Kingston USB 2GB Flash Drive

...Hi today I will be reviewing a Kingston DataTravler 2GB USB Flash Drive. I bought this a few months ago after losing my other flash drive. It cost me 9.97 from PC World but I believe you can get them cheaper in other places. Speed For the data that I transfer to it i.e. pictures and some small visual basic programs it transfers them extremely quick compared to some cheap flash drives I have used in the past. Problems So far I have had no major problems other than in windows vista it is not capable of running ReadyBoost which a free flash drive I had a while ago could. Size The overall size of the flash drive is quiet good the USB connector slides in and out with a rather flimsy press and slide switch. Feel The Kingston feels rather cheap and plastic considering the price I paid for it anyway. Over all this is not a bad...

Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drive - 2 GB

Advantages: fast, lifetime-warranty
Disadvantages: nothing

...I gave my 2GB Kingston flash drive a few months ago and I think it's really great. I can use it for Microsoft Windows Vista ReadyBoost to speed up my PC. It's not too expensive and it has got a life-time warranty. It's really fast and every operating system contents a driver to use it. If you want to buy a somewhat cheap flash drive, and need a good quality buy that. Most of new PCs can boot from USB nowadays. Thanks to the USB 2.0 technology I can boot up my favourite live Linux distribution from it and I can save it back when I finished the work. You can use it for system rescue too but if you don't need these special "features" just use it to store and move data. :)...

2GB in my pocket

...For work we all got 512MB pen drives, however part of my work can be quite memory intensive therefore I was supplied with a 2GB pen drive. This particular one is made by Kingston and is called Data Traveler. So far 2GB has proved more than ample in terms of its capacity, however I am sure it will only be a matter of time before the applications become more memory intensive and making it necessary for a larger capacity. Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: security is minimal

...This is a very easy to use USB flash drive. The security functions that are seen on many of the latest USB pens aren't seen here. The device is quite handy and easy to use... would've been much nice had the cap been replaced by the sliding port like in most new versions since the cap is likely to be lost.. Due to the fact that the USB pen drive is very handy it can be lost.. due to this an identification system and a lock would have been very good and the presense of a tag might have also helped a great deal. Data access is pretty fast but data copying may depend on the system capabilities of the machine under use. Overall it's a good product which could be better had the designers given enough for it....

The 8GB Kingston Data Buddy!

Advantages: Large space, nice appearance, affordability, fast performance, pretty design...

2GB USB Stick GREAT item

Disadvantages: You may find more capacity for just a little more money

...This portbale USB drive has got to be one of the most realiable ones i have used so far. I dont think it costs too much and unless you're really into media and music, you may find that filling up 2GB of memory may not be easy with just word files. I'de happily recoomend this product to anyone as it is absolutelly suberb. It hasnt let me down yet. However if you're working with media such as music, videos, webpages, high quality images etc. then i suggest you a get a hold of a larger USB pen. I know from experience that all media workers will appreciate a few extra gigabytes of memory. You must remember however that the USB isnt bullet prrof so dont keep it in your back pocket and go ride on a rollercoaster. You may regret doing that..
