...I'd wanted to go to Prague for YEARS and finally got my wish in December 2008 when my boyfriend and I went over for three nights to get into the Christmas spirit with mulled wine and gingerbread. I'd thoroughly recommend the city for a short break, but this review is about our hotel. We booked through lastminute.com, and it came down to a choice between the King Charles and a very modern plate-glass-and-red-Perspex type edifice that was only built in 2007. We decided to go with the King Charles as I thought it looked a little bit grand and Gothic and atmospheric and was more in-keeping with the 'feel' of Prague. I'm not one for all mod-cons. It was listed a four-star hotel but it was on offer so we paid only about £25 each per night. When we received our confirmation email, the hotel reception also offered to come and collect us...

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Advantages: Very pretty, very loyal, dont need as much exercise as other breeds
Disadvantages: Highly strung, expensive

At the moment he has two: Charlie, a Chocolate Labrador and Roger, an Old English Sheepdog, before them there was Jasper, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Magic, Border Collie and Cassie a German Shepherd. If you take all the pets we had growing up throughout our childhood we could easily have run a farm! I loved Jasper. He became one of my favourite pets. I know, I know, I shouldn't have favourites but he was gorgeous! The Charles Bridge

Loyal loving companions

...I write a review on this breed of dog with confidence, as we have had 4 King Charles Spaniels in our family since i was a baby, and each one has not failed to please. Puppy behaviour Out of the 4 King Charles we have owned within the family, i can remember 3 being puppies. As puppies, they are very playful, and love a good nibble on pretty much anything they can find - however, they are easily checked and soon learn whats acceptable and whats not. I have found with all the 3 puppies, that after about 30mins play, they get very sleepy and usually lay down for over an hour and sleep, then wake up to creat more puppy mischief!! As puppies, we have found all King Charles to be very loving, especially when they are tired, they pretty much beg to be on your knee and all of ours have snuggled in and slept like a baby! A fantastic family dog

...I had the honour of owning a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. He was the loveliest dog ever and a great representative of the breed. Appearance: They are a small breed, commonly known as toy dogs. Average height is around 30cm and they fit comfortably onto one's lap! They have silky glossy fur although we used to clip Stanley to keep him cleaner and happier as he used to smell-especially when he went out in the rain! It is important to groom them as that fur coat gets matted and dirtied very easily and attracts small twigs! There are four main colours: Blenheim-this is chestnut and white and Stanley's colour, Tricolour-black and white with tan markings, Black and Tan-black with tan markings and Ruby-a chestnut colour all over. ...King of Queens is an American sitcom set in New York. The King in question is Doug Heffernan and the Queens they relate to is actually the suburb of New York he lives in with his wife Carrie. I think this title is a really clever play on words and sets the scene for quite a funny sitcom in my opinion. Doug and Carrie are the main couple in this sitcom and it?s really them that the whole show revolves around. They have a nice relationship but bicker like most couples and they really play on each others stereotypes to get the laughs out of the audience. The dog with the lot!

...We bought our king charles cavalier as a puppy just over a year ago. In that time we have grown extremely attached to her and cannot believe what a well behaved dog she is. She is a tri colour and her name is lady, we have found that having a king charles cavalier attracts alot of attention when out on walks and lady loves nothing more than people fussing over her! She very quickly learned to wlak alongside us without the lead and waits for her lead to be attached when told to. She is very friendly towards other dogs and is by no means frightened by other breeds. We have trained her with very little trouble at all, she is house trained and has learned various commands such as sit, lie, paw, stay and so on. Lady even knows my partners and my name, so if we tell her to go and find one of us, she knows who is who! She is a loyal dog who...
