...engine up i found that the chain had cut into my cylinder block too!!! This problem seems to be inherent of Kawasaki's of this age (1982 on wards), as my dads mate who had a 550 version also complained of the same problem. On his new Kawasaki though, the problem seems to have been rectified. On almost all of these Kawasaki's there is almost always some sort of transmission rattle, all the GPZ's i have seen have all had some rattle. Summary If your after a decent bike with decent fuel economy and speed you can't go wrong with a GPZ 305. Ive been so impressed with it that I'm going to get the 400. Another beautifully engineered bike by Kawasaki. Look on ebay and I'm sure you'll find the GPZ your after. Cheers....

Review of Kawasaki GPZ305

Kawasaki ER-5 Not a bad bike at all !!

Advantages: Very cheap to run easy to maintain loads to choose from comfortable good handling
Disadvantages: Poor spongy brakes build quality a bit shoddy in places lumpy constant gear changes

...I bought my Er-5 in March 2008. So far it has been a great bike! I bought it second hand with just 11,500 miles on the clock at a very reasonable cost of £1300.00. To date this bike has been a real money saver it is very economical about 65 miles per gallon with tax and insurance prices being incredibly low! It is perfect for everyday commuting and not bad on motorways and long journeys. All the power is midrange and shortlived. Don't expect much more than 100mph top end and be prepered to change gear ALOT! Take off from a standstill start is ok and will beat average family cars off the mark. Handling is surprisingly agile with no dramas. Confidence in riding this bike grows quickly! The engine & exhaust has a nice thumping note that sounds better than the actual performance! Basic servicing is really easy on the ER-5...

GT Aggressor XC2. What a Bike for the Money

Advantages: Strong Frame and Wheels, Tyres do not let go
Disadvantages: None really!!

...Bought this bike with my work cycle to work scheme. A great buy from Halfords. Excellent speck for the price and a very strong bike. I'm 18st 10 (253 ibs) and in my opinion this bike can handle this weight easily. Great colour Black with like a Pearlesent White, Very good speck components, Shimano Deore derauillers and Sram Truvatic Crank. Hydrolic Brakes and Discs. These will stop you instantly and do tare a little time to get used to or a flight over the bars could come along. These sqeak when covered in Muck and Water for the first few occasions, but when used this disapates. Wheels are Alex DP17 rims, Strong, Maxxis Ingnitor Tyres Grip like hell. Suntour XCR forks are ok for Cross Country riding, Not a great Jump fork, but hey Im no Jumper! (I think that if yoiu are lighter than me you could have some safe landings with these...

My Mean Green Kawasaki

After cutting my teeth on a VFR400R (an absolutely gorgeous bike) I thought it was time to move up to something a bit more powerful. At the time I weighed 13.5 stone, despite me being short at 5'7". Due to my weight I thought I needed something that was at least 600cc (the 400 started to struggle pulling me!). I had always liked the Kawasaki ZX's. The 600s were a bit out of my price range but I found this American imported ZX-7 on the Lings website. I called and booked a test ride for the following Saturday. On Yer Bike!

Advantages: Great fun, slow, Harry loves it
Disadvantages: Noisy, siren is a pain

In fact, he's not into anything that moves too fast or does things that he doesn't expect to happen, pretty much like any 2 and a half year old I expect. So as you can imagine, I wasn't overly thrilled when I found out last year that Harry's great aunt had bought him a motorised motor bike. Please bear in mind last Christmas he was only 21 months old and consequently pretty small and unconfident, but nonetheless, the Halfords Mini Racer Bike was on its way to us courtesy of my parents. It wasn't something we expected to keep for long but funnily enough, its now become Harry's favourite ever toy! Kawasaki GPZ 500 Honest review!

Advantages: Reliability, cost, engine.
Disadvantages: Brakes,front end handling.

...I thaught i,d write a review on the GPZ500 as i have owned one for 15 months now, untill it was stolen 3 weeks ago! :( allthough it has since been recovered and im hoping to buy it back off the insurance company. (hence my review on the vfr400 nc24 which i braught to replace it) My bike is an 96 reg on an N reg, and had 10,000 miles when i braught it, and i have covered 7500 miles on it. Ok as with the NC24 review i,l start from the front and work my way backwards! Front tyre is 17 inch and lasts a while, it had an original front tyre on it when i got it, and only cost me £60 to replace it, so if youre gentle with the braking etc you can expect 7-8 thousand miles from a front tyre maybe more! The forks are good enough, i havent had to replace fork seals yet, but they are pretty soft, which is a god thing for this style...

Review of Kawasaki GPZ500s

Kawasaki ZXR 400 L

Advantages: Fast, Light, Cheapish, Cracking looking bike, and most your riding a kawasaki in Team Green!
Disadvantages: Wrists and backside hurt after long journeys.

...Where do i start? What a FANTASTIC bike! I've had my ZXR 400 L3 for around about a year now, and it has been one of the most exhilarating rides I've had. The handling on these lightweight sports bikes is mind blowing, it just begs for you to twist the throttle more when your in the bends. The acceleration will keep up with some other 600's! However the top end is the same. These are high revving bikes and you need to keep the revs high to have the fun. And for all you wheelie maniacs (including me) this bike is easy to wheelie! The comfort is ok, I rode from Oxford to Essex on mine and when i got off i was walking around like John Wayne. Who cares though, Your riding a Kawasaki and nothing can beat that!...

Kawasaki Z750 2007

Advantages: Excellent value, awesome looks, easy to live with.
Disadvantages: Relatively expensive insurance.

...I passed my DAS test earlier this year and spent a few months researching which bike to buy. I had a budget of around £5,000 which was not quite enough to buy the new 2007 model Kawasaki Z750. I have always liked the look and shape of the Z750, which I think is even more improved in the 2007 model. When I found out that there had been a price drop and 0% interest offer on the new model, I went straight to my local Kawasaki dealer. I bought a brand new black Z750 and although I can't really compare it to any other bike (as this is my first) I absolutely love it. I have just completed the 600 mile run-in which has enabled me to get more used to the bike and improve my general skills. For a novice, the bike is very forgiving considering how powerful it is and I can sense that it will keep me interested for many years to come...

Review of Kawasaki Z750

Kawasaki Z750 - Commute, scratch and tour.

Advantages: Handles well for a 'budget' bike, friendly for newbies and fun for the experienced. Engine good
Disadvantages: Suspension could do with improvement, brakes are only so-so.

...Well, having passed my full motorcycle test (Restricted A2, 33bhp for 2 years) back in December, I wanted to quickly get rid of my 2k7 (and getting very expensive to run (+ uneconomical, noisy and useless at long distance faster riding) RS125. I kind of bought the Z750 on impulse. It was a good price for me (some £400 below parkers list) and for a 5 year old bike, incredibily clean. I would commute and enjoy occasional fun runs for about 800 miles before getting it restricted to comply with the (IMO!!) stupid EU regulations, so obviously performance now is merely adequate, but beforehad the 750's powerplant would give you all the performance you'd need (and want) on a public highway! Handling wise, well, let's say that in the corners it has no trouble dealing with being thrown about, so long as the road isn't really bumpy, then...
