Review of Spy Kids (DVD)

Good for the kids

Advantages: novelty, well built both controls and wii can take a beating, great for the family,
Disadvantages: lacks graphics, lingers further away from the older gamer, not many good games

...I bought a wii a good 6 months ago and to start with like most people I found the novelty great espeically with friends but unfortunatley after a month or two the wii just began gathering dust and eventually I sold it at christmas to a friend for her kids. I would highly recommend the wii for kids and kids only. I m 19 and besides the free wii sports you get with the console theres not much going for the older gamer. Also it gets really boring if you do not have someone else to play it with. Overall the gameplay is good the wii remote works xtremely well as long as your are within 10ft of the console it will pick up ever motion you make. This can be trick to get use to to start with but with the free wii sports game you get with the console is a great way to get ajusted to the wii and before you know it will have become second nature...

There are also some true stories that make me angry. Reading about some horrible things that have happened to people and things that they have gone through. If anybody has read the book ‘A Child Called It’ by Dave Pelzer then you should read this book too. Honey, I Shrunk the Kids!!!

...This film has all the key ingredients of a great kids movie, mad cap inventor, kids seeking adventure and a new world full of fun and exciting new challenges. ...I decided to review this kids' sunscreen as I believe it is such an important issue, having had a mole removed because it started to change shape and size, due to sun exposure. I used to visit the local sun-tanning shop on a regular basis, many years ago. Suffice to say, I've 'seen the error of my ways' and are now looking for a good 'fake tan!!!' I've used other sunscreen products many times, and have found this particular brand to be the best so far. It's difficult to protect your kids from the sun, especially when on holiday - those sandy beaches........ * floats away imagining a sandy beach, blue sky, crystal clear water ............comes back to reality with a bump - remembering to try to put sun cream on the kids without getting sand in it *..... rubbing in sand-infested sunscreen is AWFUL! Disadvantages: Thom Yorke's vocals are tough to understand sometimes (and they aren't in the CD booklets either)

...Some sequels probably should never be made and unfortunately Karate Kid 2 is probably one of those films. Karate Kid 1 is one of my favourite 80?s movies, classic scenes (wax on, wax off ? the end fight scene) but in my opinion the magic cannot be captured again and consequently the film falls flat because of that and becomes something that we?ve seen once and don?t really need to see again in a remake. However, according to an article I read, like the original film, the sequel was also a success and earned even more at the box-office than its predecessor and considered by many fans to be the best in the series.
