Advantages: Great route in terms of iconic london landmarks
Disadvantages: Poorly organised, expensive to enter, lack of water

...the Westminster bridge area. Because of the sun and lack of fluids I'd begun to feel quite ill by this point. It was so hot but I was shivering all over and just felt sick. At 8K which was running back over Westminster bridge back towards the houses of parliament I actually was sick which was really unpleasant for me. After that I just lost the will. I'd made my 5K time in 28 minutes which was really good for me and I was hoping to do the whole 10K in 55 so things had been looking good. After the sickness I was barely able to finish and in fact the slowest runner in our party who had been planning a 1 hour 20 race time crossed the line just after me. We both managed it in 1 hour 6 which she was delighted with. Something which annoyed me and at the time I thought was just ridiculous was a sign that said 400m to go a little way after the 9K marker.
