So now I had a really powerful modern Kenwood with a [free] food processor, large glass liquidiser, superb stainless bowl, and all the traditional tools, to which I have added a new mincer. The machine is an utter joy to both own and use. The sheer power of the motor, the infinitely variable speed, the four power outlets, and the Kenwood's simply majestic presense in the kitchen makes mere plastic food mixers pale into insignificance. Kenwood Kettle comes to stay and stay and stay

King of the Kitchen Machines

Advantages: It's a Kenwood!

...What a wonderful piece of equipment! I got this marvellous machine for my birthday (after months of dropping hints) and am absolutely thrilled. As one would expect from the Kenwood brand this machine is a joy to have in the kitchen. Previously I just had a Kenwood Food Processor (now 12 years old but still working perfectly having been passed on to my brother) but really needed a mixer as well because I love to make cakes. Now I can churn out cake after cake with ease - much to the enjoyment of my children! My husband found this on offer in House of Fraser but ordered it from Amazon as the package is far too big to bring home on the train. Marco's Kitchen

...I was once told that I was just like Marco Pierre White. Taking this as a compliment I mearly assummed that they were referring to how incredibly talented I am when working with food. Sadly this was not what they were getting at. I have recently discovered that it was more down to the fact that a lot of the time I say things which make no sense whatsoever! This is one way is what can make Marco's Hell's Kitchen so funny. I never watched it when Gordan Ramsey was doing it. But since Marco has taken over I've become completely addicted to it. Down to the fact that they've cut down the programme from what was 90 minutes to the hour, the amount of cooking where we actually got to see how they were doing it has been decreased. Appareantly due to the fact that ITV are 'skint' they couldn't afford to get any celebrities of a high standard...

Kenwood's Classy Kettle

If that's the case, dry boil protection is a must, as it means the kettle automatically switches off if there's no water in it. Rapid Boil: The kettle is 3kw and boils quickly, meaning you get your cuppa faster! Cord Storage: The cord can be sort of clipped into the base of the kettle, meaning that you can have the cord as long or short as you require. I found this especially useful as it means I don't have to have a long cord trailing across my kitchen worktop. Kenwood Major - A major success

...of reasons. Kenwood have been making these for decades and that has to count for something. The experience Kenwood has gives them an excellent reputation and rightly so. The build quality of these are tremendous, second to no other brand I have come across so far. I believe that Kenwood will continue to make these for decades to come giving you the piece of mind that you will be able to replace parts for the foreseeable future. I also think that the design of these is much more neutral and classic, making them fit into pretty much any design of kitchen unlike the very style-focused other mixers available on the market. The Major I bought came with a blender and a food processor which have proven very useful additions to this product. The only qualm I have had with this mixer in terms of the product so far is that my wife managed to snap the lid...

kenwood FP580 - Compact

Advantages: standard size but takes up little space
Disadvantages: not all accessories available to UK

...I have had my kenwood FP580 for a couple of months now and I love it. I only have a small kitchen and it sits in a very small corner - which means it is accessible at all times. It comes with many accessories including a dough tool, 3 cutting discs, whisk and blender. The 3 cutting discs store away safely in a disc holder. The main base has inerchangeable bowls and the blender. These are very easy to swap, although initially are quite stiff to remove but this soon loosens up. The 2 sizes of 'feeding' tubes in the lid of the main bowl, enables you to feed individual or handfuls of fruit/veg into the the processor to be ccot by one of the chosen blades. This is very safe, quick anf efficient. The instruction manual is just an A4 paper sheet but does list all the contents. The only downside I felt was that it lists all available discs...
