Krishna Cottage - Was I Supposed to be Scared?

Advantages: Satisfactory ending
Disadvantages: Mediocre acting by the leads, completely UNNECESSARY songs!

...I had never heard of Krishna Cottage (a Hindi language film) before I sat down to watch it so I had no expectations either way, good or bad. Knowing that it Sohail Khan was billed as the lead didn?t give me any high expectations of the film as I?ve never really been a fan of his. PLOT SUMMARY The film starts with a professor donating a book he?s written to a college entitled ?Nine and a half stories? (that?s the English translation of the book?s actual title). When asked why it?s not ten stories he says it?s because the last story is unfinished. The principal of the college locks the book away in a storage room and tells his staff not to let anyone near it. Two Titans on same Orbit

...Bala murali krishna, what can be said of him, every word in the music dictionary will fall short when i try to describe him in his own field. He has decades of practise that singing is breathing for him. Perhaps, quitely , there is a hum when he breaths in and out. He is a pious man and with a blend of divinity and expertise in music, his renderings are as Divine as it can get. Clarity in expressing difficult words in Sanskrit, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil makes his songs heart-throbbing. The vibrations really oscillate the listener into a different world. Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, a singer with a difference, his rugged voice may seem to be a wrong combination for the compositions he sings,but once he gets going, the melody gets the better of everythign and everyone... his single line rendering in a patriotic song...

Disadvantages: As with every book, it has to finish at some point

ABCD - American Born Confused Desi

Advantages: Funny
Disadvantages: If you are not Indian, it may not all make sense to you

..., and what is like for them in America. The movie does use Indian words on a number of occasions, but you are given subtitles so you can see what is being said. Some of the jokes are Indian, so if you are not Indian, you may not understand them, never-the-less, the movie is definitely worth watching because it is so funny.
