KRUPS OF COFFEE.
Advantages: It doesn't turn off automatically, it takes filter papers, and is very simple to use.
Disadvantages: The 'smooth side trigger action' isn't very effective.
...In December 2006, my coffee filter machine broke, well, it was the operators? error, but I thought it was broke ? so, I bought a new one: the Krups version.
For those who are unaware, a filter coffee machine is, an electrical device that filters water through ground coffee, into a jug underneath. The jug is kept hot on a heated base, for you to drink at your leisure.
Here are the key features:
Capacity: 1.25 litres
Coffee type: Ground
Filter: Paper
Cup warmer: Yes
Removable reservoir: No
Dimensions: H35.8 x W25.5 x D22.9cm
Wattage: 1100W
Krups is a mid-range brand in the coffee machine world. I had decided on this machine before I went out to buy one: due to the advertised features. I found it difficult to locate any Krups machines in Chester; they had top end machines and the rubbish lower end ones, but Krups, Magimix...

Coffee lovers, the perfect set!
Advantages: Great espressos and regular filter coffee
Disadvantages: Espressos sometimes are not hot enough
...produce good espressos, that's the challenge! But it succeeds!
The only thing not perfect is their temperature, especially the first ones, they may get only warm, not really hot as I love. This way, I recommend you to pre-heat all the accessories, and you can easily do it on the machine itself. Putting the empty filter and the cups as if you were making a coffee, you'll warm the cups enough to make the first coffees with the right temperature.
Another good thing, it makes 2 espressos at a time!
Of course, if you stick to the basics, you'll get good coffee, but you'll be missing most of the machine capacities.
I highly recommend you to read the manual. This book will help you to explore all the range of things this Krups do.
Is very easy to read, and bring amazing pratical information, that will help you to be the most renowned coffee...

Krups Kettle
Advantages: Good Looking, well built, respected German manufacturer
Disadvantages: The on/off switch can be a little stubborn at times
...This is my first Krups appliance. I bought this one in John Lewis last year for £42 when I was looking for a new kettle. I noticed that most kettles these days are chrome or white or stainless steel. My last kettle was metal and a nightmare to keep looking pristine so this time I wanted something different.
Of all the models I saw, this one stood out. I always trust John Lewis as they hand pick the bottom, middle and top of the range of most appliances - this was in the middle category.
The black plastic with opaque window running vertically with water guage is very sleek. There is a chrome plasic lid which locks into place (good safety feature) and a trigger on the handle which pulls back a flap of plastic in the spout so that when you pour, the water comes our evenly, and is less likely to rush out an spill (like most other...

Krups Turned Into CRAPS w/ This Coffee Machine
Advantages: Filtered Coffee Does Brew Just like Any other Coffe Machine
Disadvantages: Espresso/Capicinno Portion Hard to use, Made Cheap, No Grinder
...Coffee is sort of the bane of my existance. There are days where i'll drink 2 cups, then there are days when i'll drink 12. It's an addiction really. I personally feel they need to have C.A. meetings for us Coffee Addicts. This may seem like useless information in a Coffee Machine review, but it'll give you a little backup info for the coffee snob that I am.
I lived in France for about a year before moving to the U.K. In France they don't do normal "Pot" coffee. They seem to think the only coffee that exists isn't even called coffee, it's called "Espresso". After shopping at all the stores in France that have "rama" on the end of them, I FINALLY found a Machine that had a coffee pot WITH it! I was extatic! Plus it was a "Krups" which we all know that Krups Knows they're Coffee Machines. Do they even make anything OTHER than coffee...

Krups & Nescafe Make Great Coffee
Advantages: Nescafe Brand Coffee
Disadvantages: Availability Of Coffee Capsules
...Two of the biggest names in the Coffee business have joined forces again to create the Dolce Gusto coffee maker.
Krups are already well known for making reliable coffee making machines, and by joining with Nescafe who, in my opinion, make the nicest tasting coffees - this machine got me interested straight away.
Having opened the box - my first impression of the machine was that it was very simple in design but stylish at the same time. I went for the Black colour option, however there is also a Red and an Ivory option as well. All colour options have silver on them as well.
The machine I purchased came with a FREE welcome pack which had a Latte Glass, Cappuccino cup with saucers and a variety of the coffee capsules, all in one box.
Its a high pressure machine (14 bars pressure) with removable drip tray and a washable filter...

