King Kong!!
Review of Kong Dog Toy by
daylehall
Advantages: Very hardy, can be used as treat and a toy!
Disadvantages: A little expensive
...In 2004 I got my first puppy, Marley. With him being a Border collie, I was slightly worried that he may get bored and begin to chew the house! My Mum and Dad advised for me get a Kong. Having never heard of this before, I decided to do some research. I found out that a Kong is basically a dog toy made of hard rubber that you can fill with different treats; your dog then spends hours trying to dig the treats out from inside the Kong.
THE KONG
The Kong is meant to be nearly indestructible so is perfect for dogs that have a tendency to chew. Kongs come in all different shapes and sizes, you can get puppy kongs (the white ones), extra strong kongs, for larger breeds (these are black) and also kongs that float (these are various colours and are attached to a rope so you can easily retrieve them if your dog decides he/she doesn't want...

Quite a challenge
Review of Donkey Kong (N64) by
bjlangley
Advantages: Great fun to play. Challenging
Disadvantages: Flying through rings with Diddy is too hard!
...I received this game as a Christmas present from my wife, and we both think that it's awesome! Since Xmas many evenings have been spent guiding this strange collection of monkeys past various baddies, and solving puzzles. After 1 month we've both comitted around 25 hours to it, and there's still quite a bit of the game left to play!
The story to the game is nothing special. King K Rool has kidnapped Donkey Kong's buddies, and stolen his gold bananas. So you take on the part of Donkey Kong and try to find your bananas. Once you've freed the other Kongs, you can also play the game as each of them. There's Diddy Kong, Tiny Kong, Lanky Kong and Strong Kong. Using their different abilities you'll be able to reach different areas to collect the gold bananas.
The game is played over 8 levels, with each level hiding 25 gold bananas, 500...

What a big ape.....................
Review of King Kong DVD by
moonlightmist
Advantages: Brill film, great acting....
Disadvantages: none.....
...to indicate that Armstrong will not try to seduce Wray.
On a ship headed for an uncharted island (chosen
by Armstrong based upon second-hand information,
quite the gamble) Wray meets Bruce Cabot, a crew
member who believes that women don't belong on
ships. When pressed, he can only state that "they
cause trouble".
Upon arrival, the crew stumbles onto a fantastic
native ritual. Somehow, ship captain Frank
Reicher is able to speak their language, despite
the tribe's isolation.
Since I've made my point about the clumsiness of
the story, I'll fast forward through the
synopsis. The natives worship King Kong, a giant
ape that abducts Wray and gives her a tour of the
island, stopping to fight various giant reptiles.
Kong is later captured by Armstrong and shipped
to New York. Kong escapes, re-kidnaps Wray, and
goes on a rampage...

Welcome to the Jungle…
Review of King Kong, Peter Jackson by
billytheradponi
Advantages: Fast, fun, powerful, epic, truly spectacular.
Disadvantages: Way too long.
...run out of steam; they have no purpose, except to take up time. In one of the scenes, Carl and his crew are attacked by various super-sized bugs and leeches. This section appears to be an afterthought included to draw out the length of the film but which adds nothing to the central plot.
My favourite aspect of this film is the ending, both happy and sad and considering the fact that I hate ridiculously happy endings (don't you?) this really strikes the nail on the head perfectly. I will leave the ending to your imagination. King Kong is an exceptional film; an invigorating, thrilling and monstrous rollercoaster ride! I would very much recommend seeing the film, but remember to take a tent and some food!...

Modern day kong
Review of King Kong, Peter Jackson by
The12thman278
Advantages: Modern day remake
Disadvantages: Slight character change from the original
.... With John Garfield leveling off a Tommy gun and Knox realizing he's a novel of the lifetime playing out before him.
One could criticize Peter Jackson's KING KONG for a million things that it isn't, but that would be to entirely miss the point of what it is. This is a full exploration of what PETER JACKSON saw and wanted to explore in the original film - and to bring out. The mad insane crazed bits of action. The train wreck of brontosauri, it's unlikely, horrible and sad. Looking at that broken tonnage of flesh, I couldn't help but think about the various predators on this island that would feast for weeks upon this humbled herd of broken sauropods… the long necked creatures belching out their tortured agony, writhing about trying to walk upon their broken limbs - we don't linger, but my mind did.
The V-rex battle is simply heaven. As a boy...

