kodak dc 3200
Advantages: very simple operation
Disadvantages: you need to spend extra money
...You can find digital cameras that cost less, but they're almost certainly lacking at least one of the key features that the dc3200 has.
For example this digital camera has a traditional optical veiwfinder, which is great if you want to save batteries of like to compose photos the old fashioned way. It features an LCD screen, for preveiwing and reveiwing photos to make sure that you get the exact shot that you want, 1 magapixel of image resoloution which gives you enough detail to produce sharp prints, A video-out mode, so that you can veiw your pictures on a tv, a flash and expendable memory via a compactflash slot. It is amazing to think that in 1900 kodak brought out the simple brownie camera that cost only £1.
In fairness to other digital cameras this one does have some features which i dislike. I do not like the fact that...

Kodak DC 280 Superb
Advantages: Easy to use, superb quality pictures
Disadvantages: spare set of charged batteries need to be carried.
...I purchased a Kodak DC 280 camera in June and have found it to be easy to use and capable of producing excellent pictures. Anyone would be able to use it very quickly.
The only criticisms have been stated as 'heavy on batteries' and 'heavy to hold' whilst this is true, the latter is, I think, an advantage; it is much easier to hold the camera still which is essential when taking indoor pictures without flash. It also seems more substantial and well made that feather-light cameras.
It is heavy on batteries if you use the viewing window and forget to turn it off. But I feel the batteries do last a fair time. They charge quite quickly but it would be an advantage to carry a spare set.
My camera came with 8 MB card (which only holds 12 pictures at best quality) but it is possible to purchase cards at double this capacity...

Kodak DC 3200 - a worthwhile buy
Advantages: Easy to use. Reliable. Good quality. Durable.
Disadvantages: Fiddly On-OFF switch. Needs more (inexpensive) memory to be useful.
...I have had my DC3200 for about four years now and am very pleased with it. I won't go into details about its specification and so on because these have been well covered in previous reviews.
When I bought it the cost was just over £100 and it was about the cheapest you could get then. I was a bit concerned about the resolution because 1.0 million pixels sounds low by modern standards, but I need not have worried.
I keep it on the best of the three settings, and with a mdestly priced memory card (about £17) find that it takes well over 40 pictures before being full. In fact I have never reached the limit.
I am the editor of a club magazine which is printed in full colour to a very high quality, and the pictures I get are excellent - I would not need a higher resolution (despite what a previous reviewer has said).
I use...

Kodak DC215
Advantages: good quality/robust
Disadvantages: bulky / heavy
...At the time I got this camera it was quite expensive, since the development of other products from kodak though, it seems that this camera can be purchased much cheaper now, I found sites that advertised it as low as $249. It is no longer in production but can be found elsewhere, on places such as eBay. You may find it useful to have a CompactFlash card reader to use with this camera, as the connection is a serial port, not a USB which means you'll find it much quicker to upload pictures using the CompactFlash card reader.
It's very easy to use, so good to buy if it will be your first camera, the picture is good especially within a distance of 12feet but I have found that it can take long distance pictures with reasonable quality too. It has an LCD display on top displaying useful information on battery power left, how many pictures...

Kodak of Functions
Advantages: Excellent point and shoot camera
Disadvantages: Now obsolete. Poor power switch design
...The Kodak DC3400 in its time was a great Digital Camera, however like all electronics, it has been out performed by other cameras.
However, this camera is still used by myself. It has good picture quality, although the automatic focus is sometimes slightly blurred on long distant shots.
The camera, made in Japan, is medium sized and it is not the lightest of camera?s around. But it has been well used by myself for nearly two years now and it barely has a scratch on it. It is a very sturdy camera. It is mainly silver in colour with grey rubber areas on the front of the camera to help with grip.
The back of the camera has an LCD (1.5? x 1?) which allows you to display the photos already captured on the camera. However this is best used indoors as bright light outdoors makes it difficult to see the photo?s on the display. Also...

Kodak DC 240 a Year on.
Advantages: Ease of use. Quality of pictures
Disadvantages: Battery drain
...I got a Kodak 240 for Christmas 1999. I have used it extensivly and found the camera to be quite exiting really.
There is a LCD display on the back where you can change the options for taking pictures. Your main changes will be for the resolution.
I brought a 8MB and 10MB cards for the camera to store the pictures. The main reason I brought two of this size was for holidays abroad where I would get no chance of downloading them, and then using the cards again.
Before taking pictures it would help to know what you want to do with them. If you are creating a web page, or want to send them by email, turn the resloution down and the size (both physical and memory wise) will decrease allowing the pictures to be send far quicker on the WWW.
If however you want to print them, go to a higher reslolution and the pictures will be...

Kodak DC280
Advantages: Easy to use and producing quality pictures.
Disadvantages: A little heavy
...My purchase of a Kodak DC280 was more by accident than design. I purchased online from Simply Computers. I have not had cause to regret my 'buy'. It is a little on the heavy side but this imparts a feeling of solid workmanship. In use it has been marvellous, producing excellent pictures for my website as well as snaps for the family album. The controls are simplicity itself and make for rapid adjustments as and when needed. I have not used the parallel interface and therefore cannot say whether this is good or not but the USB connection is first rate - I can access the files on the camera just as quickly as I can access files off my hard disk. I would have no qualms recomending this camera. In it's price range it will take some beating....

Say cheeeeese for the DC3800
Advantages: Made for everyday use - just point and shoot
Disadvantages: Battery life
...I purchased this camera at from Curry’s about eight months ago, and have not been disappointed with the results. The DC3800 is an ultra-compact, lightweight point and shoot camera from Kodak. It weighs in at 165g without batteries and with dimensions of 95 x 33 x 61mm, it will fit in the palm of your hand or a shirt pocket with ease.
The DC3800 produces 2.1 megapixel images in 24 bit colour, which are clear and well defined with good colour balance. There are also lower resolution settings, which are more suitable for emailing.
The camera can be bought for under £300, a price which includes several features such as a 2x digital zoom, autofocus, red-eye reduction and macro functions. There is a USB Compact Flash card reader for simple transferring of pictures from the 8Mb memory card to a PC, and a video cable to connect...

The old Kodak brick still has what it takes
Advantages: Durable, reliable, lovable!
Disadvantages: Becoming more of a paperweight and doorstop...
...Fashionists and techno-geeks will cringe at this review. After all, who would want a digital camera that is now out of date, cumbersome, dull, and looks like it could be better used as a doorstop?
I have had my Kodak DC3200 for 2 years upon writing this review. During the rise and now establishment of the large digital photography era, I have not yet winced and still can not be parted with it. I get laughed at, taunted, and my leg has come out of my socket so many times from being pulled... but hey, those laughs look good on the pictures! Still I won't let that phase my love for my Kodak digital camera, even though I was offered a tenner for it by a boat owner who needed a new anchour...
Kodak are quite rightly the top of the game in the camera world, especially renowned for film and film developing so taking up the challenge...
