...Having 5 children we needed some thing a bit bigger than the rover we had. We started to look around and visit web sites for a people carrier. We also looked at the ones that we passed on the road and saw the Kia Sedona. It looked very spacious, a nice smooth curvy body.
We went to our local Kia dealers and had a look at the different models of Sedona they had. We didn?t want a second hand one in case anything happened to it we would not of had a fall back plan. We looked at the Kia Sedona SX and decided that this was the one for our family and us.
We could fold all the back seats down and push them forward and have a large backspace if we needed it, also when the seats were upright and pushed forward there was quite a lot of space in the boot department, which we were surprised about.

...Having a family of 4 as well as 3 Boisterous Labradors I was looking for a car with Space and Style that would not need Refuelling twice a week. I looked at various people carriers before deciding on a Kia Sedona, Mainly because I had never heard of Kia. I am sure some of you must remember that freaky advert from about 20 years ago, or maybe it's just me who needs to get out a little more.
So What Is Kia Ora?
Kia Ora takes its strange name from the Maori word for welcome. It is an orange squash drink originally sold in a glass bottle but now packaged in a plastic bottle for cheapness and safety. It is manufactured and marketed by the Coca Cola group of companies.
What Is It Like?
The first thing that you notice when you unscrew the cap is the smell. Kia Ora has a very rich sweet smell of oranges, yes it really does smell of the real thing, but then again it is made from real oranges and according to the bottle...

Advantages: Cheap to buy, roomy, versatile. Disadvantages: Expensive parts and servicing, poor quality trim.
...Sedona is on its 3rd pump, injectors and pipes. (10000mls and 24000mls)and I know of one other locally.Dealer was not allowed to tell me how many others are involved.
Another thing to consider is the warranty. Mine is 3 years unlimited mileage and now it is 3 years 100000mls for new purchases. If you breakdown and the vehicle is off the road, you will be supplied with a loan car, but only for 2 days! It will not be a comparible vehicle, just a small hatchback and you have to pick up the insurance bill for it yourself(£9.00 + vat per day). I had to beg KIA Assist to let me have a vehicle for the duration of my hols which they did, but has cost me £130.00 insurance.
Overall, the car is good value for money, offering more space than its rivals but I think would benefit from being fitted with the 2.5 engine as fitted to the Sorento...

...My husband and I have two Kia's, technically mine is the Kia Carens and his is the Kia Rio (well on paper anyway), but it is me that drives the Kia Rio 1.3 - mine is in metallic blue.
We initially brought it as ex demo mobile when it was 5mths old with only 2000miles on the clock, me being the hard business woman (from watching all these car programmes on tv with my hubby), negotiated the price down from just over £6399, down to £5,300 and they fitted my cd player in it as well for nothing, plus taxed it for 6mths.
(you can hire me out if you like, only joking)
Anyway back to the car. I think she is beautiful, she has wonderful lines, I like to think of her as a girlie car as she is MINE.
Well less of the girlie version, here's a little technical stuff.

Review of Kia Rio 1.3
Advantages: Plenty of room for those weekends away Disadvantages: Your always wondering what will go wrong next
...miles it needed a new clutch (£450 if you haggle with the dealer, more if you don't). The clutch is not covered beyond 1K miles in the warranty. Now I've been driving for 35 years and had approx 10 cars, none of which has had clutch failure less than 50K to 60K miles and the dealer insists the wear was down to driving style. (The cheek of it)
With 2 services at around £250 each. Three exhaust systems (Covered by the warranty) thats one every 8 months I could'nt recommend Kia to my worst enemy. "Or could I" !!!
It does'nt end there, I now suspect the engine management system, on two occasions recently for no apparent reason the engine has accelerated, luckily the car was stationary at the time.
Oh and another thing don't apply the brakes too hard on tight corners, they make a terrible noise and judder like hell.
Overall it's a pity...

...After recently returning my friend's Mazda RX7, I was in need of a car to move around with, and I got a Kia Pride at next to nothing (US $100).
I figured what the heck.
The car is a four door hatchback and mine came with a 1300cc engine, no power steering, automatic and air conditioning.
Perfect for a fixer-upper quick-money-bringer.
In terms of looks, you can't do much worse (if at all). This car is square - even Scion doesn't have a car this square and boxy, and this car was probably the inspiration for Nissan's cube.
Inside, this car is a bad 80's flashback - grey interior, square, straight-edged dashboard, flimsy-looking gear shifter, everything is very basic.
But she had it where it counted - under the hood. At 1300cc fuel injected, this little car isn't much to move around with (by comparison, the Mazda RX7 also...