Krups Vivo
Advantages: Simple easy to clean system, seperate water resevoir
Disadvantages: None
...with this Behemoth Computer (screen at least) I don't have much room for a big monster of a coffee machine.
So I went for the Krups Vivo..
When I used to live with my folks in Costa Rica, we had a machine which was of much inferior quality and among one of the annoying things was the fact that you had to unscrew the boiler top to add more water, which meant that if you wanted to cater for more people it took an eternity to wait for the pressure and temperature to decrease enough to refill each time.
The Vivo gets over this really easily by having a removable water resevoir at the back, connected by a valve. You just open the lid, take it by the handle, pull it out and fill it at the sink. Alternatively, if you are in the process of making coffee or steam, and you notice the water level is dropping (it is transparent) you can open the top...

Krups the way to do it!
Advantages: Keeps coffee hot for ages
Disadvantages: None so far
...I do love a cup of fresh coffee, and am famous amongst my friends for never offering instant - I only ever make or drink fresh coffee. So over the years, as you can imagine, I have got through a fair number of coffee machines. I've been the proud owner of several different filter makers, esspresso and cappucino makers and had never found the perfect one. Until now!
I bought this Krups coffee maker at a large electrical store a year ago for £69.99. It's the first time I've ever had a filter maker with a thermal jug (as opposed to a glass jug) so I did wonder if it would be any good.
The maker itself is tall as opposed to the 'squat' shape which is more usual. It measures 40cm high x 20cm wide x 30cm deep (approx) and fits easily into a small corner. It is black, with a chrome coloured jug and has a modern appearance.
It has...

Krups panini press
Advantages: Looks great, adjustable hinges, large cooking area, heats up quickly
Disadvantages: None!!
...I searched high and low for a panini press that looked good, had adjustible hinges and had ridged plate rather than flat plates to give that characteristic panini appearance. Eventually I found the Krups panini press which at £49.99 from John Lewis was quite pricy compared to some but in my opinion worth every penny. It is also available from Amazon priced at £49.97 with free super saver delivery.
This model is in stainless steel and its plates measure 240mm x 296mm meaning that it has a large cooking area - plenty of room to fit two paninis on at once. it is ideal for paninis because the lid has adjustable hinges so that it will sit flat on top of the panini rather than squeezing the filling out of the side as some models do. It also allows you to cook foods of different thicknesses evenly. The handle is fully heat insulated so...

This isn't crap, its Krups
Advantages: makes great filter coffee, easy to use and clean, cheap, large reserviour
Disadvantages: plain and dull looks wise
...There is nothing better than a hot cup of coffee as soon as I step into work. We are all coffee addicts so we formed a coffee club whereby we all clubbed together to buy a cofee machine and we try new and exciting blends on a weekly basis. After spending £40 on beans, we all decided that the choice of machine was quite irrelevnt as far as taste was concerned and so we bought a fairly cheap Krups F MD2 95 for £30.
Made from black strengthened plastic the first impressions we all had when we opened it was that we should have gone for a chrome effect coffee maker. It looks bulky, dull and very plain. Brushing the looks aside, it is very functional and easy to use and this is where it redeems itself and has over the past week weeks led to much back patting with self congratulation at picking up such a bargain.
The controls are basic...

Boteramp talks about the Krups 897
Advantages: Ease of use, perfect coffee, great for frothing milk.
Disadvantages: Hard to use a mug for coffee
...Was looking for a "normal" coffee machine (can't spell capucinno) - see,
and checked out the Nespresso macines - quite by accident.
Easy to use, great coffee and great choice !! No mess either.
At first I was not impressed by the cost of the capsules (64c each) but after talking about other machines / grinders / clean up / bar pressure / timing and practice I was dubious I could produce the "great coffee I enjoyed at my local shops.
I knew the Nespresso tasted great and I knew I could do it myself - everytime!!! THAT WAS WORTH 64c each time.
Come to think of it - at my friends houses with coffee machines - none of them are really THAT nice a cup of coffee.
After a little thought over a nice skinny latte I realised it is all about the taste - Nespresso had it !!! Simple.
There were several machines BUT the Krups 897 had...
