FREE DVDs

Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review

...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them. ∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊ Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

Boots Kitty Cat Stacker - a colourful fun toy

Advantages: soft, washable, easy to pick up
Disadvantages: cats head falls off too easily

...When I had my baby I was given, amongst other things, a £20 Boots gift voucher frommy office. So when baby is a few weeks old, we take a trip into town to spend it. Browsing among the toys, I caught sight of the Boots Kiity Cat Stacker, costing £15. I thought that was quite a lot of money, but seeing as it wasnt actually costing me anything and it looked quite cute, I decided to buy it. Boots Kitty Cat Stacker The toy consists of a cone shaped base, 3 rings and a cats head, all made out of a lovely soft material. The cone shaped base is a green colour, with a patttern of numbers and letters around the edge and some dangly thin grey strands of material with knots at the end. Next comes a blue ring, with green triangles sticking out all over the edge of it. The next ring is patterned in pink and orange and has the cats...

Kittie "Paperdoll"

Advantages: Contains the full video "Charlotte"
Disadvantages: None

..., crunching guitars and heavy beats. 3) Brackish This by far is my favorite song on this CD single. I find it quite rare for an all girl rock band to have such a powerful, raw vocal style. They are uncompromising to the extreme, and it's really refreshing. Other girl bands seem to fall into a trap after releasing a couple of singles, where their style changes and they become commercial, radio friendly dolly birds. Not Kittie. 4) Suck This is a great track where the drums & bass along with the guitar go out , grab you by your soul , tells you that you are in for a great time music wise. 5) Do You Think This song is really great to dance to either in the Mosh Pit or if you prefer to Slam Dance to. This track should be deemed as a great violent rocking track. 6) Raven The final track on this album just screams out at you. It's pure...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player...

Is This What Your Kitty Wants To Do?

Advantages: Teaches children that getting there own way isn't always good
Disadvantages: none

...***The Author*** I must admit I had never heard of Cressida Cowell before finding this book so I had to do a little bit of research. I found out that she not only writes books but illustrates them too and that she is actually the author of quite a few popular books, in particular How to Train Your Dragon, which was the first book in the series that features Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third. These popular books are aimed more at the 7 - 11 age group but she has also written quite a few books for younger readers of Kitty Kilroy is one. ***The Story*** Kitty Kilroy is a little girl who wants to do whatever she wants. Unfortunately, her mother spoils her fun all the time and won't let her paint on the walls, eat lots of sweets or make a huge mess. Does that sound familiar? One day Kitty decides that her mother should go...

HERE KITTY KITTY!

Advantages: The book that the musical 'Cats' was based upon.
Disadvantages: None.

...entirely different characters, but from the same litter; Much like children, cats need names to suit the type of personality and look that they possess. To call the amazing, beautiful, mysterious, magical, secretive and naughty housecat 'Kitty', is demeaning the many wonderful and spiritual qualities that this very 'special' creature possesses and in the first poem by T.S.Eliot he poses the question of what actually to name your furry friend in the first place. 'Practical Cats' is written in poetry form of rhythm and rhyme, which appeals greatly to young brains. It is also nonsensical poetry much like Lewis Carroll or Edward Lear. Its sense of fun intrigues and excites young readers. He uses nonsense words like 'Jellicles' made up from his vivid imagination and he was clearly a lover and great understander of the Feline Domesticus...

Kitty

Advantages: Disney at its finest
Disadvantages: none

...closets while they are sleeping and scares them. Then they capture their screams in a canister and bring it back to Monsters, Inc. I know it sounds like a horrible idea, scaring innocent children, but believe me, the monsters are more scared of the children than the children are of the monsters. Let me explain... The monsters believe if they touch a child, or anything belonging to a child that they will become contaminated and destroyed. And that is how Sully meets Boo. Boo is a little girl who Sully is supposed to scare. But when he enters her room, she is not scared. She thinks Sully is a big kitty cat. She grabs onto the back of him without him knowing it and enters his world when he returns to Monsters, Inc. At first, Sully is scared to death of her, but eventually he realizes that she is not dangerous. The plot gets...

Recipe for Laughter, Tears and Friendship!

Advantages: Lots of giggles and laughs; animals that are real characters.
Disadvantages: A subtle lack of respect for authority sometimes, and lack of purpose.

...Take one cute, lonely, ten-year old ("preacher's kid") blonde motherless little girl named India Opal Buloni. Add a small town called Naomi, Florida ~ a town with a Baptist Church that meets in a convenience Store ("Nothing wrong with making church more convenient"). Stir in a friendly, homeless dog named by Opal "Winn-Dixie" (after the supermarket in which she found him running riot) and Gertrude's Pet Shop run by a bearded, guitar-toting, drifter Otis in the owner's absence. Simmer for an hour and forty-six minutes, adding lonely and hurting individuals one by one, and some animals that are real characters. Twist and pull together like Taffy until you have a wholesome solution ~ sweet with a taste of melancholy, like the Littmus Lozenges (once made in the now closed candy factory ~ with only a few samples remaining to be...

Miaaaaaaow, have a go at raising a kitten

Advantages: Cute, easy to play
Disadvantages: Repetitive, can get a bit boring after a while

...Introduction ---------------- I borrowed this game from a friend who says that she loves it. It looks a little bit like the old Catz and Dogz games that were around a few years ago. Similarily, there is also a Puppy Luv game but as I prefer cats I decided to play this game! In Kitty Luv, you are able to adopt your very own kitten and look after it. It's needs are similar to a real cat, it gets hungry, thirsty, tired and craves attention! I'm not able to have a pet cat due to my dad being allergic to them but I've always wanted one so the chance to look after a virtual one is the next best thing I suppose. I have Windows Vista and installation was fine, infact it was faster than most games. Playing the Game ------------------------ When you first access the game, you are taken to the Creat A Pet screen. Here you can...

First let's grab some chow before I eat your liver

Advantages: Nice family film
Disadvantages: Not brilliant

...story, and it?s a pity American films all have to show England as being all fruit loop royals and dour butlers. They even had the usual ?let?s make the Queen?s guard laugh? routine that all comedy films/shows set in London have to do. It wasn?t a brilliant film, but it wasn?t a bad film either, the normal f@rting and belching gags made the kids laugh out loud as wind jokes normally do, and there were some other moments that made them laugh too. I wouldn?t recommend that anyone rushed out to buy or rent it, but if you come across it, it?s not the worst film ever. DVD Extras * The Nine Lives of Garfield * Drawing with Jim Davis: How To Draw Garfield, Odie and Pooky * Pen and Ink: Creating a Garfield Comic Strip * Exclusive Garfield Comic Strip * Working With Hot Dogs and Cool Kitties * Come and Get it Music Video * Garfield Maze...
