Epiphone G-400

Advantages: Great attack and sustain for a good metal/rock style of play.
Disadvantages: Not particularly well balanced.

...The epiphone g400 is a stunning guitar. Its looks is what attracted me to it first and formost in the shop. After having a go in the shop i was completely blown away! The sound that this thing can make is unbelievable in respect to the price tag. It is exceptional value! The alnico humbuckers pruduce a great crunchy sound for distorted rock/metal style of playing. It has plenty of attack and great sustain. It has quite a wide neck which makes it easier (for me inparticular) to finger some chords (like an A) where on other guitars my fingers would be squashed up and would make playing the chord uncomfortable. But this is not the case on the g400. The action is very good too. And if it is not to your preference then changing and tweaking this guitar to your liking is almost too easy! I have had this guitar for over a year now...

Matrox G400 single head

Advantages: A fairly good allround budget card
Disadvantages: Its not ever going to give you excelent 3D performance

...the blue screen of death (and error), which has forced me to restart my p.c. It can take some mixing and matching of driver packages, as they seem to effect games differently i.e. they can cause black and white to work but unreal to crash. When buying from matrox I would really have expected a more stable card (one of the reasons I bought from matrox, a brand name). The good points are it can still handle the latest game and was really a budget card when I bought it. I would conclude that it preformed satisfactory for a budget card but in retrospect I would have sought a more 3D capable card as I play many games. I would recommend this to anyone who wants good 2D performance at a cheap price. I would say one thing to someone who wants a G400 for gaming there are now definitely better budget 3D cards out. Konica Minolta 2550 - a step up from the entry level printer

KONICA KD 400Z - A nice compact camera.

Advantages: Small, compact, good display screen, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Red eye control is poor, and pictures can be grainy when taken in poor lighting

Having broken my last camera, which was a 1.3 megapixel Oregon Scientific with no LCD screen, it was time to start looking around for a new one. The prices of cameras have come down dramatically over the last couple of years, and so we decided to go for a 4 megapixel camera. We trawled the internet looking for a good deal, and found the Konica. I paid £247 for this camera, but have seen them on the net since for £174. This camera has since been superseded by the Konica KD 410Z which my husband has bought. (But that is in anotherreview.) The Konica KD 400Z doesn?t come with a lot of memory, so we bought a 256MB memory card for it. On a 256MB card, I get 144 pictures at the highest resolution, but even on a 64 MB card, you can get 40...

...I have had this camera for about 3 years now, when I got it it was about £120 in Boots. It has been the best digital camera I have owned to date, the quality of pictures was very good for it's time. Being a discontinued and at a mere 4 megapixels, nobody looking for a digital camera today would probably consider this (given that 5 - 7 megapixel cameras are pretty cheap now). However, if you are looking for a cheap camera that takes good pics at a reasonable resolution, this is definately a camera to look out for. - Physically, this camera is very small. It fits neatly into my pocket and it has withstood a fair amount of battering over the years. - Picture quality is fantastic, red comes out very well, even at ISO 400 the quality is reasonable. Macro mode is a bit dodgy at times - it doesn't seem to focus like it should to...

...Although Konica Minolta have now ceased making cameras, there are still a few of these around (and warranty/service has been handed over to Sony). The A200 is the last of KM bridge mount digital cameras in the pro-sumer market. It has a 8m pixel CCD and 28 to 200 (35mm equivalent) manual zoom lens - much better than a motor driven lens which tend to have noticeable "stops". Although fairly big (not quite as big as a D-SLR) and quite heavy, the range of functions available from fully automatic to fully manual with a number of programme modes in between means that you get pretty much all the benefits of a D-SLR in a smaller, more convenient package. Dual headed!

...I bought my Matrox Millenium G400 Dual Head over a year ago. At the time it was the latest card out and measured up pretty well overall. I bought it and have never looked back since. With resolutions that are simply rediculous and 3D ability which is quite acceptable I would recommend this product. It is an accross the board good performer and runs DVDs with the supplied software very smoothly. I play Quake III with it with no problems and the Dual head facility is something which seems to be a rarity. You can connect 2 monitors to your system or simply plug your telly into your computer and watch your favourite DVD on your TV. For those avid gamers out there, I would look towards a different product. Even though the card deals with 3D pretty well it cannot compete with the likes of the new voodoos or the GeForces of this world...
