It is owned and operated by House of Fraser and is the largest department store in Manchester and is very centrally located. It offers a good range of items and always has some great buys in sale season (after Christmas and the summer) Location? Kendals is located on Deansgate and is right in the heart of the city and near to other shopping areas. Within a five minute walk of Kendals you will find other massive names such as Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and Marks and Spencer. If you are driving form outside of Manchester then Deansgate is well signposted once you approach the city centre and Kendals is clearly visible. It's not just for passing by, call on in.

Advantages: A charming and interesting town
Disadvantages: Too much Kendal Mint Cake is bad for the waist line!!

...To many people Kendal is a place name they see on the M6 if travelling to Scotland, or a name linked to the famous Mint Cake. It is in fact a lot more than that ? it is a lovely little Market Town well worth a visit in it?s own right. WHERE IS KENDAL? Originally Kendall was part of the, now defunct, county of Westmorland, it is now part of the South Lakeland district of Cumbria, 6 miles from junction 36 of the M6. Known as ?Gateway to the Lakes?, Kendal is in fact not part of the Lake District, although it is very close to it, less than a mile from the park?s boundary. It is, in fact, only around 9 miles from Windermere and around 30 miles from Keswick. ...I stayed at the Stonecross Manor Hotel with my friend and had a brilliant time. It is a superbly modernised leisure hotel in Kendal, right in the heart of the southern and central Lake District I'm really shocked at some of the negative feedback I've seen from people who have stayed at this hotel as I really enjoyed my stay. I'd read reviews slating the hotel before I booked it but after going to hotels in the past which I've really liked but heard negative feedback from them I knew not to take into account everyones views as we all have different expectations, and some of us are more fussier then others haha! I remember the days when you used to be able to buy Kendal Mint cake in the local spar, but those days are gone and you can no longer find Kendal mint cake as easily as popping into your local shop but instead it is found in the likes of health food stores such as Holland and Barret, and outdoor stores such as go outdoors. =WHAT IS IT Kendal Mint cake essentially is a glucose-based bar flavoured with peppermint that is often consumed by climbers and mountaineers due to it's high energy content. ...I absolutely love Kendal Mint cake - it is one of those sweet items that I have enjoyed since I've been little and continue to love even though. I don't know that many people who like it and I never know why because in my opinion it is just so nice!! What is it? Kendal mint cake is a block of sugar, glucose, water and peppermint oil. It is made by the sugar, glucose and sugar being boiled in a copper pan whilst being stirred and then the peppermint oil being added. Apparently if the mixture wasn't stirred then this would mean the mixture would become clear like glacier mints. Once it is ready the mixture is then the moulds and sets. It is so called Kendal mint cake because that is where it is made but there are different companies who do make it one being the above, Romleys. How big is it? A very good debut album

Advantages: There's nothing really not to like here
Disadvantages: A couple of weaker tracks but nothing to really detract from the album

...Those of you who may have read some of my other CD reviews will note a common theme - I seem to take chances and buy albums from previously unknown artists 'unheard', stumbling across some real gems. The latest of these is Kendall Payne and her debut album "Jordan's Sister", which would be categorised, I suppose, as 'indie rock and pop'. To me, she's simply a very good performer. This album was released back in 1999 by Capitol Records and has gone on to sell over 100,000 copies, which is no mean feat for someone who isn't exactly a household name in the UK, nor has had any music played on a radio station whilst I've been listening to it. On the evidence of this particular album she's clearly talented, and a cursory look at her biography tells me she's toured in the past with the likes of Ron Sexsmith and won a prestigious songwriting...

...Nestled in the valley of the river Kent is the market town of Kendal. Famous for its mint cake and shoes (K shoes) Kendal has a lot to offer the visitor. Kendal is found a few miles away from the M6 on the edge of the Lake District and the Yorkshire dales. ...If you've read any of my earlier opinions on Shiraz, you'll know that I am a big fan of this lovely red wine. Until now, I have always touted the Australian brands. Now I want to tell you about a fantastic discovery in a Californian blend. I was shopping in a local supermarket a few weeks ago when I spotted a bottle of Kendall-Jackson Collage Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz wine. It was displayed in a lovely greenish-tinted bottle and a lovely maroon and gold label with the standard "Kendall-Jackson" logo. I thought to myself, "If this looks as good as it tastes, it will have to be pretty damn good." I must say that with the very first sip, I was hooked on it's fruity yet hearty taste.
