Kodak Easyshare DX4330 - my experiences.

Advantages: Easy to use, Lightweight.
Disadvantages: Extra memory can be expensive

...At the end of May this year my husband took me to our local branch of Comet to buy a new digital camera as mine had given up the ghost and we were taking our two children to Chessington the next day. After much deliberation I finally decided upon a Kodak DX4330 as I knew the brand name and didn't want to make another expensive mistake. Having got it home I was impressed by how easy the software was to load into the computer and the fact that the help manual is in ebook form which means you have access to it when you need it. I was equally impressed that, having registered the product online and opted for the information emails to be sent to me I was given a voucher for twelve free prints. Kodak Easyshare 4330

Advantages: Very easy to use, good quality pictures
Disadvantages: Battery consuming.

.... If you want to do serious editing however, the software is quite limited and you are better off with Photoshop. For power you are provided with a CR-V3 lithium battery but I recommend that you buy some rechargeable NiMH batteries and a charger. This is because the DX 4330 uses a lot of battery power and if you don't buy rechargeables it is going to cost you a lot of money. As well as still photos the camera can also captures continuous video and audio. The quality of the video is not brilliant but is perfect for making short movies that you intend to email or upload to a website. The audio on the videos is also quite good and the microphone seems to pickup sound fairly well. All in all this a very good camera for the everyday user and is good value for money. Kwality Kodak!

Advantages: Easy to use, sutible for most uses, fairly cheap.
Disadvantages: Not so good in the dark, Not too many features.

Easy snaps, EasyShare

Advantages: Easy to use, even for a technophobe!
Disadvantages: Probably best for the 'everyday' photographer

...We were given this camera around two years ago when our daughter was born, so that we could e-mail pictures to distant family and friends. For that purpose, we couldn't have wished for a better camera. It is very easy to use with a simple menu for zooming in, deleting and reviewing your pictures. The main control is a cog button on the top of the camera which allows you to switch between video, photographs, movement, close-ups and more. The camera itself is very easy to use and reviews pictures without fuss. Unfortunately, it has now been discontinued by Kodak but should be relatively easy to buy second-hand. You little beaut

Advantages: Great
Disadvantages: None

...4330 offered 3.1 megapixels and a neat 10X zooming facility, so I was quickly sold on the nice shiny little thing. It cost about £228 which felt to be pretty good value, so I didn't hesitate for long. (BTW, I know this cat's for the DX4230, but I got this higher class version - sorry) The blurb said that a docking bay wasn't included and I asked the sales guy if you needed one. He said no and that it cost £54, so I left that one. Well, let me tell you that you may not need the camera dock to exchange your pix with your PC, because it works just fine via a USB connection, but if you want to use rechargeable batteries rather than the throwaway sort, which don't last TOO long, you need the docker, so make sure you factor in the cost. Remember also that the internal memory with the DX4330 is only 16Mb, which allows only 16 pictures at best...

...The Kodak Easy Share Dx4330 was the first digital camera I bought. It was 3years ago and was £200 at the time. It still remains my favourite to this day. As affordable digital cameras were relatively scarce at the time I was worried that I would be buying essentially rubbish, however the camera exceeded my expectations in every way. The appearance is pleasing to the eye and the camera has a solid feel to it with no delicate extrusions to get knocked off or annoying spiky bits! It is slightly on the heavy side, and while not anything as heavy as a SLR camera it comes quite close. however this is only a problem with someone who was incredibly weak and doesn't have an impact on the cameras performance so is negligible. However a "larger" problem is the size (excuse the pun) the dimensions may make the camera easier to hold and work...

Kodak Easyshare Dock - DO NOT BUY

Advantages: Not many; Fast print, Good quality photos
Disadvantages: LOTS; unable to recognise photos, paper won't feed, ink and paper expensive, software isn't intuitive.

...Having owned this product for just over a year I can safely say it is pretty much useless! There are several things wrong with this product which makes it just a complete waste of money. First of all the Dock is designed so you can download your pictures from your digital camera to your computer and also print off your favourites, bypassing a computer, onto glossy photo paper. The dock only takes Kodak digital cameras models: CX 6000/7000, DX 6000/7000 and LS600/700. The dock is meant to automatically recognise when the camera is connected and allow you to download your photos. However what normally happens is that the camera has to be attached and reattached and turned on and off until it works. Kodak easyshare lives up to its name again

Advantages: So easy to use, quick, convenient, idiot proof for perfect results
Disadvantages: A bit pricy per print. 6 x 4 maximum print size.

...I have had one of these for a year, and I love it. It has a USB port to connect to my PC, and it is small enough to sit next to my normal printer on my desk. It takes up the same amount of space as my telephone. But the beauty of it is that you do not need the computer to print out pictures form the camera if you have a Kodak compatible camera as there is the dock that sits on top. If you have the right rechargeable battery the dock will act as battery charger too. The kodak paper stores away neatly underneath although the tray is a bit fiddly to clip in place for printing, it is a neat storage solution. The ink for it is integral so when you buy a pack of 50 sheets of paper you get a cartridge which prints exactly 50 sheets of paper. Run out of paper, change the cartridge.
