Super cheap high memory flash memory stick

Advantages: Cheap!! High memory
Disadvantages: None, Nothing wrong with it!

...As with many people out there, the USB flash drive device is a very important part of my life. Any documents that i produce on the PC are always backed up on the memory stick just in case the PC crashes and everything is lost. Not only would this take a lot of time to sort out, but for many peopleit would also cost them money. Before going out and buying this, I had one of the small sony flash drives, that i have already given a review of. When i unfortunately lost that one i had to go and buy another, i needed one that had a large memory capacity, and one that wasnt going to cost me and arm and a leg. The first port of call for me is alwayd amazon, where i stumbled across this, the Kingston Data Traveller, 8GB memory stick. Not only was it big enough for what i needed, it was also a steal at £16. Kingston USB 2GB Flash Drive

Advantages: Speed of small transfers
Disadvantages: No ReadyBoost, feels cheap

...Hi today I will be reviewing a Kingston DataTravler 2GB USB Flash Drive. I bought this a few months ago after losing my other flash drive. It cost me 9.97 from PC World but I believe you can get them cheaper in other places. Speed For the data that I transfer to it i.e. pictures and some small visual basic programs it transfers them extremely quick compared to some cheap flash drives I have used in the past. Problems So far I have had no major problems other than in windows vista it is not capable of running ReadyBoost which a free flash drive I had a while ago could. Size The overall size of the flash drive is quiet good the USB connector slides in and out with a rather flimsy press and slide switch. Corsair Flash Voyager USB flash drive - 8 GB : Cheap and Reliable

Advantages: price, speed and reliability
Disadvantages: A little large but ideal to put on your car keys etc

...I use USB flash drives frequently and regularly have to replace them, I carry them with my car keys which especially with laptops they bend. And I can finally say that I have found one that can take anything!! This gadget is encased in rubber, is water resistant and comes with a 10 year manufactures guarantee, which shows you how robust they are. It is not the smallest of pens yet I find those are the one which are most likely to fail, however it is not that large either. So if you value your data rather than squeezing it in your wallet, I would highly recommend this product. I bought one for £18 over a year ago and whilst in my lap top my dog sat beside me and knocked it which resulted in a loose connection, and the manufacture replaced it for me, new for old. It's not too expensive and it has got a life-time warranty. It's really fast and every operating system contents a driver to use it. If you want to buy a somewhat cheap flash drive, and need a good quality buy that. Most of new PCs can boot from USB nowadays. Thanks to the USB 2.0 technology I can boot up my favourite live Linux distribution from it and I can save it back when I finished the work. I mainly bought it to store backups of important letters and spread sheets, however thought I would see how it worked first with it being so cheap. Plugged it in to my USB port and sure enough XP recognised it staight away ( you can download drivers for 98 etc as they are not supplied). For my first time using one of these Flash Memory Drives it was very easy, it appeared as an extra hard drive under "my computer" in XP, opened it up and decided to copy and paste a few pictures to take around to a mates PC - just to see how it went. The jargon on back of packet says you can store 96 pictures from a 3MPcamera - I'm already up to 100 and it will take more - so it obviously depends how your camera compresses them.
