Do it with Flash!
Review of Flash Bleach by
Biffa
Advantages: Works really well
Disadvantages: May be a skin irritant
...This is excellent stuff! We recently moved house, and the kitchen was mank to say the least, but this stuff has meant I haven't had to go and buy a new kitchen.
I used it neat to clean the cooker, and diluted to clean the floor, ceiling, cupboards inside and out and the worktops. I originally thought I'd ruined the worktops when I put this on them - only to discover that the snail trail that it left behind was the colour the work surface was meant to be! Same for the floor - it really shifts all the grease and dirt quickly.
If you use a lot of it, you need to wear gloves really because I found that it irritated my skin after my hands had been dipped in soloution for three days, but it's worth getting for all those jobs round the kitchen.
I'd be lost without it....

Another Magnet nightmare
Review of Magnet by
sarab
Advantages: The kitchen units themselves
Disadvantages: They don't seem capable of fitting kitchens and break promises on when fitting will be completed
...Until the point came to fit the kitchen, I genuinely thought I'd be writing a rave review of Magnet. The kitchens themselves are great quality for the price, the deals they offer very competitive and the design service excellent. But then, oh dear, I made the mistake of thinking that Magnet would be good at fitting kitchens. To close the deal on the sale, the promised that the fit would take 4-5 days and that they would work over weekends. 5 weeks later, the kitchen is still not finished. It was completely out of action for a whole week and barely servicable for another two. The attitude of the staff in the showroom was totally unhelpful. They never returned my calls and did nothing to help sort out the issues (which included cabinets not fitting because they had not measured up accurately, cabinets being shoddily fitted...

Don't be so hard on Kitchens Direct!
Review of Kitchens Direct by
REDREDJEN
Advantages: looked after my needs from start to finish, fantastic.
Disadvantages: none so far...
...I read all the reviews on this page after i'd booked the salesperson from Kitchens direct to come round. I had other quotes and had managed to deal with the salesmen from them so I decided to go ahead, after all, I could always say no!
The lady came round at 2pm on a Monday (I had to stay in from work that day anyway waiting for a man to fix the boiler - the people on the phone were very helpful in arranging their quote the same day)
The whole designing and choosing everything for my kitchen took only 2 hours all together, and didn't feel like a sales pitch at all. I expect it would have taken less time but I confess I was the on chatting away about the other companies!
There were plenty of appliances to choose from but I decided to go for the Tecnik range as there were considerable savings and were good enough for my needs...

DON'T TOUCH SPACE KITCHENS
Review of Space Kitchens by
dontbuykitchensfromspace
Advantages: NONE
Disadvantages: Where do I start....
...apart thinking I was getting a new kitchen delivered!
I’m going to write to watchdog today and I’m also going to go to the local papers. For a company who apparently love to work on the “word of mouth” basis, they’ve gone the wrong way about getting any good words from me.
It would be good to know your outcome and I wish I’d gone to this website before inviting these crooks into my home.
I will certainly be giving these guys very bad publicity in the future....

B and Q kitchens
Review of B & Q (Shop) by
razra
Advantages: Cheap, friendly, reliable
Disadvantages: cost me a fortune in teabags!
..., at the time I was told and everything was there!
11 Dec the kitchen fitters arrived promptly at 830 am and set to work, they worked from 830 till 430 everyday were always polite and incredibly friendly. Possibly due to the fact that I am a tea addict so everytime I made myself a cuppa I made one for them too.
They did all the electrics for me and even put up some new lights that I had bought without charging me any extra! They also suggested ways to improve the kitchen such as using the left over worktops (which Id paid for but would have to be wasted as theyd been cut so couldnt go back) as a window sill, initially I thought what on earth are you talking about but they duly did it and showed me and I have to say it looks fantastic!
As they were building the kitchen they questioned some of the "extras" the designer had put in, so much so that I...

A God Send
Review of Creda Easy Load Condensor by
Lorry21
Advantages: Very easy to use.
Disadvantages: Can be a bit noisey.
...Before I purchased my Creda Easy load Condensor I use to use my washer drier. All clothes that I use to put in my washer drier use to cook. So I thought I'd better get a tumble drier seperate. I looked round all the electrical shops and came across the Creda Condensor. Its cost efficent, which is a good idea with the British weather. You can do two loads and the third load is free on you electricity thats how cost affective it is. You can do big loads it as an easy to clean filter and it looks great in your kitchen too. It also works out the trying time of you clothes as it as a sensor which tells the machine that they are dry. I think its good piece of equipment to have in your kitchen....

MOTHER'S LITTLE HELPER!
Review of KitchenAid KSM150 BNK Artisan by
Louizalass
Advantages: Sturdy, comes with good range of starter-attachments
Disadvantages: Expensive but will last a very, very long time
...a snug fit, even after prolonged use and wear. KitchenAid attachments require no extra power unit to operate them; the power unit is built in.’
Comes complete with instructions and recipes book.
I’ve used mine to make cakes and for general mixing purposes such as eggs, cream and mashed potatoes. As there are now only two of us in the house, the mixer doesn’t get as much use as it would for a larger family. I’m just sorry I didn’t have it when the children lived at home. I am one of those people who follow instructions to the letter so I can honestly say the results I’ve achieved have been perfect.
I have nothing to compare my KitchenAid with because I have never owned an electric mixer before. My most modern piece of mixing equipment was a hand-held Molyneux electric whisk, which I’d had for 25 years so this machine is a delight to use...

would i use them again? space kitchens, not sure.
Review of Space Kitchens by
bandman
Advantages: fast, good quality, nice design
Disadvantages: hard sell, cost, cleanlines of fitters
...it would have been pre-constructed and tested in the factory to make sure if it would fit. somehow i don't believe this.
ok so the fitters come in on time and start by ripping out the wreck of my old kitchen. efficent, but there was 5 of them, so first day a fair amount was done, but they left at 2;30, some sort of hob fitting crisis, which is fair enough, but i'd taken my time off to be their and i wanted it done as fast as possible.
ok at the end of it all it took 3 days to do a 8 unit kitchen, 3 work tops and a larder unit.
biggest drawback was the mess they left, they just didn't clean a dam thing up. but the overal result was pleasing.
I call them back for 4 small things, although a panel on the oven housing did fall off, as this is sumer glued on which i wasn't best pleased about. I can see it fall off again.
6 months down the line I...

Self assembly made hard
Review of Ikea (Shop) by
fluffyk
Advantages: Good value, range of products, quirky furniture
Disadvantages: waiting times, their easy to build kitchens and general building instructions
...I have shopped at Ikea many times and decided I would buy my new kitchen units from there. I was assured both in the Ikea catalogue and the specialist Ikea Kitchen brochure that these units are easy ti install and anyone could do it. On this promise, I went to my local Ikea (80 miles away), chose my kitchen, chatted it over with a Kitchen specialist, who was very frienly, very helpful and most of all knew something about kitchens. He even arranged to have it delivered to us. Normally delivery is only available if you buy a certain amount of units. I was 2 short but he worked it out so I'd get free delivery. Saving me the hassle of hiring a van to go and pick it up. An instruction video and booklet should be provided when you purchase your kitchen. However, mine wasn't. One quick phonecall and it was sent to me though...
