KEF KHT 3005 SE

Advantages: Look great sound great easy to install
Disadvantages: need a good amp to get the most out of them

...Hi there ! We own the new verson of the kef KHT 3005 whats known as the SE version(we used to have the old model). The new version is a vast improvement on the old model with the addition of the new tangerine tweeter. Power handling also seems to have improved. They fill the room with rich deep base from the new HTB2 sub woofer and they look absolutely fantastic ! We managed to get them at a fantastic price from The brotherhood of sound in Chesterfield at almost £200 off the RRP. It is noted that we are using Hi def audio from the new onkyo 875 receiver and from the PS3 blue ray movies are incredible! Overall well worth the money!!!!...

BMW 330 CI - Ultimate Driving Machine?

Advantages: Fast, silky engine, good looks.
Disadvantages: Expensive to buy, boot could be bigger

...I have a 52 plate 330CI which I have had from new. It's approaching it's 7th birthday, and in my opinion is a supurb machine. There was a few nigging faults when it was new, with the windows, quite a common problem, and the central locking has a fit every now and again. It has been through a couple of coil packs too, but they are quite cheap to replace. Enough of the negative points, this car drives like a dream, fast, and responsive when you want. Plenty fast enough to have your partner shouting in your ear to slow down, when you see some open road, but a quiet comfortable cruiser on long motorway runs. It is pretty fuel efficient too. I often get mid 30's MPG on the motorway, and mid 20's around town. Lets not forget this is a 3 litre in-line 6 cylinder engine with 231 BHP and 300 NM torque, so if you are heavy with your...

Looking at my budget, I could not really spend more than about £90, having just forked out for an AV amp, various cheap center speakers were considered, and rejected due to poor performance & build quality. KEF 2005.2 with Onkyo 606

Advantages: Style, sound and build quality

...I picked up the eagerly anticipated Onkyo 606 a few weeks ago; I have paired it with a KEF 2005.2 5.1 surround speakers, both in silver finish. I purchased both from A1 Audio based in Sheffield, who supplied direct to me in Glasgow. I also bought 2 set of KEF floor stands to mount the speakers on. The Onkyo/KEF system replaces a budget Sony out of the box DVD/surround 5.1 system... and what a difference, just a totally different experience. I have hooked up the Onk with my PS3 via HDMI for gaming, DVDs & Blu-ray use. Am not gonna put anything on the spec of the 606 here, as that is pretty widely available elsewhere. I have connected the KEFs to the Onk with QED silver micro speaker cable. Out of the box everything feels very well put together, very strong and sturdy quality build. ...I drive a reasonable number of miles in my work (around 3000/month) and have recently had the opportunity to sample several cars in this class. The Laguna has been my least favourite for a number of reasons. Firstly, I have been driving this particular vehicle for around 5 months. It is a hire car, and I am unsure of the trim level - there are no other markings on the car other than 1.9dCi. It is an up to date model - 05 plate. My main issue is comfort. I am just over 6ft & I find that the door handle is constantly rubbing my knee. This sounds minor, but when you are in a car for a couple of hours it becomes a huge annoyance.
