kraft philadelphia xtra light

Advantages: Low Fat
Disadvantages: Negligible fiber content.

...philadeplphia extra light was founded by a American milkman by back in 1872, which is a long time ago, I am really suprised the Kraft company make a time line story about this. I am sure most people are familiar with the kraft Philadelphia Television advert from a few years ago which I will not bother talking about in too great detail as it showed a beautiful female sitting down on a Sun Bed ouside on a warm summer's day looking to enjoy herself by eating the original version of Philadelphia spread. So here I am now reviewing kraft's extra Light Spread. I am thinking to myself, what would the Television advert look like now. This part of the opinion is where it shall end. The Product itself was launched in 2001 with less than six per cent fat content inside. Today it contains four point seven grams of fat. Basic ingredients...

Kraft Philadelphia Extra Light

Advantages: Just as good as the original and much healthier
Disadvantages: Expensive compared to competitors

...Kraft Philadelphia - A Little Taste of Heaven ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why I buy Philadelphia ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am a great fan of all things cheese, from soft cheeses to hard. I have always loved Philadelphia, whether it be the normal version, light or even extra light, I find no difference in quality between them. As I am currently on a diet the extra light version is perfect for me. The same great taste but better for you! And those adverts, although annoying look so tasty and always have me craving Philadelphia and they remind you that you can still have these tasty recipes with Light and Extra Light too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What is Philadelphia ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Philadelphia is a soft white cream cheese made mainly from milk. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ About Philadelphia Extra Light...

Philadelphia Fan!!

Advantages: Taste great, ok for calories, great snack food
Disadvantages: Sometimes the 'dippers' can be too large to dip

...I only came about this product last week when shopping at Tesco's. I only noticed them because they were in special offer and since trying them, they have become one of my favourite snacks. Philadelphia Splendips are very similar to Dairylea dunkers but they also have a sweet variety as well as savoury. Philadelphia Splendips There are four varieties of Philadelphia Splendips. These are Thai Sweet Chilli, Chives, Cheesecake and Nachos. Philadelphia Splendips come in a container similar to Dairylea Dunkers except that they have three compartment rather than two. Half of the container if taken up with the 'dipper' section and the other half is split into two sections, containing cheese and then whatever flavour you have picked. The container has a foil lid which peels off and is easy to remove. The containers themselves are...

Philadelphia Extra light

Advantages: Gorgeous creamy tast, low in fat, great price, versatile
Disadvantages: None

...When I clicked on product of the week I was really pleased to see that finally there is a product that I can write about enthusiastically and with a bit of knowledge. It has even prompted me to carry out a little research on the history of the product, so I do hope you enjoy my review. In 1872 the first cream cheese is made by William Lawrence an American Dairyman in New York and in 1880 the name Philadelphia is chosen as the brand name. This is because the City Philadelphia is considered to be the home of top quality food. At this time it was sold for the first time ever in foil wrappers. In 1903 The Phenix Cheese Company of New York bought the Philadelphia trademark. Then in 1928 Phoenix merged with the Kraft Cheese Company and in 1960 Philadelphia was launched in the UK. In 1963 the first UK TV advert for Philadelphia is...

Philadelphia Extra Light - tingle your tastebuds

Advantages: Low fat and calories. great taste and versatile
Disadvantages: None to mind

...Kraft Philadelphia Extra Light Spread Spread it all over I don't know about anyone else, but I am a big lover of all things that spread on toast - cheese spread, marmite, pate, jam, lemon curd and even the odd pot of Nutella graces the cupboards of my kitchen. These fantastic spreads are my sin, my fall-down and my weakness, all rolled into one. I don't believe in a thin covering with the knife - I want to sink my mouth into the toast with generous portions of spread - why spread so thin I can hardly taste it? The only problem is that lifelong phrase comes back to haunt me: One moment on the lips, a life-time on the hips. Honestly, the person who invented that phrase was designed to taunt me - I call that bullying in my house! But in all seriousness, I have had to take a hard look at what I really AM...

