Kodak Easyshare DX4330 - my experiences.

Advantages: Easy to use, Lightweight.
Disadvantages: Extra memory can be expensive

After much deliberation I finally decided upon a Kodak DX4330 as I knew the brand name and didn't want to make another expensive mistake. Having got it home I was impressed by how easy the software was to load into the computer and the fact that the help manual is in ebook form which means you have access to it when you need it. I was equally impressed that, having registered the product online and opted for the information emails to be sent to me I was given a voucher for twelve free prints. ...For a while now, Ive seen and done too many things to keep buying and developing desposable cameras for! Last week it was time for a change...It was upgrade day. After popping down to a couple of camera shops, I decided that for the price, quality, and easy of use - the Kodak EasyShare DX6440 was the one for me. With 4mp, the quality of this camera is astonishing. You can take pictures pretty much instantaneously, rather than having to wait that pain-in-the-backside 2 seconds, while the camera processes what it is seeing. The 4X zoom gives those far away shots, without losing much of the detail unlike some other cameras I have tried. The camera also has a superb flash, which is a heck of a lot more powerful than it looks! The camera is really easy to use, and comes with lots of settings to give you the best quality shots...

Advantages: Very easy to use, good quality pictures
Disadvantages: Battery consuming.

.... If you want to do serious editing however, the software is quite limited and you are better off with Photoshop. For power you are provided with a CR-V3 lithium battery but I recommend that you buy some rechargeable NiMH batteries and a charger. This is because the DX 4330 uses a lot of battery power and if you don't buy rechargeables it is going to cost you a lot of money. As well as still photos the camera can also captures continuous video and audio. The quality of the video is not brilliant but is perfect for making short movies that you intend to email or upload to a website. The audio on the videos is also quite good and the microphone seems to pickup sound fairly well. All in all this a very good camera for the everyday user and is good value for money. Disadvantages: Not the smallest camera, but still compact enough to look good and use easily

...When looking for a digital camera to take on honeymoon last September, I was overwhelmed with a multitude of choices. The problem was, none of the cameras I looked at seemed to boast a complete package. If it was small, good looking and cheap, it had only 4 megapixels. If it had the megapixels I wanted, it was expensive and ugly. Excuse the pun, but you get the picture. So, on went the search, countless reviews were read, and then I stumbled upon this gem of a camera. I wanted at least 5 megapixels to enable larger prints, and so the 6.1 megapixels on the DX7630 was ideal. The price wasn't too high for the amount of features at under £200, and in my opinion, it looks pretty neat too. So, I took the plunge and bought one. Clever Kodak

Advantages: Easy To Use Menu System, Excellent Photo Quality, Easy To Upload Pictures

Advantages: takes pretty good photos, makes good prints, diverse program modes and functions to choose from, pretty easy to use overall
Disadvantages: not as sharp as many top-end cameras, and some modes can be a little confusing or difficult to use

..., instead of tossing them away, and it's always necessary to have spares, of course! Bob, as with most digital cameras, comes with some handy stuff in his little box. You'll have the CD you need for the software - in this case, Kodak EasyShare, which is a program shared by many other Kodak cameras. You can do some editing and of course uploading with this program, though I use it mainly just for uploading and maintenance of the folders and so on. It's a little basic for editing, so if you have something snazzier, you're better off using that. Bob also needs a USB cable, which is supplied, and which usually works, though not always. Anyone with a USB port can probably attest to this. There's also a little Tv-Out cable, if you're of a mind to view photos on the TV - though I'm not sure how well they'd come up even at the highest resolution. I...

Advantages: Great pictures, picture editing, internal memory, video capture.

..., changing it to black and white etc. It also has kodak perfect touch technology, which clears up dark shadows, making your pictures look brighter. You can also share the pictures with your PC for extra editing. It also has some extra features, such as the ability to shoot video. It also has Internal memory plus, meaning that if you run out of memory card space, the camera has 16 MB of internal memory that you can store pictures on. This saved my ass when I was playing cameraman last week. All in all a great camera and well worth the money....

Owners opinion of the Kodak DX3600 digital camera

Advantages: Easy of use, reliability, strength, and picture transfer.
Disadvantages: Battery life can be a bit short and may suffer from residual charge memory which degrades battery life and necessitates complete discharge before the batteries can be fully re-charged

...I got a Kodak DX3600 camera November 2002 at our local Apollo outlet for just over 200 quid (which included the DX/DC docking station) because it fitted my requirements and was the best value for money I?d seen at the time. However, these prices may now be few and far between due to Kodak selling the Docking Stations separately for 59 quid on top of the usual asking price of 245 quid. Better deals are available and I?ve seen some on Amazon, which I would recommend, and Ebay if that?s your scene which seems to be around the 130 mark. If you just want to look then most of the main highstreet stores stock it so go get a feel. Running and designing websites (the primary reason for the purchase) has more than a little trouble associated with it, least of which being copyright. It can be an explosive minefield for images and themes...
