... Visitor Information Chiddingstone Castle is 5 miles from Edenbridge in Kent, between the two more famous historic attractions of the area, Hever Castle and Penshurst Place. Travelling by car, without a sat nav, we found it best to follow the signs to nearby Hever Castle on the major roads. As we got nearer, on the B2027, we followed the Chiddingstone signs. If you have a sat nav, you will need the postcode TN8 7AD. They are open Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from Easter until the last Sunday of September. Information about additional open days can be found in the What?s On Section of their website, which includes Halloween and Christmas events. Before accepting the offer to go Worcester I travelled to it to investigate it and to see if it was for me. After travelling around some of the other universitys that I got into I came to the conclusion that this one was more for me conpared to any of the others. Kent fault the day at all!

Advantages: met new people, and some that I'd met before
Disadvantages: got up at 7.30am...

...On a leary Zeterday, a mort of fellowly foreigners came a limb-of-a-way to run agin a parcel of reemer men of kent and kentish men. Wus a plum pleasant day, helving with jawsies and jokesies, and nabbling while filling the parish oven with a dossett (or a cantell) of the local Spitfire. I be properly pleased that I went to the first meet to-year. Or, for those of you who do not posess a copy of "Kentish as she wus spoke" by Alan Major: On an overcast Saturday, an large number of companionable non-Kentish visitors came a considerable distance to meet up with a number of excellent inhabitants of the county of Kent. It was a very pleasant day, gossiping with chatterboxes and witty people, and holding idle conversation while filling our mouths with a small dose (or an indefinite number!) of the local Spitfires. Uni Great, College Let down

Advantages: Nursery facilities
Disadvantages: Disorganisation, poor structure, poor communication, unhelpful

...would be able to stay behind to wait for my husband as he really needed to get on the course and she said no. As a result I phoned South Kent College and explained the situation. They sent out an application form and invited my husband for an interview. He started college the following monday! The only good thing about the college is the nursery that is on campus. I have a two year old son and he loves it there. They are very organised and brilliant with the children. They are helpful when you have any problems and extremely understanding with financial issues. I hope that any students looking forward to going to Canterbury dont get too excited as it really is quite a let down....

The University of Birmingham

Advantages: Great teaching, facilities, opportunites and social life
Disadvantages: i am only here for 3 years, wish it could be more.

Although it is a difficult university to get in to, there are hundreds of different courses to choose from if you are not accepted on your favoured course. Also, they are quite lenient with grades as I did not achieve the expected marks but still got in... shhh! So what made Birmingham my number one choice? As soon as I arrived at the open day and got a walk around the campus I knew this was the place for me. Not only is it one of the leading universities in the UK for my course it is a beautiful place to study with its landmark clock tower, luscious all weather pitches and modern redbrick buildings.
