my 4 year stay in kowloon

...HONG KONG MY EXPERIENCE I lived in Hong Kong for four years with my family as my dad was in the raf we lived in Kowloon tong and went to st Georges secondary school which was for forces children but also locals and other nationalities did attend I remember in a class of 30 there would be a mixture of Chinese English Japanese's Korean and Indian children all of us were great mates and got along well In Hong Kong I learnt how eat with chop sticks and some of the native spoken caterniese which sorry to say I can say but not spell lol While in Hong Kong we did a lot of home videos about our stay we called them the sights and not the smells of Hong Kong this would be because it was not a very nice smelling place but I do remember that clothing was cheep and there where tones of places to visit and eat I remember one place we used to...

...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights. LOCATION: The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal. PRICE: Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...

The hotel can be found along the seafront, about three miles from the main centre of Blackpool, heading out towards Fleetwood. It is now under the Britannia hotels group and it is easily accessible by tram and bus. We used the trams the whole time instead of me driving all the time. My husband, my two youngest children and myself went last week for a couple of nights, after finding an advert which gave a special price of £35 per person dinner bed and breakfast per night. First-time in Kowloon

Advantages: Sheer Vitality

..., the club features cold drinks and hot live music including jam sessions every Monday night. A monthly schedule is available to view and a visit when Tommy is playing is a must. Highly recommended!! If you want a more up-market hotel than the one I stayed at (Ramada on Chatham Road South) I suggest you consider the Peninsula (still the best hotel in HKI and Kowloon). It exudes the old-style of money and class and has its own helicopter stand on the top of the building so you can travel in style from the airport (which, incidentlally, is miles from Kowloon and even further from HKI). The Intercontinental has wonderful harbour views of HKI (worth visiting just to see the night-time views) and the Intercontinental is another high-class hotel if you prefer something smaller but elegant. ...I recently stayed overnight at the chine hotel in Bournemouth whilst in the area for a friends wedding. It is currently rated as a three star hotel, but I cannot for the life of me see why as I found it to be of at least four star standard. There are 86 rooms, all of which incorporate an en suite bathroom and are decorated to a decent standard. All rooms include a hair dryer, trouser press, direct dial telephone, satellite television (selected channels only) and the complementary tray of tea, coffee and biscuits. There are four types of rooms available in relation to the view they offer the guests. The basic room is an inland room, then there is a garden facing room and finally the sea views and sea views with balcony (the prices are slightly higher for these). It is slightly further out just opposite the Castle Bill Bill and when you cross the road it?s a flat walk all the way to the marina which is away from the large hills on which many of the other hotels are located. Reception On arrival check in was swift and at this time we opted to pay for a safety deposit box we were then handed the safe key and card key to room 524 and pointed in the direction of the lifts. On looking round reception it was laid out with tables and chairs and also had a grand piano, a small bar ,toilets and computers with internet access.
