Kia Ora - The Aura of Oranges!

Advantages: Smells Lovely, Refreshing
Disadvantages: Doesn't really taste of oranges

...Kia Ora Orange squash is one of those products that has been around for ever. As a kid my mother used to swear by it and there was always a bottle in the cupboard. I am sure some of you must remember that freaky advert from about 20 years ago, or maybe it's just me who needs to get out a little more. So What Is Kia Ora? Kia Ora takes its strange name from the Maori word for welcome. It is an orange squash drink originally sold in a glass bottle but now packaged in a plastic bottle for cheapness and safety. It is manufactured and marketed by the Coca Cola group of companies. What Is It Like? The first thing that you notice when you unscrew the cap is the smell. Kia Ora has a very rich sweet smell of oranges, yes it really does smell of the real thing, but then again it is made from real oranges and according to the bottle...

I love Kia Ora

Advantages: Cheap and yummy
Disadvantages: Doesn't last very long

...Well, what can I sa about this orange, mouth watering squash. Well first of all, for the first time I bought it myself, usually my mum will buy it, and store it in the cupboard, by the time it came to the next week, and she was doing her shopping list, it would be gone. So now because i work in a Children's nursery, and there are no shops around, i take a full bottle of Kia Ora to work with me, so I can hae as many drinks as I like. I bought Kia Ora the other day for just 89p, which i think is a bargain, for a 1 litre bottle. ****Nutrition information: per 100ml**** Dilute as recommended Energy- 48kj (11kcal) Carbohydrate- 3g ***The taste*** Opening the bottle, you can smell the oranges, and pouring in to your glass, it smells like your pouring rea oranges into your glass. Diluting the squash, the recommended...

Kia Ora No Added Sugar is a classic, cheap and cheerful drink

Advantages: Cheap, nice taste, attractive packaging
Disadvantages: Hard to find in the shops, too many additives (contains E numbers and aspartame)

...I have tried several dilute drinks including Robinson's and Tesco own brand, but I always buy Kia Ora whenever I see it (which is not very often, the last bottle I bought was from Farmfoods) because it is the best I have tasted. It is usually very cheap, £1 for a litre bottle is usual. Although it contains sweeteners, the drink doesn't taste 'fake' like some no-sugar drinks can do. The ingredients listed on the bottle are - "water, orange fruit from concentrate 2.5%, citric acid, acidity regulator E331, flavourings, sweeteners (aspartame, sodium saccharin), stabilisers E446, E445 & modified starch, preservatives E202, sodium metabisulphate and E221, ascorbic acid, and colours (beta-carotene & E160e)". As the drink is targeted at children, the manufacturers could do more to limit the amount of E numbers in the product (which are...

New Zealand welcome, Kia-ora

Advantages: Kiwi welcomes you to Aoteoroa - Land of the Long White Cloud
Disadvantages: Long way from anywhere, don't let this put you off

...Kia-ora. Welcome to my place...... Fished up by Maui, a Maori God, in never-never-land tales, New Zealand is a true paradise, in the South Pacific. The myth tells that he stepped all over bush-clad land; leaving crystal-clear lakes in his footsteps, glistening in cool-green native bush, amid massive, rugged mountains, some so virginal they stand today, unconquered by man. In the millions of years that this beautiful country has evolved it has seen primitive life, the Moriori, Maori and European settlement, less than 200 years ago - so it is a new country in civilised history. It's thought that the Maori arrived in their wakas (canoes) around 1000 years ago, from an area you won't find on any map but it is loosely called Hawaiki. Maori legend tells of Kupe, the first warrior, finding The Land of the Long White Cloud...

I love OS

Advantages: Cheap and smells like real oranges
Disadvantages: Doesn't really taste like oranges

...Well, that's what my friend used to say (OS=Orange squash btw), but personally I have never been a big fan and would rather any other flavor. I'm not a big fan of fizzy drinks and water's only any good when it's really cold, so all my life, I've lived on squash. When home, I tend to drink whatever brand/flavor's on offer at the time as my mother's a bit of a cheap skint, and that's where Kia Ora orange squash comes in. Isn't it strange how flavored things never taste anything like the original?! Well this is no different, despite being made with real fruit juuice (13%, which when diluted according to their measure of 1 part squash, 4 parts water, becomes becomes 2.6%, which isn't much!) However, it is a lot better than some of the even cheaper brands and does smell pretty good. Also, there's no nasty aftertaste with this squash, which...

