... THE AUTHOR Tom Leo Clancy Jr. was born on 12th April, 1947 in Maryland, United States. He is famous for his espionage and military science writings, not solely that, but the technical details he uses throughout his works. The majority - if not all - of Clancy's work is set during the Cold War and its aftermath. Interestingly, he co-owns Baltimore Orioles, a major US Baseball team! He studied English Literature though his chief ambition was to serve in the US military, however, he failed an eye exam. As mentioned above, his keen interest in the military can be seen in all of his novels. His name may sound familiar to you: the video game "Rainbow Six/6" was actually a novel by Clancy. Kremlin, encrypt and protect your sensitive files.

Advantages: Encryption, compression, secure deletion and more.
Disadvantages: None that I can think of.

...of the "Well that won't happen to MY computer!" mindset, the chances are it already has! Kremlin enables you to encrypt individual files or whole folders with a password, so that only people with the correct password can decrypt and read the information. It's very easy to do; you just right click the file or folder, click Encrypt or Decrypt, enter the password and it's done. It even asks you if you want to securely delete the original - more on that in a bit. One final advantage: it also compresses files as it encrypts them so that the filesize ends up much smaller. As the website points out: "Why use WinZip when you can use Kremlin?" You could encrypt a text file containing all your deepest secrets, send it to all your friends (make sure you don't send the original by mistake) and feel completely safe that the contents would not be readable...

...This is another hotel from Accor, the founders of Ibis. However i am reviewing the Etap hotel situated on the outskirts of Paris, within an area known as Kremlin Bicetre. In this area, you have the choice between an Ibis hotel, a Novotel and the Etap, as well as various other smaller establishments, of which the Etap is by far the least expensive. The Etap Hotel Paris Porte D'Italie is split into two buildings; Ouest (west) and Est (east). Whereas the western hotel has 144 rooms, the eastern has 171. However both offer the same value for money. But please remember these are low budget, no frills hotels so don't expect to be living in the lap of luxury! The French Etaps are cheaper than those in the UK and will only set you back 48 Euros (around £33) per room per night. But bear in mind there is a 3 Euro suppliment for the second...

Review of The Kremlin Device - Chris Ryan

Mess around with gadgets behind the Iron Curtain.

Advantages: Innovative, authentic, fun.
Disadvantages: Gadget improvisation system isn't much fun, Not incredibly original.

...Not a bad little stealth\action\war game, even if it is a bit of a Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell clone. The plot is gripping, with some cool twists, despite being a bit thin and very unrealistic, and certain tasks can be a bit cumbersome, e.g. carrying the body of an unconscious woman around a nuclear plant for what seems like an eternity. The graphics are stimulating without trying to be too impressive. There's some amusing voice-acting in there too. The game is very non-linear, giving the player the choice of how to play the mission, Stealth, brute force or a combination of the two. It is also a nice little feature in that the recreations of the mission areas (e.g. the Kremlin and Lubyanka prison) are very authentic. The need to combine items to make gadgets is a little dry and sciencey, but can be forgiven for such a nice game. The X...

Disadvantages: Facilities may not cut the mustard for business travellers

Lots of Historical Russia in a small space
