Ring of Brodgar

Advantages: Impressive, Neolithic site
Disadvantages: That concrete filling, which to be fair is not noticeable

...The Ring of Brodgar is a Neolithic henge and stone circle thought to have been erected between 2500BC and 200BC on the mainland island of Orkney and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Apparently henges (that is the circular flat area and surrounding bank/ditch) do not usually have stone circles in them and therefore this site along with Stonehenge are anomalies. Unfortunately because of the prominence of Stonehenge and the fact that a flat circular bit of land from Neolithic times doesn't really look like much, the unusualness of the site is rather overlooked as people flock to see yet another stone circle. Of the probable original 60 stones, 27 remain in a huge circle in an otherwise unremarkable field. * More security - less keys! . .

...This type of "Keyed alike" padlock is very useful, especially where you need two or three locks, having just the one key makes life that bit easier. Just remember that the inside of the padlock is steel, so it requires oil now and then - The size of keys may be important to you, these are a lot smaller than those provided with conventional locks, also they are very cheap nowadays - They do provide a visible deterrent, especially if they are a good sized chunk of shiny metal. I fitted a row of three of these on the in-laws shed, these particular locks were made by Legge, although there are hundreds of different manufacturers.The shed looks like Fort Knox, it looks very secure indeed, although in reality, all the locks are fixed to the same piece of flimsy wood. Review of Keyed Alike Padlock

The Skeleton Key .

Advantages: Good Voodoo story with a twist.
Disadvantages: Not too scary for a horror.

As Caroline settles in Violet gives her a key which supposedly unlocks all the doors in the house, but she soon discovers there's one door it does'nt open, this is the door to the attic room at the top of the house. She questions Violet on why the key does'nt work in that lock and is told it was like that on the day they moved in and the door has never been opened and it was best to leave well alone. ...we knew that Hope would like them too. I guess that the concept of these is to be like a key ring. At first I thought how odd to have keys on the teething ring instead of the usual animals or just plain rings. Once out of the packaging and given to Hope she grabbed them and jiggled them around. She didn't seem too interested in putting them in her mouth like you'd expect with a teething toy! She just liked to wave them around and hear the noise of the keys clattering together! Each key is a different colour and they are filled with a liquid which makes it gooey and soothing on their gums.
