Diamond review  Obsession and Krups Nova 2100 Espresso maker.

Advantages: Beginning to make the very best coffee in the world
Disadvantages: Instructions & pathetic warming plate

..., espresso. It may well be a quantum leap up from lowlier coffee drinks, but compared to true, well made espresso it still has a very long way to go. This will also be true of those various espresso gadgets that you put on the hob in the hope that they will gush coffee in that split second before they explode. Lets be fair, it can be very good coffee, but espresso it ain?t. Pumping it up. So finally we get to high-pressure pumped espresso machines, and in particular the Krups Novo 2100 Plus 962. Pretty and unusual name, don?t you think?.shame we?re not intending to have any more children. Half-way decent ones are unfortunately around the £100 mark and the Novo is no exception, though I bought this new, unused and boxed on eBay for £64 +£2.95 p&p. This price makes my coffee taste ever better. Similar machines seem to come up...

Krups Vivo

Advantages: Simple easy to clean system, seperate water resevoir
Disadvantages: None

...After a lot of time and energy spent researching different Espresso / Cappuccino machines, I came to two options: Get a all in one wonder which does everythign automatically, U put in the coffee and the milk and it froths the milk and produces the espresso, but means a hell to clean... OR a simple good quality Espresso machine which require you to fiddle knobs and hold the milk jug but which is smaller and easier to clean... Guess which one I went for? Yes, the second.. First, Since it is simpler, it costs less meaning that for the same amount of money I could buy a better quality machine, second, I it much easier to maintain and I do hate making a nice cup of somethign and then having to spend 10 minutes cleanign everything up before enjoying it. Thirdly, because I am going to University soon, I haven't got much room and specially...

Krups Espresso machine type 880

Advantages: Good espresso, good pump pressure
Disadvantages: Not easy to use

...The Krups espresso machine cost £80.00 when I purchased it from a local store. It comes with a coffee holder and a frother. The coffee holder is generally good, it comes with two seperate strainers, one for 1 cup and the other for 2 cups. It has been known for the coffee holder to "pop" out of place if not secured very tightly. This causes very hot water and coffee to explode all over the immediate area. Part of the reason for the holder coming out of place is that the whole unit vibrates so much when pumping that it works its way around the worktop if not held down while it pumps. The frother that it uses is attached by means of a rubber cap that houses a small tube. The tube has a small platic part with a reduced diameter hole at the end. This part got lost down the sink in a short space of time, rendering the frother part useless...

KRUPS OF COFFEE.

Advantages: It doesn't turn off automatically, it takes filter papers, and is very simple to use.
Disadvantages: The 'smooth side trigger action' isn't very effective.

...In December 2006, my coffee filter machine broke, well, it was the operators? error, but I thought it was broke ? so, I bought a new one: the Krups version. For those who are unaware, a filter coffee machine is, an electrical device that filters water through ground coffee, into a jug underneath. The jug is kept hot on a heated base, for you to drink at your leisure. Here are the key features: Capacity: 1.25 litres Coffee type: Ground Filter: Paper Cup warmer: Yes Removable reservoir: No Dimensions: H35.8 x W25.5 x D22.9cm Wattage: 1100W Krups is a mid-range brand in the coffee machine world. I had decided on this machine before I went out to buy one: due to the advertised features. I found it difficult to locate any Krups machines in Chester; they had top end machines and the rubbish lower end ones, but Krups, Magimix...

She gives really good head.....

Advantages: Good build quality, reasonably priced
Disadvantages: Still £130 for a coffee machine!!!!

...of quality, a no nonsense espresso machine. Her name? A bit weird I thought, it?s Krups Novo 3100 ProCrema! Don;t these coffee machines have funny names. But after introductions she became just Krupsy to me. So what made her stand out from the crowd of coffee machines. Well, it?s difficult to say. She seemed classy without being overbearing and brash, a sort of subtle beauty, you know the sort, beautiful without making any real effort. She also had lots of substance, take her coffee holder for instance, on most of the other models I saw the coffee holders seemed very flimsy, all light and airy fairy, even on the most expensive machines, yet Krupsy had a very solid coffee holder, very strong and durable. She also did a neat trick with her coffee holder. Rather than just having a line to show you how much coffee to add for different...