Splendiferous Splendips

Advantages: Tasty
Disadvantages: Deciding how much to put on each cracker

...I haven't had Philadelphia for years, in fact the last time I had any, you had a choice of Philly Cheese or Philly Light, none of these fancy dips or spread that you get now. Then Tesco kindly sent me a £10 voucher for their internet service and I decided it was too good to pass up, on their home page they were giving away Philadelphia Flatbread with Chutney Splendips. So being an 'owt for nowt' type of person I thought I'd give them a try. Unfortunately Tesco in their infinite wisdom decided to send Rice Crackers and Sweet Chilli Dip, not quite the same thing, but again I thought I'd give them a go. And I'm glad I did, because I was pleasantly surprised by the product. Nutritional Information Typical Values Per 76g serving Energy 148kcal Protein 4.7g Carbohydrate 28.0g Fat 1.7g Fibre 0.6g Sodium 0.4g So it...

GUILT FREE PHILADELPHIA

Advantages: yummy cheesey cheeseness, lower in fat, still as tasty.
Disadvantages: none

...I was a bit dubious when I picked this off the shelf, I had tried various other diet/low fat/ extra light options only to be assaulted by the complete lack of flavour or overwhelming taste of artificial sweeteners. However this is truly lovely, cheesy creamy soft cheese. Delicious on hot toast or with baked spuds and if you like baked spuds put a dollop of this stuff on top of your hot beans and enjoy. I have always loved Philadelphia because it is so handy to take to work and spread on some crackers instead of making sandwiches. I love this one now as I can have one or two more crackers and not feel so guilty. Kraft have managed to keep the flavour of the old Philly we know and love and made it healthier for us which is why this product should be in your basket!...

Basil can Phill his boots, it's only light.

Advantages: A tasty alternative
Disadvantages: None for me

... KRAFT PHILADELPHIA LIGHT BASIL Introduction. I was never a lover of Philadelphia Cheese in any form. My daughter loved it on toasted bagels but personaly I found the taste very bland and stayed clear. Then in 2006 I started doing (what was then called) the No Count plan with Weight Watchers. (This plan then became Core and is now lurking somewhere under the muddy waters of the Discover plan as Simply Filling.) Anyway, I digress, on the No Count you basically ate three meals a day of as much as you wanted from the food list - the only cheese allowed on this list was this extra light cheese and cottage cheese - this was CERTAINLY the best of the two options - I detest cottage cheese!! From then on this cheese ( lovingly known by WW members as ELF - extra low fat) has become a regular product in my...

On the streets of Philadelphia

Advantages: Excellent performances, story and sound track
Disadvantages: None

...making to have challenged so many people to confront their own prejudices and ignorance. Dealing with the highly provocative subject of homosexuality and AIDS, Philadelphia does an excellent job of disbanding many of the myths surrounding both of the subjects. Not only does Philadelphia tell a powerful story of injustice, it is also a beautifully shot film, which has many scenes which will tug at your heart strings. It also allowed Tom Hanks to demonstrate that he was more than capable of performing serious roles as he had previously been better known for his comedy roles. There were some critics who suggested that Hanks was not convincing as a homosexual, what did they expect a bloke wearing lipstick, lycra and high heals. Part of the beauty of the film was that it attempted to destroy society's stereotypes of how homosexuals looked and acted...

Review of Philadelphia (DVD)

Dollop of White, Cheesey Vileness, anyone?

Advantages: Can help you on a diet, or if you are health conscious
Disadvantages: Nowhere near as tasty as the regular version

...EXTRA light. So, I tried it and?welll?I think I'll stick with my regular 'light' version thank you very much. Product history Philadelphia is made by Kraft, who in some circles are famous for their synthetic cheeses (they famously, make those god awful rubber cheese squares?urgh!). Kraft are the second largest food and drink company in the world! Based in America, they officially started business in 1903. As far as the cheese itself goes, Philadelphia is available in other varieties, such as garlic and herbs, chives, as well as light and it's original full fat. The reason is it called 'Philadephia' is because back in 1880 when cream cheeses were first being made, it was named 'Philadelphia' as that was where all the best quality produce was being made (the city of Philadelphia). So began the comparison with the quality...
