The kettle is probably my least used kitchen appliance now. My family are predominantly coffee drinkers (a cup of tea has not passed my lips for 38 years!!) and since I purchased my indispensable Senseo Coffee Machine it is VERY rare that I make a cup of instant coffee. Great Kenwood Kettle

Advantages: Looks Great, Boils Fast and its Cordless!
Disadvantages: Being Silver it does show up any water, splash marks

...I have had my Kenwood Kettle now for 6 months and it is great. My previous kettle wasn't cordless and it was a terrible job trying to de-scale the kettle inside, but the Kenwood kettle I have no problems with what so ever. I have only had to de-scale this kettle once in the whole 6 months which was a very straight forward job as there are no elements inside the actual kettle. One of the main reasons I got this kettle is because I don't like having to wait around for ages for the kettle to boil. This one boils in under 2 minutes which isn't long at all. I also like this kettle as there is also a matching style of toaster you can get. I got mine from the argos catalogue and the kenwood toaster looks great next to the matching style of kettle. ...This kettle is one of the best i've found. It's very easy to use due to the swivel base and the water window does not mist up, as some others that i have tried do. It is also very easy to clean as it is made to reduce scale build up. The scale filter is also very useful and is easy to remove and clean. I have found the capacity to be perfect for large family gatherings and with the water window you can just as easily have just the right amount for one cup of tea. The light up power switch is very easy to use and my mother in law, who has arthritis in her hands, was able to use it with ease. The fact that it lights up is also useful as it is quite quiet when in use. There are times when I reach for the biscuit tin, other times when a bar of Cadbury`s will do the trick and times when I feel like something savoury.
