...I gave these a test run over the weekend while little one was vomiting everywhere and running a temperature. I'e had them for some time - they were a free sample i received whilst wandering round our local Boots store one afternoon. Dont know about your kids but whenever mine gets a temperature she complains that her face is burning aswell as the rest of the body and the paracetamol doesnt always make any difference to this - so i usually have to resort to a wet flannel which keeps falling off everytime she moves and can get the bed clothes extremely wet and messy. Anyway these are the answer to my prayers. You should use Kool 'n' Soothe at times of high temperature/fever and only on children from 1 year of age. ...I've chosen a very basic title as Ciao have decided to list this product under Kool'n'Soothe, which is already listed elsewhere. The product that I'm reviewing is actually called Migraine Kool'n'Soothe; though I believe that there is little difference, which I shall explain. A Little Background: I have suffered with migraine since I was a little girl of about 5 years old (now recognised as childhood migraine). In my youth I would be packed off to a darkened room with a sweet cup of tea, for a good nap - this usually worked. There were occasions when the only remedy would be to vomit, causing the migraine to suddenly disappear. ...This review is for the Kool Sound 220 & not the Kool Sound 220P which is exactly the same apart from the very modest 200W built it amp. Bought this unit for back-up purposes only, but can be easily used as a main system. I have started to use it more & more along side my other main twin decks so I have 4 decks constantly on the go. I am also in the process of converting to digital DJ'ing by using the Numark iDJ2, however, even though almost all my music collection has been transferred onto 2 external HD i have decided to carry on using the CDS200 unit when I convert so I can still play CD's CD-R's if needed. ...Kool and Soothe These soft gel sheets are quite new in my medicine box, such as it is. They were bought on a whim, in case Little Miss ever had some kind of fever, and I was interested to see how they would "perform" **What do they do?** They promise to immediately cool down a child (why not adult?) and because they are ready for immediate use, they are convenient and can be used any time, any place. The sheets don't need to be put in the fridge because they are designed to be always cool. ...This is a marvellous invention for people who suffer from headaches and migraines. Many migraine sufferers find that the excessive heat that builds up inside the head during an attack can be relieved by applying an ice pack. This is soothing and reduces the pain and most importantly, can prevent a full migraine developing from the first symptoms. When I have an attack, or one is "pending" I use a iced gel pack which sits in my freezer till needed. This is great so long as I : 1) am at home 2) don't want to do anything except lie down and hold the pack in place This of course is not always possible or convenient. Kool 'n' Soothe consists of an adhesive patch which holds a strip of cooling gel against the skin. ...Migraine Kool 'n' Soothe With a title like that it sounds quite an interesting product, but don't get too carried away, its not what it may seem. The reason I am writing this review is because I have had to put this to the test today, a I had the migraine of the century this morning, and had taken some pain killers but they didn't help at all, so after searching through all the cupboards I found this kool ' n' sooth, thing, well I say thing as I wasn't quite sure what it was. The packaging It comes in a dark blue packaging with the name of the product on the front and a woman who is trying to look in pain, but failing miserably. I tell you she would have known what pain was if she'd had my migraine.
