Canon DCC-90 soft case... A FRAUD!

Advantages: Nice looking, lightweight, has belt loop too
Disadvantages: Canon S5 doesn't fit at all, no extra pockets and too expensive

... Canon DCC-90 Soft Case - my review Canon DCC-90 is the official soft case for the Canon camera models S2, S3 and S5. There isn't really too much to say about this soft case but I'll do my best. I own a Canon digital camera S5 IS and since the size of this camera is quite weird (not as big as Reflex cameras but neither small enough to fit in common camera cases) I found very hard to find a proper case for it. What stopped me from buying the original case by Canon was it's price. As a matter of fact the cost is £14.55 at the lowest (on amazon.co.uk) while generally can be purchased around £17-25 everywhere else. Also I could hardly find any picture of it online and they are impossible to find in shops so I didn't really fancied spending such an amount of money for something I couldn't even see properly. Excellent Case for Compatible Cameras

Advantages: Designed specially for the range, durable and has every carrying option
Disadvantages: Not for non-compatible cameras

...I bought a Canon PowerShot A560 Camera and, as one was not supplied, I needed a case to protect it when I am carrying it around. I checked the Canon website and found a chart showing that the DCC-80 soft case was the one recommended for my camera. I found the DCC-80 case listed on Amazon.com for £10.99. However, on the Amazon site, it was listed as being compatible with the A710 IS, AS700, A540, A530, A520 and A510... the A560 was not listed! However, the listing on the Canon site (in the downloadable brochure), along with the fact that I know that the A550 is the same size as the A560, made me press ahead and buy the case. I'm sure that it can be found cheaper in an online store on sale somewhere, but generally the accepted retail price, in stores and online, is around £11.99-£12.99. Looks. As far as I know, the model only comes in black, which is a perfect colour; classy, inconspicuous and hard-wearing against stains. It comes in the form of a main pouch for the camera itself, which fits various medium sized 'fun' digital cameras (i.e. not SLR), including Canon's Powershot S60 and S70, Fuji's E510 and F810 and Sony's M1 and S40. ...This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most products of this type, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. It's a great device with plenty of features that I would highly recommend. This really is a wonderful piece of kit that should go well with many accessories because it really looks good. After using this product for a few months I have not so far come up against any reliability issues but only time will tell. I therefore would recommend the product.
