...The kenwood DB+ is an attractive sub, it has everything that you would want from a car sub, the looks, the power claim, and the trusted name brand. However the one thing that the kenwood db+ fails on is perhaps the most important thing of all, gut werenching bass. Most people are like me and buy a subwoofer for their car because they want thumping bass blasting out as they drive. If this is what you are after then this sub isnt for you. it has a max power claim of 1000 watts and dont get me wrong it is a loud sub. but there is just something missing. it seems to distort alot on low bass notes when the volume is up. I know you may be saying, 'well thats your amp,' but it isnt because i rana rockford off the same amp and it only had a power claim of 400 watts and it was twice the strength. it is all around not a bad sub, but i would... ...After putting up with the blown speakers in the rear of my car for some time..i decided to purchase some new ones! I went for kenwood to match the head unit,as i like to use one brand if i can...i have found in the past,that it can be easyer to connect all the componants together,and therefore making fitting a bit quicker! I guess that doesnt apply to adding speakers as such,but i still like to use the same brands where i can... Anyway,i found the KENWOOD KFC-1779IE just the right size that i was looking for..(sometime in the past,my car speaker system had been modded and i was looking for a direct replacement for the blown old speakers..) Advantages: ok for people on a budget, Nice colour, easy to install

...was ready to be installed. To mount the kenwood speakers, all i had to do was position the holes on the speaker to the holes in the door itself, align the screw and screw all four screws in til they were tight, all that was then left to do was plug the connection onto the terminals on the back (just used the old ones that were already there) and put the door panel back on. A good tip here is to get some dynamat on the door panel itself, and between the actual speaker and the metalwork of the car your mounting it on. This will prevent the sound from escaping outwards from the car, and redirect the sound into the car which is exactly where you want it to go (no good upgrading and letting the sound out). ...I bought a Kenwood Hi Fi System 2 years ago, and it is still in just as good condition as it was then. It has been moved about alot but still it is in perfect working order. I think that Kenwood are a very reliable make when it comes to music systems, many of my friends buy Kenwood products and they too have had no problems whatsoever. ...These 6 x 9 speakers are the best Kenwood can offer in their size and quality. HQ695 - stands for high quality 6 x 9 The frequency response is the smoothest i have seen (heard) Very simple to install, in minutes, on either a stelth shelf or in cabinets. Since my car was written off, I am using them as hifi spekers in my bedroom, and I can't be in the room when they are on half volume! They are never going to distort as they have a peak output of 260 watts each, thats 130 watts rms, you can't get a home amp big enough! They have an amazing reproduction quality over the broadest frequecy range i have seen, higher than cats and dogs can hear! Overall they are what you expect, amazing in car speakers (with a high quality amp) but also look stunning in ur bedroom put in wooden cabinets (full range speakers 3 way!!) Look to pay £150... ...I've had this Kenwood KRC191A headunit fitted in my Vauxhall Cav for over a year now and am very pleased with it! When the original unit in the car died I wanted a half decent replacement but was rather limited by my student budget. I picked up this headunit from the local Halfords for a penny under £100. For this price you get an excellent tape cassette (that lets face it is still the best format for in-car except maybe expensive minidisc units) and radio. 45 watts/channel provides plenty power with a good looking system including the usual bass/treble/balance/fade controls as well as traffic report interupt and attenuation for answering that phone call. Fit some good speakers (I have 60W Pioneer cones in the parcel shelf) and you've got a perfectly good sound system with the possibility of adding an external power-amp via the outputs... Read review

...I bought this amplifier to power my 4 main speakers in conjunction with another Kenwood amplifier to power the subwoofer. The KAC-648 is a budget amp at around £140 and is easy to install like many other amplifiers. It is a 4 channel amplifier and the rated power output at 4 Ohms is 25 Watts using all 4 channels and at 2 Ohms 35 Watts using 4 channels. The amplifier features gold plated line input/output and speaker input/output. ...Up untill it broke i had managed to live with a cheap daewoo headunit for my car. It was ok i thought, i connect a sub and amp to it and yea it sounded good. However as soon as i installed this kenwood headunit i could hear the differance!! The sound quality was amazing, produced better results through all my speaker ranges and had both well defined bass lines and good vocals even with the exact same speakers as i had previously used. The first thing that took my eye was the rubber edges to the controls, these feel really nce and increase the attractivness of the player. I also like the joypad like control on the right of the player which controls the cd track skip and play/pause functions. It is quite easy to kncok this to accidentaly change tracks though.
