Absolutely Beautiful.

Advantages: Stunning Place.
Disadvantages: Beach.

...On holiday me and my fiancé Dave are not the type of people who like to stay in one place and just explore that area, instead we opt for the more adventurous path of getting out and seeing the sights. When given a relatively small island like Corfu we couldn't help but just pinpoint a place on the map and just go not knowing what it will be like. This is how we ended up in Kassiopi and it was quite a pleasant day we spent there. ----- First impressions: The drive to Kassiopi across the North coast is quite pleasant to be honest and then the sign for Kassiopi kind of takes you by surprise and diverts you from the main road. When we drove into Kassiopi we thought it was very quaint and I did not think there was anything there as we were driving down these small winding streets that were so long. Also as you are driving around...

Kassiopi - The Loveliest Resort on Corfu!

Advantages: Great Beaches, Friendly People, Fabulous Climate
Disadvantages: Negligible...

...KASSIOPI, CORFU I spent two weeks in Kassiopi, a little fishing village on the Ionian island of Corfu, in September of this year. And quite frankly, it is such a stunningly gorgeous place that I almost have reservations about promoting it in any way whatsoever ?alas, my altruism got the better of me, so here goes! WHY KASSIOPI? Having decided on a holiday in Greece, my husband and I considered renting a villa on Corfu, together with our 2 year-old son & my in-laws. Characteristically enough, we ended up leaving things to the very last minute, but when it came to booking it really was a case of last come, best served! The company we used, Meon, had one last, lonely Villa left languishing on its books in all of Corfu for the dates we wanted to travel. This was Villa Apanemia, in Kassiopi, and so Apanemia it was. I'd never even...

Rainy Corfu

Advantages: Close to Albania and very picturesque
Disadvantages: Rains a lot out of season

...I went on a holiday to Corfu with a boyfriend in 1998 and stayed in the Resort of Kassiopi. It is quite a small town with not many bars and clubs and would make an ideal location for a family holiday. There is a small beach to the north of the town and a small harbour with cafes and restaurants around it. The rest of the island was visited on Moped while we were there. Here is my opinion on the rest of the island. On the middle East coast is the port town of Corfu Town. This is where the airport is and where you arrive. The more lively younger people tend to head south here to Kavos and the other people head north to Sidari and Kassiopi. Kavos is the clubbing town with lots of bars and clubs and beach. The beach is covered in rubbish washed in from the sea though and looks untidy. Corfu town is the capital of the Island and has...

The island of Corfu

Advantages: Nice island
Disadvantages: not in Swptember

...I visited the little Island of Corfu in September 1998 and was left with mixed feelings. I have visited several Greek Islands and This ranks lowest on my list. I stayed in the resort village of Kassiopi which is about an hour on a coach from the Airport at Corfu Town. Its a coastal fishing village by trade and sits near the north East Tip of the Island. You can see Albania just across the water only 6 miles away. To the North Coast are the quiet beach resorts of Sidari and Roda. This is for the easy going beach holiday types that want nothing more than to Lie on a beach all week. If you expect anything else you will be dissapointed as there is very little else. If its fun and excitement you want, You need to be in the south part of the Island. The party capital of the island is Kavos. Kavos holds all of the bars...

A little piece of heaven on earth

Advantages: Perfect holiday destination for peace and quiet
Disadvantages: Not so good if you want to dance the night away.

...I've just got back from a week in a little villa just outside Aghios Stefanos, and I thought I'd see what other ciao'ers thought about it. Well there are only two other reviews, and niether seem to be over informative, but the thing that prompted me to write this is that there are actually THREE villages in Corfu with this name and I think the other articles may be about the 'other' two. For avoidance of doubt, the Aghios Stefanos I visited is on the North East coast at the closest point of the island to mainland Albania, and in between the larger resorts of Kassiopi and Nisaki. This was our first visit to Corfu. We were looking for peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings with friendly local people and glorious weather. Throw in a little bit of walking and local culture and it would be our perfect holiday. Well I'm happy to...

Diamond review  Cheap Chic, But At A Price...

Advantages: Full of Fashion Bargains...
Disadvantages: Cheaply made, Crowded Stores, Questionable Ethics

...at the 'Exchange & Return' counter are an excellent testament to the consequences of clumsy impulse purchases. My last proper Primark spree took place last summer, when I contrived to secure an entire wardrobe for a 2-week break in Corfu for about £50. Cheap things are ideal when you've already spent a fortune on a holiday, have small children, and know your clothes are probably just going to end up ruined anyway? So, for the £50 I bought 5 bikinis, two sarongs, two pairs of shorts, three skirts, and about six vests. Must say, I felt very pleased with my clever, penny-pinching ways as I sashayed away down the High Street afterwards. Fast-forward a week and I'm at the villa in Kassiopi, head to toe in my Primark bargains as I recline by the pool on a sun-lounger. The Father-in-law returns from the village with two bottles of Greek wine and a two...

Kalami- Corfu

Advantages: Amazing, relazing, beautiful.
Disadvantages: Some parts are very chavvy and "english"

...you prefer relaxing and peace, and traditional Greek athmosphere, then Kalami or Kassiopi are your best bets! They have the sun, the sea, and pools, they have the shops and tavernas, but without the screaming stag partyers, the student types on a typical binge holiday!!! And if you do want the odd night of partying, remember the island is only 15 miles from coast to coast, so you'll always be able to get to one of the towns with that within 10 minutes by taxi. Theres plenty to do, whetehr you hire a car and drive around or choose to take coach trips, or even just stay around the beach. I loved it in Corfu, and I'm sure you will too!...

Corfu - paradise amongst the olive groves

Advantages: Climate, variety of resorts, cheap good food
Disadvantages: Kavos a bit rowdy, long bus transfers, wet in autumn

...Corfu is a truly wonderful island. Its climate is perfect (warmth guaranteed from early May to late September), the food and wine cheap and of good quality and the locals charming. Whether you are looking for a holiday where you party hard by night and sleep by day or if you are simply wishing to treat the family to a couple of weeks in a relaxed warm climate then Corfu is for you. Such is the diversity of the island that you can take your pick of resort. Clubbers must surely choose Kavos. Bars and clubs throb all night and thankfully tone it down during the day a bit to allow some rest to be taken on the beach or in your appartment! For younger people this is the most popular resort. However if rest and relaxation is your style, try Kassiopi to the North East of the island or Sidari in the North West. The former resort is...

Captain Theo's Barbecue Cruise

Advantages: Fabulous Day out for everybody
Disadvantages: it has to come to an end

...and everybody was singing and having water fights and acting no better than the kids. As it approached lunchtime we stopped at a bay known as Limnopoula (close to Kassiopi). The bay was filled with sunbeds but not a soul was to be seen, nor a building or anything except this deserted beach. The boat moored a little way out, but a bridge was placed down for us to reach the beach. Whilst moored here, everyone was diving from the boat into the crystal waters, the beach was so clean and the sea was as clear as tap water. Theo and his crew set up the barbecue here, and hey what a barbie it was, the food was delicious with steaks, chops, sausages and all the other norm babrbie meat, there was salads galore, potatoes everything you could want and tons of it, you just kept going back as much as you wanted and it just never run out. Nor did the wine...
