..."KLM to the rescue!!" Okay, so? why have I called this review KLM to the rescue?! In order to provide you with a review of KLM, I firstly need to tell you about my huge mistake in regards to my scheduled flight from Birmingham International to Amsterdam with BMI Baby a couple of Friday afternoons back. KLM and Northwest Airlines

Advantages: Good value for money, comfortable
Disadvantages: Everything is routed though Amsterdam

...I’ve read a few different reviews on KLM which suggest that their level of service appears to vary quite a lot and this ties in with my own experience. I travel on business quite a lot and recently flew with KLM from Edinburgh to Detroit via Amsterdam. I then flew up to Toronto and returned from there to Edinburgh, again via Amsterdam. On this trip, I experienced both a KLM regional airline (KLM UK), flew in both business and economy sections and also used KLM’s code share partner, Northwest Airlines, for the first time. I guess I sampled a fairly wide range of the KLM product on offer so I thought it might be worth writing an op on it. KLM UK

Advantages: Friendly, Clean, Friendly modern Aircraft
Disadvantages: tight timing and connections

...I recently flew KLM/UK from Leeds Bradford to Munich via Amsterdam. On arrival at Leeds Bradford check in I was lokked after very well and given my seat selection right through to the Munich flight, the food on board was acceptable on the first leg between Leeds and Amsterdam although we were half an hour late leaving, we arrived in Amsterdam 15 mins late...I had 30 mins to find my connecting flight..panic !!!! Schipol is huge and goes on for miles I raced to get to my departure gate only to find the aircraft hadn't started to load.. When I eventually got on the Aircraft we had to wait on board for an hour in high heat whilst we waited for the catering truck to deliver our missing food....( we could have almost been in Munich by the time we got it !!) however it arrived and the flight was very late leaving we arrived late however...

...~* I LoveFlying KLM BABY! *~ Okay so I have always been a British Airways girl and I love flying with them , Our national carrier and all but I had heard good things of KLM so on my recent trip to Amsterdam in April 2009 , I decided to fly with the dutch carrier and I couldn't really afford to connect in London this trip and I wasn't disapointed at all , they are my NEW FAVOURITE AIRLINE sorry BA but when you can dispatch aircraft on time you will be back on top!! * Who are they * Royal Dutch airlines which are now part of the KLM - Air France group and their main base is KLM so for UK flights if you want to go to some other destionation rather than Amsterdam you will have to connect at Schipol. ~* Destination *~ They go all over the world including Europe , America and futher a feild , KLM.com will have more information about that...

KLM - Worth it's Royalty

Advantages: Quick, Easy, Efficient
Disadvantages: Very popular - BOOK EARLY

...I have used KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for several years now and have not yet been disappointed. Granted, I use them for practical reasons because they are cheap and because the journey time is shorter than flying the same routes with British Airways, but that's beside the point. From start to finish, KLM really does try to make things as simple and easy as possible. Booking KLM are a very popular airline now, even more so now that they are flying into more regional airports, and operating services such as Cityhopper and KLMUK. Therefore, it is always best to book as early as possible. Book via their website or via some of the other online cheap travel engines (opodo, expedia etc) as this will allow you greater flexibility and personal preferences such as seating, meals etc. Also, I'd recommend you take out their flying blue...

KLM Customer Service- they don't give damn

Advantages: the plane arrived safely
Disadvantages: non existent staf in KL, surly ground crew in Schipol

...The original flight KL4106 was 50 mins late leaving Perth. This meant that we arrived in KL at 2310, 5 mins before our KLM flight to Amsterdam was due to leave. There were no KLM reps at gate to give instructions as to what we had to do so we had to go to the transfer desk and join the queue. We were served at 2318, the initial question was did the KLM rep at the gate not give you any instructions. We NEVER saw a KLM rep during the whole time we were on the ground in KL. The transfer desk staff was pretty hopeless, no one had any idea what was happening and they spent the next 40 mins on the phone trying to get hold of someone from KLM. It wasn't until 40 mins after we landed when another of the 9 passengers got very irate that any help was given/offered. The MAS staff member who eventually dealt with us was very helpful and did...

KLM - flights to africa

...As this is an effective chronicle of my three weeks in Tanzania and Zanzibar I guess I had better start with the flight, KLM, Royal Dutch Airlines. KLM is I believe the only European airline to offer daily flights to this part of Africa and it is running a very good service at an affordable price - as long as you book far enough in advance. -Cost The process of buying the tickets was incredibly easy. KLM Business Class

Advantages: Relatively Cheap, friendly, professional

...I've just returned from Kuala Lumpur, and wanted to highlight my experiences with KLM. Check In: Flew From Stansted, UK, to Schipol, The Netherlands with KLM UK. Alas, they have no Business class, but the flight was comfortable, and because of my business class ticket, I got to sit in seat 1a! Business class lounge, schipol: Very good, although have been in better. The food was limited to a few drinks and biscuits, and nothing like the Malaysian or Virgin Lounges in London. Comfotable and clean though. The flight: Fantastic. The food was very good, and had a good choice. Delicious as well. The evening meal was tasty, and didn't feel like airline food. Advantages: A very efficient airline, with good in-flight service
Disadvantages: In-flight entertainment could be upgraded

...I have flown with KLM frequently over the past ten years or so, and have in all that time yet to be truly dissatisfied with its performance. Their frequent flyer program with NorthWest is top-class, easy to use and involves a minimum of hassle. My family and I have taken advantage of numerous free tickets acquired through the scheme. Holiday trips to New York, Manila, London, and Zurich (all from Amsterdam) might otherwise not have been possible. KLM's in-flight service and entertainment is very respectable. KLM: reviewing the Economy Class

Advantages: Worldclass service and standards
Disadvantages: Slow service onboard. Small legroom in Eco Class

...I have been travelling with this airline in the past 5 years withing Europe and once to Asia. It is a really good service and probably one of the bests in Europe. In my experience the flights have been always on time. KLM has really good deals on its website if you buy the ticket online. On long flights, each seat has its own TV screen, where you can watch films. About the drinks and food I would say that they are good but the service is slow. The seats comfortable when you sit, but they are quite basic for sleeping. If the passenger in front of you decides to sleep about 50% of your legroom is gone.