Krups & Nescafe Make Great Coffee

Advantages: Nescafe Brand Coffee
Disadvantages: Availability Of Coffee Capsules

...Two of the biggest names in the Coffee business have joined forces again to create the Dolce Gusto coffee maker. Krups are already well known for making reliable coffee making machines, and by joining with Nescafe who, in my opinion, make the nicest tasting coffees - this machine got me interested straight away. Having opened the box - my first impression of the machine was that it was very simple in design but stylish at the same time. I went for the Black colour option, however there is also a Red and an Ivory option as well. All colour options have silver on them as well. The machine I purchased came with a FREE welcome pack which had a Latte Glass, Cappuccino cup with saucers and a variety of the coffee capsules, all in one box. Its a high pressure machine (14 bars pressure) with removable drip tray and a washable filter...

Krups Turned Into CRAPS w/ This Coffee Machine

Advantages: Filtered Coffee Does Brew Just like Any other Coffe Machine
Disadvantages: Espresso/Capicinno Portion Hard to use, Made Cheap, No Grinder

...Coffee is sort of the bane of my existance. There are days where i'll drink 2 cups, then there are days when i'll drink 12. It's an addiction really. I personally feel they need to have C.A. meetings for us Coffee Addicts. This may seem like useless information in a Coffee Machine review, but it'll give you a little backup info for the coffee snob that I am. I lived in France for about a year before moving to the U.K. In France they don't do normal "Pot" coffee. They seem to think the only coffee that exists isn't even called coffee, it's called "Espresso". After shopping at all the stores in France that have "rama" on the end of them, I FINALLY found a Machine that had a coffee pot WITH it! I was extatic! Plus it was a "Krups" which we all know that Krups Knows they're Coffee Machines. Do they even make anything OTHER than coffee...

I use a novo pen but it is not a medicine

Advantages: Easy to use, easy dial up
Disadvantages: if you dial up too much you can only change to a smaller unit by releasing excess units

...I have been diabetic for 9 years, and when I came across novo pen in here I thought "wow that's what I use" then I began to think well maybe there's a drug for something else called novo pen as It is under prescription drugs, so if I am wrong then just let me know. Well when I first got diagnosed with diabetes I had to use normal injections. I was then put on a pen but it kept braking. So the last time I was getting my check up they put me on the novo pen. I did not have to pay anything for my novo pen due to the fact that I get them free at the diabetic clinic. So I am unsure of how much they are if you need to purchase them. It comes in a great case that has a compartment for the pen, a slot to put an insulin cartridge and a slot to put spare needles. It is very easy to put things in and out of it. The pen itself is made...

Connoseour's espresso ...but at a price

Advantages: Brilliant Coffee, Looks good, easy
Disadvantages: Expensive

...The Nespresso system is revolutionary in coffee. If you are not familiar with it, it is one whereby fresh very high quality capsules of coffee are made into espresso using a Nespresso machine. The coffee is of the best standard and comes in a huge variety of blends. Nespresso is a huge step us from other coffee systems such as Tassimo by Kenco. Owning one is more of an experience than a simple appliance; coffee is delivered in tubes of 10 or so and display cases for the capsules can be bought. The end result is no different from the traditional espresso machine in which ground coffee is used. Indeed inside the capsules are ground coffee. The espresso made is perfect, and sugar sprinkled on the top falls through the crema after 10 seconds. In price comparison, per espresso, it works out at about 70p and that's far cheaper than...

Rich, creamy espresso

Advantages: Cheap, easy to use, compact
Disadvantages: No automatic pump stop

...I'd been thinking about getting an espresso machine when I saw the Krups Espresso Vivo on offer in Tesco last week, reduced from £79 to £69. You can pay anything up to £400 for 'the full monty' of coffee makers, so I thought it looked pretty good value. It is a neat, compact, easy-to-use espresso and cappuccino maker, predominantly in matte black plastic. It has a large, removeable water tank which is easy to fill either at the tap or on the machine itself using, say, a Brita jug. There are two switches on the top, one which turns the machine on to heat the water, and one which starts the espresso pump. There are two lights, a red one to indicate it is switched on, and a yellow one which goes out when the water gets up to temperature. It has a 15 bar pump pressure, which helps give a richer taste and a creamy 'head' on the espresso...
