Dolce Gusto

Advantages: Great coffee, no effort or mess!
Disadvantages: Didn't like the milk pods & mug size is an issue

...Ok first off, I LOVE THS MACHINE. Despite any problems I have mentioned below I am very glad I bought it. Here we go.... The Machine I've wanted a coffee machine for quite some time but unfortunately have quite a small kitchen so I am very limited with space so was shopping around for ages. The Dolce Gusto is very compact and quite trendy. I got the black version (comes in red & white as well) so it would go regardless of deco. The machine is very easy to use. Turn on, wait 15 seconds or so (until the red light stops flashing & goes green), slot in capsule, push the lever down to pierce/lock in the capsule, then turn the handle to hot. Can't get easier than that. The handle is manual so you can have as much/little water as you like. However it pays to follow the instructions per type of coffee. It's quite noisey but it's only...

Super Efficient Coffee Machine

...We have had this machine for almost a year now, and are very happy with it. We bought it after being given a demonstration at a department store. In our household most of us are coffee afficcionados who drink several cups a day. We have another coffee machine with a bean grinder, but we liked the taste of the Krups Dolce Gusto drinks, and were so impressed with the efficiency of the machine that we decided to get one. The Krups Dolce Gusto weighs 3 kilograms and is small, very compact with round shapes. The exact dimensions are 21.4cm(W) x 31.5cm(H) x 33cm(D). It probably wouldn't look out of place in The Jetsons' kitchen, as it has a certain futuristic look about it. We got the black-silver one, but there were also red-silver and white-silver models on sale. It came with a latte glass and an espresso cup...

...My Mum gave me some money as a present and I wanted to buy something special instead of just wasting the money. I deliberated long and hard and finally decided on the Dolce Gusto machine. I had seen the advert where they dance around and thought the styling was great. I like my specialist coffee but I'm no connoisseur so price and looks was the decider for me. My Dolce Gusto machine arrived with some free samples of coffee pods, a free cup and saucer and free latte glass. The coupon for points was not included so I called the helpline number and was given a reference code to add points to my Dolce Gusto account. With these points you can buy things from the online shop. I love my Dolce Gusto machine. The coffee tastes as good as and often better than the takeaway coffee I buy in the specialist coffee bars in town. It also works out...

Let me express-o my delight!

Advantages: Very easy to use, clean, energy efficient, lovely drinks
Disadvantages: capsules a little expensive, needed to use a descaler after 1 months use

..., cafe lungo (long expresso) or classic coffee that means you get 16 drinks at approx. 20p per cup. The Chocolate, latte & cappuccino drinks require a 'milk' capsule and a coffee capsule, resulting in 8 drinks per box at a cost of approx 40p per cup. These are , apparently readily available from most supermarkets - I get mine from Sainsburys. The classico makes a really good cup of coffee -' instant' with the taste of a filter coffee. The latte is a lovely creamy coffee & I have one of these a day, or the lovely rich chocolate drink as a treat. There is a cold dispense option too, so you can make 'iced' coffee too, but I haven't tried that yet. The cost is further reduced by freebies you can get via the Dolce Gusto website. It is well worth registering as they operate a points scheme, collection of which can be redeemed against capsules...

Superb tasting Cappuccinos cost only 37p!

...I bought this machine on the strength of the many other excellent reviews from customers here on dooyoo who are clearly much more expert than me about coffee machines. I am adding this review to say that if you're like me (i.e. a complete idiot in the kitchen), but want superb coffee, instantly with no hassle or effort, this is the machine for you. If I can work it, anyone can! You cannot knock the looks either. I am very fond of retro gadgets and machines in my kichen and my Dolce Gusto blends in well. It's not as ugly or space consuming as some of it's competitors. I have never been tempted to try any instant coffee machines and tend to rather spend a fortune on buying my cappuccinos in cafes everyday before going to work. But that is definitely a thing of the past. This machine is fantastic and so easy to use - even an idiot...

Amazing Coffee in under 2 mins with no washing up!

Advantages: Can customize your drinks exactly how you want them.
Disadvantages: Suagr in milk pods, Yuk!

...contains a welcome pack, which is a few of each drink pods to try, plus a latte glass and cappuccino cup, which I think is a nice touch. You also get a voucher for a free pack of pods when you register. Further china and all pods can be purchased directly from the Dolce and Gusto website. To make a drink, you insert a pod into a pod holder, push once to pierce the pod, slide into the machine, click down, and then slide the button to hot or cold. The drinks are brewed inside the pod so no washing up, other than rinsing the pod holder! Each cup is also fresh and hot, no sludge left. The main question with so much simplicity is what do the drinks taste like: Cappuccino: hot and frothy. However the pods are sweetened with sugar so if you don't take sugar in your coffee, you'll find them too sweet! Such a shame as the drink would be perfect...

...Have recently boguht this and it has replaced my Tassimo, got to say i didn't think it would top my old trusted wake me up machine but it has. I have heard of Krups before and know that they make good coffee machines worldwide, so i knew we could trust it. You get a choice of colours as follows: Red, Black, and Cream they will suit your colour scheme in your kitchen i suppose. Not only does it look good but it works great as well and produces fabulous tasting coffee...........let the review begin. ~~~~~~ PRICE ~~~~~~ We got it for £89.97 from Argos, although it is cheaper now at £79.97.
