kings hotel

Advantages: cheap but luxurious
Disadvantages: None that I can think of!!!!

...One of the best hotels Ive stayed in and Ive stayed in many. We went in december out of season and got a double room for about 30 pounds. Bargain. I was happily surprised when I openend the door and found a gorgeous room with a four poster bed. Vey elegant. The room was lovely and warm and the bathroom was very modern if a bit on the small side but who cares the shower was great. There was loads of useful brochures about munich. There was a wonderful breakfast buffet in the morning. well it was more like a three course meal, there was everything meat, fish, cheese as well as all the other breakfast usuals. The staff were proffesional and genuinely friendly and not at all arrogant. well reccomended!!!!!!...

The King Charles Hotel

Advantages: Not a bad price, decent rooms.
Disadvantages: A bit basic!

...I've stayed in this hotel a few times, and to be honest, it's not a bad hotel. The facilities are exactly what you'd expect for the price, it's a bit basic but if you are just looking for a place to stay for a couple of nights, it's not bad. Right, I'll start with where it is. The address is Brompton Road, Gillingham, Kent and it is situated right next to the Black Lion Leisure Centre. It's about a 15 minute walk from Gillingham Train Station, or there is Chatham Train Station which is about a 30 minute walk away. There are obviously regular buses which stop near the hotel or taxi's if you don't fancy braving the buses. There's a lot of attractions nearby if you are planning to sight-see. There's Gillingham High Street 5 minutes from the hotel, which is basic and small, but it's not bad for a couple of hours shopping...

Disadvantages: You need a reason to go to Chipping Campden

As a result of this, some of the more quirky features of the place have changed - don't be surprised to find no sherry or jelly beans and apparently most of the nick-nacks have gone ***************************************************** Staying at the Kings is like staying with friends - but only if you are lucky enough to have friends with 12 spare bedrooms, a bar and restaurant and impeccable taste in furnishings and decoration. Advantages: Clean, spaceous, pool, gym, sauna, restaurant, friendly staff.
Disadvantages: Antiquated equipment in gym, low chlorine levels in pools.

...I arrived at this hotel on the 7th December 2005 for a weeks long 'winter sun' holiday. From Paphos airport, the hotel was very simple to find,despite the various building projects going on in the surrounding area (will not affect quality of stay). I was very encouraged to see numerous awards from 'Thomson Holidays' on the wall, for various accolades such as 'Best Winter Sun Apartments' and 'Best Summer Sun Apartments' for countless years, with the last one being awarded for the Winter of 2004. Upon arrival, the hotel staff were very friendly and were on hand with a much welcomed glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Our bags were taken from us and placed in our rooms. More Prince Charles than King Charles...

Advantages: Grand, atmospheric bedrooms and posh bathrooms
Disadvantages: Disappointing breakfast, lack of facilities, distance from town centre.

...I'd wanted to go to Prague for YEARS and finally got my wish in December 2008 when my boyfriend and I went over for three nights to get into the Christmas spirit with mulled wine and gingerbread. I'd thoroughly recommend the city for a short break, but this review is about our hotel. We booked through lastminute.com, and it came down to a choice between the King Charles and a very modern plate-glass-and-red-Perspex type edifice that was only built in 2007. We decided to go with the King Charles as I thought it looked a little bit grand and Gothic and atmospheric and was more in-keeping with the 'feel' of Prague. I'm not one for all mod-cons. It was listed a four-star hotel but it was on offer so we paid only about £25 each per night. When we received our confirmation email, the hotel reception also offered to come and collect us...

A solid Brighton Hotel

Advantages: Great views if you have a seafront room
Disadvantages: Bathroom a little lacking

...This was a good hotel to stay at if in Brighton but make sure you get a good deal because I don't think it's worth it at full price. It is not as glam as The Grand nor Metropole a few hundred yards up the street but does boast equally wonderful sea views. We were in room 201 and got a great deal staying the Sunday night only. The room had beautiful large bay windows overlooking the sea and remains of the destroyed pier. It was glorious to wake up to. The room itself was of a decent size although the bed was a little on the narrow side for the two of us. A few things to note on the downside: our room did have a big stain on the carpet and the bathrooms leave a little to be desired. hotel sol principe is fit for a king.

Advantages: everything about the place is an advantage.
Disadvantages: the non smoking policy (for some)

...With the exception of Tenerife I usually tend to holiday places only once, preferring to try new places rather than return to ones I have already visited. I have been to torremolinos twice now though and a large part of the reasoning behind that is this wonderful hotel (Sol Principe). This hotel is situated alongside the beach of Playa mar approximately 2km outside the city of torremolinos. It is served by Malaga airport which is a little over 4 miles away and takes only a 15 minute transfer by coach to reach. On approach to this hotel the first thing that caught my eye was the size of the grounds it stood in but it soon became apparent why. This hotel is actually part of a complex which includes as well as the hotel itself the Apartments Sol Principito, a fairly large private car park, a sports area, gardens, a supermarket...

...the King Jason, then the Trudos mountains might do it for you. The heat of the hot sun and the sand of the mountains is enough to attract even the least active person on their holidays. There is also a small shop adjacent to the hotel itself which offers everything a basic market shop would sell....
