The story of my brutal childhood by Kim woodburn

Advantages: Interesting
Disadvantages: nothing

...Kim Woodburn is best known for the being the bossy person on "How clean is your house? As you can guess by the title of the book it is about her Brutal childhood. Kim was bought up by her violent mother as her father was often away as he was in the Royal Marines. Kim was the second child, another daughter. Her parents made her feel that she had disappointed them from the start as she was not a boy (obviously they must have wanted a son). Her mother then started having a relationship with her fathers former best friend, they ended up having seven children together. Kim left home at the age of sixteen and went to live with her father, their relationship as father and daughter was not very good. By 1966 she was living in the house of a lady whose daughter was at drama school (this daughter played the role of Suzie Birchall in...

Be Careful What You Wish For...

Advantages: light and entertaining supernatural fantasy, excellent villains, brazen hero looking for action
Disadvantages: Rachel's flightiness makes it difficult to stay focused sometimes

...hot to pin Trent Kalamack, city councilman and successful businessman, for any of the shady dealings they suspect he's been running in Cincinnati. Rachel thinks she may have found the lead that will finally bring Trent down. Is Trent an illegal Brimstone drug trade the biggest baddest skeleton in his closet? Can Rachel find proof, or has she bitten off more than she can chew? It just may be easier for her to sweet talk herself back into the good graces of the I.S. rather than attempt bringing the ruthless, powerful, and mysterious Kalamack to justice. Welcome to the Hollows... Better watch your back! My Thoughts: This first in the Kim Harrison series is a good urban fantasy involving all manner of supernatural critters. In Dead Witch Walking, we are introduced to all the major players, the stage is set and we the readers need...

Review of Dead Witch Walking - Kim Harrison

Second Episode of the Sexy Witch's Escapades

Advantages: Incredibly easy to read, and very fast paced
Disadvantages: Stroyline feels a little linear

...This book is the second in the Rachel Morgan series that is written by Kim Harrison. As my previous review stated, I was introduced to this series by my husband, whom had the audacity to purchase a book for me, in the smug knowledge that he knew what I liked. And, much to my disgust he was spot on! And what's more, it hooked me enough to want to continue the series!! Rachel Morgan is a witch in a world where a genetic disease in tomatoes killed off a lot of the human race. The Inderlanders, the name for any of those people that are "other" such as werewolves, witches and vampires, saw this as their opportunity to make their real lives known to human kind, as their numbers now equalised those of humans, meaning that they had less to fear from them. This makes for a very interesting back drop, with certain foibles that make...

Review of The Good, The Bad and The Undead - Kim Harrison

Get it before Kim and Aggie get you!

Advantages: good for pet hairs, ball mechanism
Disadvantages: ugly, loud, no auto-recoil

...My mother lives on a farm, and she has a stinking black labrador and two cats in and out of the house all day. So it follows that she needs a very good hoover, in order for the house to not need a visit from Kim and Aggie! I don't mean to be mean about the dog, but she does reek quite badly, mainly due to the fact that she likes to roll in stagnant pondwater and snuffle about in cow poo. She has a great life, but drops particles of dirt everywhere she goes. Especially when she comes in (just when you've cleaned up) and shakes malodourous grit and hairs all over the carpets. Its disgusting, and many a feeble vacuum cleaner has conked out (suffocated?) trying to clean up after her. My mum and her partner are quite hairy too (I like to compare them to Roald Dahl's "The Twits") - so you can imagine the state of the floors. But...

Dead Witch Walking-A Rachel Morgan novel

Advantages: Great story and character. Fluid and enthralling writting style.
Disadvantages: None, if you have any sort of imagination.

...Dead Witch Walking is the first book in Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series. The story is about a white witch (Rachel Morgan) who is also a runner (bounty-hunter) for the Inderland Security Service, a supernatural policing force set up when a deadly virus wipes out a large number of the world's human population forcing the hidden communities of supernatural beings to make themselves known. Tracking down law-breaking supernaturals in modern-day Cincinnati is not just her job it's her life. But Rachel is tired of a recent list of crap assignments, such as picking up tax-evading trolls. Feeling under appreciated she wants to get out and start her own agency. The only problem is no one ever quits the I.S. and lives to tell about it. Especially when she takes the I.S.'s best runner with her, a living vampire named Ivy Tamwood. Rachel...

***Lil' Kim Has Done it Again!!!***

Advantages: A Gr8 Hip Hop Album
Disadvantages: none

...The Queen Bee of Female Hip Hop brings us her newest album in a collections of greats. The Bella Mafia. I stumbled over this album (and artist) quite by accident when browsing the urban section in HMV. I am always no the look out for some really good female hip hop and I certainly got what I wanted when I found this album. Lil' Kim History --------------------- She was born on July 11th, 1975, and raised in Brooklyn as Kimberly Denise Jones . In 1996 she released her first album called Hardcore and worked with such people as Puff Daddy (she was already connected to Biggie Smalls, The Notorious B.I.G, who was a mentor to her in her early years). On her next album which was released in the year 2000 and called Notorious KIM, she started to produce herself and founded her own record company Queen Bee Records. This...

The Red And The Black - Jerry Harrison

Advantages: the funky pop of Talking Heads combined with some killer tunes
Disadvantages: why isn't this album better known?

...If you love mid period Talking Heads then you'll love this 1981 solo album from Heads keyboard player Jerry Harrison. Keeping the multilayered polyrhythms of Remain In Light and adding an outright funky sheen Jerry created the best Talking Heads album that the band never made. Assisted by keyboard wizard Bernie Worrell, guitarist Adrian Belew and singer Nona Hendryx (all of whom had graced the expanded touring line up of the Heads during 1980) Jerry's style of music is pure funky pop. The album was originally going to be broadly instrumental with Hendryx and Dolette Macdonald adding wordless singing. But Jerry was persuaded by the others that he could sing so the tunes became songs. Jerry's lyrics are curious, often offering gentle advice about life the universe and everything in oddly simplistic verses. But the tunes are mighty...

Kim Possible: Global Gemini Review

Advantages: Purposeful Plot, Slick Presentation, Sound effects are intense
Disadvantages: Gameplay needs more tweaking and multiplayer is lacking.

...Hi and firstly I thankyou for viewing my new review! I hope you are well and can along with me decide whether this game is even worthwhile or just a complete waste of time!!! Being the fifth Kim Possible on a Nintendo system in the last seven years I was skeptical about if this game could push the series any further. Having watched every episode of the Kim Possible cartoon system and having known of previous Kim Possible game I was definately looking forward to this game on my way home. Now well for a retail price of £10-15 in most shops as of this review I thought it could be a potential bargain but let me tell you young guys/girls why it is an average buy. With plenty to do in this game including quite a far amount of levels to cover I found it did not lack in that major respect but with satisfactory graphics fans will...

No....its not gonna be Home & Away! Its KATH & KIM!!! An hidden gem of a program, for British eyes, yet in its home Australlia iT has a massive fan base!!
