KRUPS OF COFFEE.
Review of Krups GVX 231 by
L0BSTER_QUADRILLE
Advantages: It doesn't turn off automatically, it takes filter papers, and is very simple to use.
Disadvantages: The 'smooth side trigger action' isn't very effective.
...In December 2006, my coffee filter machine broke, well, it was the operators’ error, but I thought it was broke … so, I bought a new one: the Krups version.
For those who are unaware, a filter coffee machine is, an electrical device that filters water through ground coffee, into a jug underneath. The jug is kept hot on a heated base, for you to drink at your leisure.
Here are the key features:
Capacity: 1.25 litres
Coffee type: Ground
Filter: Paper
Cup warmer: Yes
Removable reservoir: No
Dimensions: H35.8 x W25.5 x D22.9cm
Wattage: 1100W
Krups is a mid-range brand in the coffee machine world. I had decided on this machine before I went out to buy one: due to the advertised features. I found it difficult to locate any Krups machines in Chester; they had top end machines and the rubbish lower end ones, but Krups, Magimix...

A Ga do do do, grind coffee and shake a tree
Review of Krups Expert Coffee Grinder, GVX2 by
brereton66
Advantages: Looks good, adjustable for fineness and servings
Disadvantages: A bit noisy
...Krups Expert Coffee Grinder, GVX2
Having recently bought a Gaggia Espresso machine I needed to get a grinder to prepare the beans to make the perfect coffee. I'd bought the espresso machine at Bluewater shopping centre and I knew that I'd want to get cracking as soon as I got home so there was no time to look around online to get the best deal. After realising that the only suitable Gaggia model would cost £150 I thought I'd nip into John Lewis to see what they had on offer.
The choice there was pretty good with models starting at about £20 running up to the Gaggia model. After being given a crash course in the matter of grinding beans by the very helpful assistant I plumped for the Krups model, GVX2, at £39.95.
Before I talk about the Krups model, let me try and pass on that crash course and explain the finer points of grinding...

Krups & Nescafe Make Great Coffee
Review of Krups KP 2000 by
lisajay
Advantages: Nescafe Brand Coffee
Disadvantages: Availability Of Coffee Capsules
...Two of the biggest names in the Coffee business have joined forces again to create the Dolce Gusto coffee maker.
Krups are already well known for making reliable coffee making machines, and by joining with Nescafe who, in my opinion, make the nicest tasting coffees - this machine got me interested straight away.
Having opened the box - my first impression of the machine was that it was very simple in design but stylish at the same time. I went for the Black colour option, however there is also a Red and an Ivory option as well. All colour options have silver on them as well.
The machine I purchased came with a FREE welcome pack which had a Latte Glass, Cappuccino cup with saucers and a variety of the coffee capsules, all in one box.
Its a high pressure machine (14 bars pressure) with removable drip tray and a washable filter...

Obsession and Krups Nova 2100 Espresso maker.
Review of Krups Novo Plus Ese FNC2 by
CharlesYarwood
Advantages: Beginning to make the very best coffee in the world
Disadvantages: Instructions & pathetic warming plate
..., espresso. It may well be a quantum leap up from lowlier coffee drinks, but compared to true, well made espresso it still has a very long way to go.
This will also be true of those various espresso gadgets that you put on the hob in the hope that they will gush coffee in that split second before they explode. Lets be fair, it can be very good coffee, but espresso it ain’t.
Pumping it up.
So finally we get to high-pressure pumped espresso machines, and in particular the Krups Novo 2100 Plus 962. Pretty and unusual name, don’t you think….shame we’re not intending to have any more children.
Half-way decent ones are unfortunately around the £100 mark and the Novo is no exception, though I bought this new, unused and boxed on eBay for £64 +£2.95 p&p.
This price makes my coffee taste ever better. Similar machines seem to come up...

Krups yummy frothy coffee machine
Review of Krups F 893 by
willliz1975
Advantages: Posh coffee in your own home
Disadvantages: To get more pods you have to travel to London, or order via the internet.
...This machine along with the wide variety of nespresso coffee pods available makes superb coffee AND you can get top notch frothy milk from the machine as well!! What more could you want???!!!
Making the coffee is virtually mess free and there is only a little wiping up to do afterwards.
The cup size is either espresso size, or 'lungo' size which is only a little bit bigger than an espresso, so you can easily drink several cups worth in one go if you are a coffee freak like me!! This is something that nespresso, who make the pods for this machine, could perhaps work on as I find my coffee finishes before I am ready for it to finish if you know what I mean?!
Anyway the different varieties available are diverse - from very strong, to very weak, and you can also get a couple of type of decaffeinated which also taste just as good...