Well done Kia

Advantages: loads of room
Disadvantages: none

...Having 5 children we needed some thing a bit bigger than the rover we had. We started to look around and visit web sites for a people carrier. We also looked at the ones that we passed on the road and saw the Kia Sedona. It looked very spacious, a nice smooth curvy body. We went to our local Kia dealers and had a look at the different models of Sedona they had. We didn?t want a second hand one in case anything happened to it we would not of had a fall back plan. We looked at the Kia Sedona SX and decided that this was the one for our family and us. We could fold all the back seats down and push them forward and have a large backspace if we needed it, also when the seats were upright and pushed forward there was quite a lot of space in the boot department, which we were surprised about. The engine is beautiful and runs really...

Review of Kia Sedona

The Kia Sedona is a nice car but...

Advantages: Good Fuel Economy, Interesting Looks
Disadvantages: Poor Turning Circle, Noisey Engine

...Having a family of 4 as well as 3 Boisterous Labradors I was looking for a car with Space and Style that would not need Refuelling twice a week. I looked at various people carriers before deciding on a Kia Sedona, Mainly because I had never heard of Kia. The Salesman was well informed and seemed to have a genuine passion when selling the finer points of the car, which is always encouraging. But did I want a Kia Sedona? My nearest Kia garage was, at that time, some 40 miles away. A long way to go if something relatively minor goes wrong. As part of my decision making process I apprehended a Gentleman in the railway station car park as he was getting into his Kia Sedona. He was generally pleased with his car and was even happier with the money he had saved compared to other, better known but more expensive People carriers. So I decided to...

The wonderfull Kia Picanto

Advantages: A wonderfull nippy, well designed and comfortable car with surprisingly a lot of room
Disadvantages: Small boot (but it has storage under it)

...In October last year I purchased a new Kia Picanto GS as I needed a small comfortable, reliable and fuel economic 5 door vehicle as I was beginning to do lots of miles for work. Before I bought a vehicle i knew i would find it difficult finding one i liked as i had a long wish list of things i wanted the car to have, and it had to be disability friendly as i have got arthritis, even though i'm only 25 years old. In order to buy the correct vehicle I test drove and loaned other vehicles, including; Citroen C1/C2/C3, Ford Ka, Chevrolet/Daewoo Matiz, Fiat Panda, Nissan Micra, Peugeot 106/1007/206, Smart ForFour, Toyota Aygo & VW Lupo/Fox/Golf and others. However not one of these fully meet my needs and i began to look at other makes/models, including the Kia Picanto. At first i was sceptable about the Kia brand, as i knew nothing...

Kia = Happy Journeys....

Advantages: Very well priced
Disadvantages: 'Unknown' name - for all you brand 'snobs'!

...We purchased our 2.9 CRDi Kia Sedona in May this year. Why, oh why did we not do it sooner. How many journeys did we endure with the tedious whining of "Are we nearly there yet?" " How much further?" "Mum, he/she/its hitting me...?" - if you have children you know the sentences... We've just come back from a camping holiday in the UK that involved a 3.5 hr journey, and I can not wait to go to France involving a 10 hr journey in 10 days time, yes, I can not wait to do such a long journey, with our children. I never thought I'd say that, but... With air conditioning, comfy seats, a high ride position, and in-car DVD system (with infa-red headphones, so we can have our own music at the front), journeys are a doddle. The car itself is a big beastie, and maybe its turning circle is on the large side... however, we live in...

Kia Sedona 2.9LX CRDi 2002 Model

Advantages: Cheap to buy, roomy, versatile.
Disadvantages: Expensive parts and servicing, poor quality trim.

...Sedona is on its 3rd pump, injectors and pipes. (10000mls and 24000mls)and I know of one other locally.Dealer was not allowed to tell me how many others are involved. Another thing to consider is the warranty. Mine is 3 years unlimited mileage and now it is 3 years 100000mls for new purchases. If you breakdown and the vehicle is off the road, you will be supplied with a loan car, but only for 2 days! It will not be a comparible vehicle, just a small hatchback and you have to pick up the insurance bill for it yourself(£9.00 + vat per day). I had to beg KIA Assist to let me have a vehicle for the duration of my hols which they did, but has cost me £130.00 insurance. Overall, the car is good value for money, offering more space than its rivals but I think would benefit from being fitted with the 2.5 engine as fitted to the Sorento...
