Advantages: Stunning scenery and an unspolit landscape

...It seems hard to imagine that less than 48 hours ago I was standing on the top of a mountain top village, Markopoulo in Kefalonia, watching the procession of church goers following the priest into the picturesque church. Kefalonia
Advantages: Friendly, peaceful, scenic, excellent value
Disadvantages: Might be a bit too quiet for teenagers etc.
...I've been to Kefalonia three times, most recently in 1999, and have booked again for 2001. My partner Jayne and I have been to various other Greek islands, but Kefalonia is our favourite and the one we keep going back to. Protecting The Survival of the Loggerhead Turtles of Kefalonia.
Advantages: Working to ensure that turtles are protected.
Disadvantages: A charity which relies on donations to keep going