Krups Espresso machine type 880
Review of Krups F88042 VIVO by
puzz1
Advantages: Good espresso, good pump pressure
Disadvantages: Not easy to use
...The Krups espresso machine cost £80.00 when I purchased it from a local store. It comes with a coffee holder and a frother.
The coffee holder is generally good, it comes with two seperate strainers, one for 1 cup and the other for 2 cups. It has been known for the coffee holder to "pop" out of place if not secured very tightly. This causes very hot water and coffee to explode all over the immediate area. Part of the reason for the holder coming out of place is that the whole unit vibrates so much when pumping that it works its way around the worktop if not held down while it pumps.
The frother that it uses is attached by means of a rubber cap that houses a small tube. The tube has a small platic part with a reduced diameter hole at the end. This part got lost down the sink in a short space of time, rendering the frother part useless...

The Coffee Maker that Sold for £3,500 on eBay*
Review of Krups ProAroma Plus 310 by
Freespirit
Advantages: Easy to use and clean
Disadvantages: The hot plate is too hot and burns the coffee
.... The biggest problem is the hot plate which is far too hot and spoils the coffee quickly. If I want really good coffee for after dinner I prefer to use my Cona coffee maker which not only makes superb coffee but provides an interesting experience in its own right.
*The Krups ProAroma 10 cup coffee machine is very famous in certain circles due to it being the star of the very first web cam set up in 1993 in the Trojan room at Cambridge University. The boffins trained a digital camera on the coffee pot and wired up computers so they could see it from their desks – so they could see whether it was worth going to fill their up cup or not. This famous coffee maker was made even more famous when it was sold on eBay for £3,350....

Boteramp talks about the Krups 897
Review of Krups F 897 by
boteramp
Advantages: Ease of use, perfect coffee, great for frothing milk.
Disadvantages: Hard to use a mug for coffee
...Was looking for a "normal" coffee machine (can't spell capucinno) - see,
and checked out the Nespresso macines - quite by accident.
Easy to use, great coffee and great choice !! No mess either.
At first I was not impressed by the cost of the capsules (64c each) but after talking about other machines / grinders / clean up / bar pressure / timing and practice I was dubious I could produce the "great coffee I enjoyed at my local shops.
I knew the Nespresso tasted great and I knew I could do it myself - everytime!!! THAT WAS WORTH 64c each time.
Come to think of it - at my friends houses with coffee machines - none of them are really THAT nice a cup of coffee.
After a little thought over a nice skinny latte I realised it is all about the taste - Nespresso had it !!! Simple.
There were several machines BUT the Krups 897 had...

Great coffee made easy
Review of Krups XN 2005 by
mark1961
Advantages: Great Coffee
Disadvantages: The cost of the pods
...Krups XN 2005 Nespresso Essenza
Preparing a real espresso involves a special extraction procedure. In this procedure water is forced at high pressure through a fine blend of ground coffee and as a result, the flavours and aromas are quickly extracted. This procedure is difficult unless the correct machine is used and this is where the Krups machine is one of the best, as it takes the difficulty out of making an espresso.
This is one of many machines that use the Nespresso Pods, this are small pods which fit into the machine, they are full of coffee and are at the heart of the process.
The Machine
When I open the box the first thing I noticed was the weight, it is a very sturdy and well-built machine measuring 300*170*270mm. The machine has a 1.3 litre water container, which is neatly hidden away at the back; the front...

This isn't crap, its Krups
Review of Krups F MD2 95 by
belgian.waffle
Advantages: makes great filter coffee, easy to use and clean, cheap, large reserviour
Disadvantages: plain and dull looks wise
...There is nothing better than a hot cup of coffee as soon as I step into work. We are all coffee addicts so we formed a coffee club whereby we all clubbed together to buy a cofee machine and we try new and exciting blends on a weekly basis. After spending £40 on beans, we all decided that the choice of machine was quite irrelevnt as far as taste was concerned and so we bought a fairly cheap Krups F MD2 95 for £30.
Made from black strengthened plastic the first impressions we all had when we opened it was that we should have gone for a chrome effect coffee maker. It looks bulky, dull and very plain. Brushing the looks aside, it is very functional and easy to use and this is where it redeems itself and has over the past week weeks led to much back patting with self congratulation at picking up such a bargain.
The controls are basic...
