...INTRODUCTION Being back in Breda, South Netherlands, I find myself staying long term in a hotel, as for some reason my company is unable to secure an apartment. On this plus side, this gives me an ideal opportunity to review the hotel and maybe notice and thing or two that I wouldn't normally on a usual short term stay. What follows is the result of my experience so far. Bear in mind I've been here for about 6 weeks, so no wonder I've noticed so much! LOCATION The Keyser Hotel is located on Keizerstraat, which is fairly close to the centre of Breda. The hotel blurb claims that it's between Rotterdam and Antwerp, which is pretty accurate. ...There are some films that have little advertising and promotion before launch, which end up being massive hits. The Usual Suspects, directed by Bryan Singer in 1995, is one of these films. The Usual Suspects is told in flashback after a waterside explosion killing twenty seven people. It revolves around five criminals, Dean Keaton (Gabriel Byrne), Michael McManus (Stephen Baldwin), Fred Fenster (Benicio Del Toro), Todd Hockney (Kevin Pollak) and Roger 'Verbal' Kint (Kevin Spacey), who meet during a police line-up, which they are all part off. ...I will never Ever forget this film, it is simply brilliant. The ending is so good you think of it for ages after having watched the film. This film includes the like of Kevin spacey who I rate as an actor, it starts with a five man line up who are called for a identity parade and become associates and start working together. The film is based on a character called Keyser Soser, and his exploits. The story is told by who we think is the last survivor Verbal Kent to a police officer. He repeatedly tells it in flashbacks, mixing present day events with past, which make most people think of Reservoir Dogs. As we listen to his story we try to determine who is Keyser Soser. It's a winner of two Oscars!

Advantages: The acting, the dialogue and the situations.
Disadvantages: The twists might irritate viewers.

...What made this film stand out was it's fascinating set-pieces and the brilliant portrayal of the apparently crippled Verbal Kint by a memorable career-defining, award-winning performance from Kevin Spacey. The film centres around five criminals each to their own who have been mysteriously arrested. They don't look anything like each other though and are soon released. But the reason why they are arrested soon becomes appearent as a strange lawyer (played by Pete Posthlewaite (?)) soon recruits them to take part in a dangerous heist headed by the legendary Keyser Soze. Soon enough though, the five are soon killed off on by one except Verbal, who seems to have disappeared during the heist There are moments in this film which are just remarkable. There are things you'll remember like 'New York's Finest Taxi Service' as a euphemism...

Unusual ending to say the least

...This must be the best film ever. It’s just so brilliant that when I think of the plot and the ending I am bewildered by it. You just have to admire the twist. This is such a clever movie. It stars Kevin Spacey as Verbal Kint who is just excellent. He sets everything up just brilliantly. They are at an identity parade and the five criminals get talking. They have thing in common the mythical and somewhat scary Keyser Soze who wants them to do a task for him. You’ll never guess the ending that’s what the brilliant part of it, its such a twist that you remain baffled for hours afterwards. Kint isn’t the leader of the five and therefore you don’t expect him. Keaton played by Gabriel Byrne seems to me of the leading person. ...What else can i say about this film that hasnt already been said, superb, wonderful, fantastic, i could go on and on. Everyone i speak to who has seen this film has stated how good it is. I have had the special edition dvd for some time now but you know when theres a film on tv that you already have, you are for some reason drawn to watch it! You could put it on at anytime but because its on tv you channel magically gets stuck and you take pleasure in that your film has been picked to be played to the nation that night! If you have not already seen this film, youre missing out. If you have im sure we will all share a smirk together in the knowledge of the goings on during the 106 minutes of pure genius. ...Every time i watch this film i'm looking for clues and mistakes which i just cannot find. Directed by Bryan Singer and a great casting of actors The Usual Suspects has to be one of the best films i've seen. The Plot: Police investigating an exploded boat on a San Pedro pier discover 27 bodies and $91 million worth of drug money. The only survivors are a severely burned and very scared Hungarian terrorist who fearfully babbles about having seen the face of the devil, a man by the name of Keyser Söze and Verbal Kint, a crippled con-man. The film then starts off with Kint telling the police what happened leading up to the explosion starting off when himself and four other small time crooks are arrested for a truck being hijacked, whilst together the crooks come up with a plan for a job that will most certainly set them up...
