...For many years, Kodak have been the fore-runners of the Digital-Camera world, with attempts to make photography comprehendible and cheap for first time users, and filled with enough features to keep even the most advanced photographer entertained. The LS755 epitomises this, being a beautiful display of both Kodak's workmanship and the advancements in digital photographic technology at a very affordable price. At the time of purchase (summer 2005), this camera cost a mere 150 pounds which is staggering for a 5.1 megapixel with a 2.5 inch screen, even a year later. The exterior of the camera is superb. The front resembles a 'normal' camera, with added impressiveness from the metal protective coating, while the back/screen resembles something space-aged that I have yet to see another camera of this type better. ...With an upcoming holiday, regular eBay use and the desire to take the odd photo, I was in need of a new digital camera. My previous FujiFilm camera had died and I wanted something to replace it. I'm not a camera enthusiast and although I love my gadgets I'm not really what you'd call 'in to photography'. Another key feature of the camera is the 3x optical zoom lens. Many low-end digital cameras feature either no zoom at all or just digital zoom – this is where the pixels are expanded to zoom into a certain part of the picture, loosing quality. There is also a tiny moving lens in the view finder too, enabling you to see the (almost) exact picture that you are going to take. ...This is my first digital camera. I bought it for quick snapshots. I've had this camera for only one week, but I didn't even have to read the manual to figure out how to use it! After looking at dozens of cameras that have more options, I decided on this one because it is fairly intuitive to use for a non-expert. The battery life seems to be excellent--I took about 50 photos one day & only used about 1/3 of the battery. If you get the printer dock with it, you don't even have to remove the batteries from the camera to recharge--they recharge as you transfer the pictures to your computer. Also, the printer dock and Kodak software are fairly easy to use. The software is VERY basic, but it took care of red-eye more easily than some of the sophisticated editing programs. ...Having owned this product for just over a year I can safely say it is pretty much useless! There are several things wrong with this product which makes it just a complete waste of money. First of all the Dock is designed so you can download your pictures from your digital camera to your computer and also print off your favourites, bypassing a computer, onto glossy photo paper. The dock only takes Kodak digital cameras models: CX 6000/7000, DX 6000/7000 and LS600/700. The dock is meant to automatically recognise when the camera is connected and allow you to download your photos. However what normally happens is that the camera has to be attached and reattached and turned on and off until it works. Then when it is recognised it will begin to download to your PC, to the poorly designed software - the Kodak Easyshare center... Read review

Being a fan of cameras, I’ve seen a fair share of unprocessing poorly designed digital cameras- many of which would be best concealed inside a brown paper bag when people as me “so what do you think of this camera?” This camera (Kodak EasyShare LS420) on the other hand, in indubitably one of the flashiest looking specimens I’ve seen to date, a view clearly shared by several passers by who took the time to stoop and investigate as I strolled along the streets of central London. Flaunting a chic, shimmering aluminium-clad body and measuring roughly the size of a two Snickers bars stuck back to back, the LS420 signals a major departure from the bloated, steely grey styling of its EasyShare antecedents. ...When it comes to choosing a new inkjet printer, you really are spoilt for choice. Add in the need for an all-in-one offering, for scanning as well, and things can become a little more complicated. Kodak plan to change this by introducing the EasyShare 5300 to the market. This is a really smart looking inkjet, in a nice white and silver finish that would not look out of place next to an iMac (though it will of course work with any Mac or PC). It offers the ability to scan, print from a selection of memory cards, and of course is a normal inkjet printer. It sports a 3-inch colour LCD screen, borderless printing, and claims of upto 32ppm in black and white, or 30ppm in full colour, which is pretty impressive. ...that straight-down OK action right without your thumb veering off to the M4 takes some practice. So, do I really like this little Kodak number with its non-glare coating and reflective display technology? Indoors, it's a bit deficient in contrast; outdoors... it's a bit deficient in contrast. This can be excused with its quality, but it is certainly not miles ahead of its rivals, possibly a hundred feet, but no more than that. OK, the LS443 is pretty snazzy. You acquire relatively good 4-megapixel images at a fee that's evenly good and with a strong build quality that will leave you pleasantly taken aback. Kodak's also very keen to press on its EasyShare system, variable polygon optics (or something similar to that), on-camera Share button and indoor/outdoor display for all they're worth, but none of this really pushes my button.