King Kong Beat Music to Words in Review!!!
Review of King Kong - Various Artists by
berlioz
Advantages: Really impressive action adventure score, one of the best of 2005
Disadvantages: Some action scenes a little unremarkable
...INTRODUCTION
After tackling with the giant undertaking of The Lord of the Rings trilogy and garnering so much critical and popular (as well as Oscar) success, director Peter Jackson had things pretty sweetly in his pocket, allowing him to basically do what ever he wanted. So with the studios more than willing to let Jackson have free reign over what to do next, he went in a completely different direction from the literary fantasy genre to a cinematic icon: King Kong. King Kong is of course one of the most famous movies ever made, involving a big ape being transported to New York from an obscure island as a spectacular new exibition only to escape, wreack havoc on the city, kidnap the pretty female lead, and climb to the top of the Empire State Building only to be fall down with a big thump.
Made in 1933, the film was a huge success...

A beast of a game
Review of King Kong (PS2) by
killiefan
Advantages: Looks and sounds great, Play as either Jack or Kong
Disadvantages: Not long enough
...Peter Jackson's King Kong The Official Game of the Movie is as the title tells you a game which is based on the recently released King Kong movie. The story is that Carl Denham who is a struggling movie producer decides to go to a mysterious island to try and come up with some footage for one last effort to get a hit film for himself and save his career. He takes an actress called Ann, a film crew and a character called Jack, who you control in large parts of the game, with him.
After landing on the island you begin exploring and end up in a lot of tight spots with the various creatures that you encounter along the way. It is clear that in his bid to win back any reputation that he had in the film industry before, Carl Denham will put his team through any risks involved.
*****GAMEPLAY*****
For most of the game you control...

How Ace is King Kong...
Review of Monkey Kong - A by
ia_young
Advantages: quality original tracks
Disadvantages: none
...‘A’ vs Monkey Kong is the second studio album from this London five-piece band released in 1999 through London Record. Their sound is a kind of punk rock with samples mixed into the music. This makes for a very original sound and it should make ‘A’ extremely big. The band consists of the following members (three of them brothers, guess who!):
Jason Perry – Vocals
Giles Perry – Keyboards & backing vocals
Adam Perry – Drums/Yin’s
Mark Chapman - Guitars
Daniel P. Carter - Bass, backing vocals/shouting!
King Kong inspired the album name and cover, King Kong’s original name was meant to be Monkey Kong. The album cover is a picture of a Gibbon in red against a black background and is quite striking. Through the inlay there are various tributes to the King Kong films. There are quite...

King Kong!
Review of Kong Dog Toy by
Clara
Advantages: Stimulates and entertains dogs
Disadvantages: All the same colour!
...and you fancy an hour's peace to read a book etc!
There are many many variations on the original kong including flying saucer, bone and dumbell treat dispenser shapes, some of which are also good for the dog's teeth, especially if you put doggy toothpaste in the grooves. There are puppy, glow in the dark, floating and tennis ball type Kong toys which don't have the same composition and therefore durability but due to the name you can expect them to be well-made and appropriate dog toys. You can also buy kong 'goo' to squirt inside the toy.
Kongs are available in various sizes, the bigger the dog, the bigger the Kong is the general principle.
Kongs are available from many good pet shops including pets at home, jolleyes, and your local high st emporium. They can be purchase online from ebay and the myriad of online pet shops, just do...

King Kong the Official Game of the Movie
Review of King Kong (Xbox 360) by
Bullwick
Advantages: Nice graphics, Solid gameplay, Unique..
Disadvantages: Short, Not much replay value.
...King Kong the Official Game of the Movie….. Phew said it without passing out, is based on, well you guessed it King Kong the Movie. It won't take you long to get through King Kong, but its sometimes thrilling, often tense, and always entertaining adventure and is well worth checking out.
Gameplay:
King Kong has a unique interface, there are no health bars, no writing what so ever. This helps the game to emerge the player into the experience and it does it very well. When you are playing as man you have two types of weapons, guns or spears. When you are walking around you will only have a limited amount of ammunition for your guns, so you need to start using spears, these are found in various places around the island and are very easy to use, you basically pick one up and chuck it at whatever is after you, it is very rewarding when you...
