG130 by
ausername
Advantages: excellent picture recording, easy to use, durable, exceptional sound pickup
Disadvantages: the LCD screen can be difficult to see in bright conditions
...Recording those special moments in life have never been easier for me since I bought the JVC GZ-MG130 for £300 (well, £299.99 incl delivery) prior to Christmas. Deciding which camcorder to buy was something of a minefield with so many different models, brands and additional features to take in consideration. A quick comparison between a few of the lower end models drew me away from my a budget purchase and towards the JVC GZ-MG130. The main selling point was not the range of features, it was just because my trusty JVC stereo of 14 years is still going strong, still looks the part in my lounge and has never needed the slightest bit of attention by an engineer.
The JVC GZ-MG130 is a digital camcorder which means that it is visibly smaller than many other models as it records to a 30 GB hard disk drive rather than a tape, DVD or memory...

High zoom
Review of JVC Everio GZ-MG21 by
denon1985
Advantages: No more tapes
Disadvantages: Short battery life
...I recently upgraded my camcorder from a sony one that took 8mm tapes to the JVC hard drive 20gb.
The JVC is very compact it has the video and it also has a built in digital camera which is an added bonus the camera isnt excellent but its just as good if not better than the £80 digital cameras you can buy, the only thing the JVC didnt have which the sony did was night vision mode which i found to be a great extra on the sony, what the JVC had instead was a light at the front which can be turned on by a button on the side and to be honest its not that good, It does light the room up but the picture doesnt seem to be very good when you play it back, another reason i bought the JVC was the high zoom it offered 32x optical zoom so i couldnt wait to try this out but to my anoyance its really difficult to get the picture you want and even when...

JVC HD Camcorder
Review of JVC GZ-MG130 by
data_ray
Advantages: Light, easy to use, good quality video and still, easy to transfer to/from computer
Disadvantages: Does not come with a bag
...I have bought this JVC camcorder over an year ago and I am completely satisfied with it.
JVC is a good brand name and their lenses are of top quality. The company pioneered the HD camcorders. This camcorder is very light and handy and easy to use. 20GB hard disk is more than enough to store all your photos and videos taken in one vacation.
This is a very user friendly device. The 4-way (up, down, left, right) menu selector switch allows you to browse through various settings (like brightness, aperture etc.).Apart from that, there are main mode selector (still or video) switches. All you need to do is to select the appropriate still/video mode and press the shutter. The LCD screen shows you what you are capturing. If you are not satisfied, you can delete it with the press of a button other wise save it in the 20GB hard disk!
HD...

JVC Camcorder
Review of JVC GZ MG57 by
stacey21sd
Advantages: Compact and stores seven hours of video
Disadvantages: Slow autofocus
...'s all still life. It would be good in years to come to look at the pictures and remember but how much better would it be to watch the look on his face when he sees his christmas presents. And better still, watch him take those precious first steps. Ok, so a camera, not good enough anymore. Not when technology is progresing so rapidly.
So I invested in a camcorder. The JVC GZ MG57 to be precise.
However I hate all the technical stuff, so needed something that was relatively easy to get my head around. Thankfully the whole menu system that the camcorder has going on was easy to get my head around and I got my bearings relatively quick. The menu system provides quick and easy access to the shooting settings e.g shutter speed and scene modes.
I was worried about the size of the camcorder though, as I have big hands. I did find it to be quite...

JVC Everio GZ-MG575. A must have!
Review of JVC Everio GZ-MG575 by
safari004
Advantages: Too many!
Disadvantages: None
....
*******************************************************
Features:
>Optical Sensor Type: CCD Sensor
>Optical Sensor Size: 1/2.5"
>Camcorder Sensor Resolution: 5.4 Mpix
This high resolution means you can record your video and still images having very high detail. Thanks to the high resolution you can enlarge your captured images to a high level without losing image quality.
>Widescreen video capture
>Media: Hard disk drive
Its great to have an integrated hard disk drive. Its 40 GB capacity is enough to record 50 hours of video. Just keep on recording and when no space is left, transfer the data to your computer and start recording again. Its really fun!
>Optical Zoom: 10 x
Without losing any image quality, you can zoom up to 10 x with JVC Everio GZ-MG575 Camcorder. This zoom is more than enough for me.
>Digital Zoom: 300 x
If you will zoom to a high level you will surely compromise on image...

JVC Everio GZ-MC200
Review of JVC Everio GZ-MC200 by
matt_fantastic
Advantages: No tapes, and it's TINY !
Disadvantages: "Only" one hour on an expensive 4GB microdrive...
...At last, a review from me of something you can actually buy new !
The JVC Everio GZ-MC200 records your digital video footage on a 4 GB microdrive, a mini removable hard disk instead of a tape. Take good care of this microdrive - it's a mini hard disk - as replacements are quite expensive.
The 4 GB microdrive will let you shoot about one hour of video in MPEG-2 compression at a resolution of 720x576 pixels and a data rate of 8.5 MB/sec (in Ultra Fine mode), more if you turn the quality down.
In addition, the Everio has a 2.12 megapixel CCD sensor (0.28 inches) that can produce still photographs at four different resolutions, with the maximum resolution 1600x1200 pixels. This resolution produces more good quality photos when printed at 4"x6". You can fit 4,500 two-megapixel still images or five hours of audio recording...

JVC MG142E - What a cracker
Review of JVC Everio GZ-MG175EK by
Vickijake
Advantages: Lightweight, Easy to use, Lots of built in memory
Disadvantages: None so far
...I have just brought the JVC MG142E and wanted to let you all know what a great little camcorder it is!
First I should probably give you the technical stuff!!
40GB Inbuilt Hard Drive
34 x Optical Zoom
800 x Digital Zoom
2.7" Widescreen LCD Screen
Memory Card slot for SD card
Includes Image Stabiliser
Night Vision
Now, I am not exactly what you call an expert in technology but I found this little machine so great to get started with, after charging the battery for the first time, which takes about 1 1/2 hours, it is very easy to get to a point where you are recording.
The first time you switch it on it starts up in Auto mode, meaning the focus, screen brightness etc is correctly selected for you. You can easily switch to manual mode but I have not been brave enough yet!!
It prompts you to enter the date/time setting using...
