...The Kenwood KDC-237 SA is a very sleek and modern looking cd player, with the funky stick control for the track selection and the perfectly placed volume control, also given a stainless steel look just to finish off the look. This unit will stand out in your dash!!! As a cd player it is very good value for money, with the easy to use control interface and user freindly buttons it is definatly one of the easiest to use on the market today. The only disadvantages are the fact that there is no CD changer option, aswell as no mp3 capabilities. However, if your looking for a simple and easy cd player then this is the one to choose, however, if its a large and powerful system you are after then the other kenwood units are the way forward. Overal a very good unit....

...My Experience: -------------------- Time to move from the house to the car as far as reviews go and here I am going to tell you all about my car stereo the Kenwood KDC 334SA. I bought this stereo about two years ago when it was relatively up to date but since has been made to look like an antique already as do many electronic gadgets nowadays. I went to Halfords which is were I paid £120.00 for this unit and they installed it for me whilst I stood there it took about 15 minutes for the guy to fit it and looked very easy just undoing clips and replacing them with matching colored wires sorry I can't be more specific but I did not fit myself and would always advise getting somebody to fit your new car stereo unless you really know what you are going in which case me telling you how to fit would be a waste of time anyway. Big Daddy of the flip front world

...I have a KDC 8080 in my Primera now. I have owned the stereo for about 18 months and the equivalent stereo made by Kenwood now is the 8090. Its not a lot different, just a facelifted model. Its not the first Kenwood Stereo I have owned. In fact, it is the 3rd. I started out with a cassette unit originally when CD players were £400+ to buy. My Tape machine was £220 then. I then bought my first Kenwood CD player for £200. It was a great unit but was front loading and only had one set of Pre outs and a music rating of 25W X 4. I then wanted more power because, at the time, I was running a Sub and a set of 6x9's. If the terminology is getting confusing, here is a description. Although we always hear negative publicity of MP3s due to Napster, I always thought that sooner or later MP3 would appear in car systems, it was a matter of when and now its arrived in the UK. Ive been waiting for this MP3 unit to arrive in Britain ever since I found out that Kenwood were on their generation 2 of MP3 in-car stereos in the USA. I previously used a Kenwood Minidisc receiver with a CD Changer, prior to installing this MP3 unit. Well onto the details. The KDC-MP6090R is a CD Receiver which can read normal CDS as well as CD-Rs and CD-RWs but the big selling point of the unit is its ability to read MP3 files, compressed to 128kbits from a CD-R(W).
