kensington track ball mouse
Advantages: just so easy to uise
Disadvantages: take a litle getting used to
...I have been using a track ball mouse for a number of years now i think it must be at least five.Find it very easy to use for working on my projects hobby restoration of old photos.
For this type of work you need a good deal of control if you are to make a decent job restoring the photos, using photoshop i blow my image up to very large size then work at 1 or 2 pixels to get the effect that i am looking for with out the control of this track ball i would find it almost imposible to do the work, i know there are pen pads around i have one but cannot get on with it.
Doing my other computer work is so easy just a little bit of finger movement will put the mouse where i need it.
i also play games with it not the all singing danceing games that need a control pad of there own but the games that came with the laptop, again great...

This is one weird 'wild' mouse... ;)
Advantages: Bi - handed allowed, sleek (and modern), saves space, V.easy to use and it goes on.
Disadvantages: Dust may cause problems - but its not as bad as the dust affects on a typical mouse.
...Kensington Orbit Elite
Kensington - http://www.kensington.com. I?m not to sure if Kensington is a well known brand. All I know is that they are a computing business whom produces various computing products such as mice and wireless products.
So far I?ve heard many positive feed backs from consumers who have bought Kensington products. I?m not to sure but I believe Kensington are slowly building up there companies image to represent their high quality products.
I also believe that their prices for products are relatively cheap compared to other businesses and they still deliver top quality.

The second Kensington mouse
Advantages: Cool name (Mouse in a box \m/)
Disadvantages: Not as good as the ValuMouse, no scroll wheel
...So I sit at like the fourth PC I've been on over the past few days in my uni library, and come across yet a different mouse, this one again by Kensington. The same Kensington that have arguable made the greatest budget mouse of all time in the ValuMouse, but does "The mouse in the box" rival it's brother in arms.
The look similar, both white, mouse shaped, 2 buttons, kensington written across above the buttons, but thats where the looks end.
Well the first difference between the two it that this mouse is longer by about an inch and it's less "fat", so I'm guessing it was a basketball playing mouse before it retired to the desk job it now serves. This may seem trivial but it really doesn't fit the hand anywhere near as well as the Valumouse. The second difference design wise is both buttons have grooves on them but they don't feel...

Kensington ValuMouse
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Seems to wear out easily, can feel ungainly
...The Kensington value mouse comes in two different varieties. One with a scroll wheel and one without.
This review concerns the model with a scroll wheel.
This mouse can be found in most computer shops, supermarkets and stationers.
It is toward the cheaper end of the range and can usually be picked up for anything between £5-£7.99.
The mouse comes with a instruction booklet which is printed in various different languages and a floppy disk which contains all the drivers that are required to run the product.
The mouse is suitable for all computers with or without USB ports as a handy adapter is included in the pack.
The mouse can at first feel unwieldy and the scroll wheel can be incredibly stiff until you have used it for a couple of weeks. One you get used to the slightly bulbous fell of the mouse it is actually quite...

cool retro mouse
Advantages: good range
Disadvantages: a little big for a laptop
...Kensington Ci70LE Wireless Mouse
In terms of design the mouse and its colours and pattern feature on top of it make it look very cool, however it appears to be an odd shape and a little bit big. Perhaps if you have huge hands then this might just be the perfect mouse for you but I myself prefer smaller more compact mouse's as opposed to big clumsy ones.
It is however quite a nice red colour which is a colour you don't really see much in mouse's so if you have a laptop that is partially this colour or a pc that's this colour then perhaps this would suit it. The receiver is also in this red colour too which is nice to see as it matches quite well. I'm not sure it's a colour I like that much however it does make a change to the boring silver or black mouse and it does funk up your desktop a little.
The wireless signal can reach...

The Ultimate Mouse - No doubt
Advantages: No mouse mat needed, Stationary operation, Helps prevent R.S.I
Disadvantages: May require regualr cleaning
...The Kensington Orbit Elite Trackball is by far the best mouse I have used. Over the years it is easy to get throught mice as they become dirty and clogged up.
This one is different and the manufacturer must also believe in the product as it comes with a 5 year warranty. I have had mine for about 3 years now and there is slight wear on the left mouse button, however the rubber panel that runs down the middle of the device is showing no wear or tear at all.
This is no the best device if you are one for eating at your computer as crumbs and dirt on your hands will stick to the ball and find its way on to the runners inside the mouse. I find that taking the mouse apart and cleaning it throughout has and will preserve the life of the device and make it funtion at its best.
There is no need for a mouse mat as the mouse stays...

Excellent ball, the rest is awful
Advantages: Size, ergonomics
Disadvantages: Price, drivers, compatibility, customer support, noisy
...While the actual trackball is an excellent piece of equipement (big, ergonomic, plenty of buttons), everything else is quite wrong when you buy it.
The price is probably double what it should be, and for that money you get a very lousy customer support: no answers, or automated answers that don\'t pertain to the problem. Another problem is that the drivers are poorly designed and have plenty of conflicts with dotnet applications, like random crashes, components not working, and even freezing windows. Their answer after 5 emails: it\'s a known issue...(nowhere to be found on the website).
Pros: excellent ergonomics and functionality, ball is very big.
Cons: price, drivers, customer support, wheel is very noisy, must be cleaned every one-two days....

Definitely Expert
Advantages: Easily configurable for own preference
Disadvantages: Position of scrolling wheel
...My first experiences of trackballs were the type found on laptops, which are quite small, and I always found difficult to use. When it was suggested at a reassessment of the computer requirement, which I use for university, it was suggested that I consider a trackball to ease the problems that I was having with my hands and using a mouse, I was very sceptical.
After trying out a different model in the Kensington Range, I decided to try it, since then I have never looked back and really hate having to use a mouse on other peoples computers.
The trackball is about 5cm in diameter, which makes it easy to use with multiple fingers and thus easier to manipulate. The four main action keys are located around the trackball in accessible positions that can be reached without having to stretch your fingers meaning less strain is placed...

My mouse is floating on blue gel
Advantages: Comfortable and looks nice?
Disadvantages: ? but it's somewhat expensive for a mouse pad
...Kensington Duo Gel Mouse Wristrest Wave Black and Blue
I'm glad they included the picture of the mouse pad I bought with the same blue and black colours, for this product is also available in purple and green colours. But, I think that the purple and green one is not available from Amazon; only from other sellers on Amazon. Anyway, I use my laptop for a long time, but I never thought of buying a mouse pad because I used to think it's a clumsy thing. Recently, I started to notice the mark that the desk leaves on my wrist from using the mouse for a long time, and I thought of buying something more comfortable.
I found Kensington Duo Gel Mouse Wristrest on Amazon and I thought it looks nice, although I was a little hesitant when I saw the price. I bought it from Amazon although it costs £10.35, rather than buying it from other...

My favorite trackball/mouse/etc ever
Advantages: Ergonomic, control of pointer, battery life
Disadvantages: Takes a week to get used to
...This is probably my favorite purchase for my computer 'stuff' collection! I started using a cordED version of this thing 10 years ago or so at work, got one for myself, and after it died (was in use for 5 years, which is fair in my mind) I got the cordless version listed here. I love this thing, and here are some details on why:
Ergonomics - I think this thing is really good to reduce strain on your wrist, and after a week or two getting used to the way it works with your thumb being the finger to move the trackball, it's so easy to work with.
Detail on screen - at least for me, it's really easy to get exactly what I want to click on, easier than with a mouse! I know one reviewer doesn't like this for gaming... I love it for gaming! I do 1st person shooters a lot (i.e. HalfLife, etc.) and it works like a dream.
Software...
