Advantages: Good Picture, reasonable Sound. Disadvantages: Relatively high price in comparison to other manufacturers
...Sony have always been a manufacturer who like to stay at the top of the market and the launch nearly 18 months ago of the FX20 in its current form merely confounds this. Incororating Sony's WEGA technology, the picture is exceptionally good for a "basic" 50hz television, and coupled with a DVD player the effect is simply stunning. The set is catered for in the sound department with a simple Nicam setup which although not particularly technologically advanced, is effective none the less. If you're really looking for a Pro-Logic set, Sony also manufacture the KV28FS20 which is identical in every way except that it has a Dolby Pro-Logic setup in preference to it's Nicam equivalent.
In summary, the FX20 is a fantastic set, though if you can afford the 100hz set then you will obviously reap the benefits (the KV28FX60). If you're looking to...

Review of Sony KV 28FX20
Advantages: Excellant picture quality at an affordable price Disadvantages: Takes up a lot of space compared to LCD or Plasma
...There are two versions of Sony's KV28LS range a 35 and 60. The only difference as far as I am aware is that the LS60 has a scanning rate of 100HZ, rather than the 50HZ of the 35. I purchased the LS60 approximately 18months which at the time cost just over £600, no doubt it has fallen in price since then. I opted for the LS60 because of the enhanced scanning rate and the difference in price was negligible. This is actually the second LS60 I have owned, when the first arrived two of the scart sockets did not work. However, within a week Comet had delivered a new TV which (touch wood) I have had no problems with. Additional point here, order from Comet's website rather than store for a significant discount, you retain the benefit of being able to go into a store if you have any problems but get a significant discount when ordering...

Review of Sony KV28LS60
Advantages: Flat Screen, Great picture and sound quality Disadvantages: Wish there are more sockets
...When my 8-year old rounded?screen television set started to produce unnecessary green and purple colours, I decided to get another telly. Though I wanted to get keep that old TV for sentimental reasons, the distorted colour made me want to throw it out of the window at times. I wanted to save that television set anyway so I had it checked by a technician and he diagnosed it with a damaged picture tube so I ended up ordering SonyKV28FS20.
When the television set arrived, I was surprised with the very huge box. The two delivery men did have a hard time getting it out from the delivery van and into my house. When the box was opened, I was amazed with that big pretty TV. A rabbit antenna, a remote control and a multi-language user manual were in the box too.
SET UP
Set up was easy once the SonyKV28FS20 is installed. I just...

Review of Sony KV28FS20
Advantages: Good sound, good looks, good picture Disadvantages: A tad expensive
...as two bedrooms by the previous owners who ran a bed and breakfast establishment, so the purchase of the new television had to wait.
I will say at this point we have a portable in the bedroom ? I couldn?t do without my Corrie Street and Eastenders!
Once the building work was complete and even before the decorating began we set off in search of the dream TV!!
After much deliberation and discussion we found the one we wanted in Currys.
It is a Sony KV28LS35 and we paid £915 for the television, a video recorder and a DVD player all in a purpose built cabinet.
So, finally, I?ll actually tell you something about the television! About time too, don?t you think?
The whole package arrived in numerous huge, very well packed boxes, and the first job was to construct the stand and put all the appliances on the correct shelves. Dave...

Review of Sony KV 28LS 35
Advantages: Flatscreen, Widescreen, gorgeous picture, great sound Disadvantages: It possibly doesn't do quite as much for films on TV as it does for DVD
...also an extended five year guarantee. My advice is to go in knowing roughly what you want, talk to someone and then go away and do a bit of internet research based on what you have seen. (It is also worth saying that some interference may be caused by the other televisions in store. When looking at the same model in a different John Lewis the picture quality was far inferior.) In my case it was a toss up between the Sony KV28LS36U (the 28 referring to the screen size), another Sony model and a Panasonic with digital Freeview television. In the end Digital lost out due to the inferior reviews of the Panasonic television itself and the alternative Sony's lack of "Virtual Dolby" at the same price of £499.
Features:
66cm visible FD Triniton WEGA screen (28" tube)
Virtual Dolby
NICAM stereo sound
Auto volume adjustment

Review of Sony KV28LS36
Advantages: Affordable, supports 1.2 GHz processors, AGP Pro slot Disadvantages: No raid support, poor printed manual
...I built my PC some months ago and because the AMD Duron was the best value to performance processor I needed a Socket A motherboard. Hunting around on the web I came across a few good reviews of the Soltek SL75KV+, and as this board was being sold by CCL Computers, where I was buying the rest of my stuff from, I ordered it.
The board comes with screws, a UDMA 66 IDE cable, a floppy cable, extra nine pin serial port, temperature monitor, drivers cd-rom and a software bundle that includes Norton Anti Virus, Symantec Ghost, Virtual Drive and Winfax as well as a paper manual.
The manual is very poor but a full manual is included on the drivers cd in PDF format. This seems to be becoming a trend amongst manufacturers which is a little strange. How can you read the manual if your PC's in bits?
The board itself is based around the Via...

Review of FIC SL75KV
Advantages: Wonderful picture and good sound Disadvantages: Size! You need plenty of space.
...I'm afraid that I can only accept the stereotype that is bound to be handed down following this opinion...
I am not the heaviest TV user in our household, my wife and daughter win that one with soap-operas, and Bob the Builder respectively, but for many many years I have wanted to watch TV on a screen that is too big to fit into the front room.
At last I have achieved that aim!
*** The telly...
OK, firstly its a Sony. That means that there is a little silver badge on the front with the word "SONY" on it... This, it would seem is worth about £400... I beg to differ, but, as with the majority of lemming-like consumers out there, I found this strangely attractive. It SHOULD mean quality and long-life. Only time will tell of course.
*** The picture...
Then the part number "KV32LS35U" - I've managed to establish that...

The most important thing is how does my television look, this particular one I would say is very stylish and elegant, it's a stylish silver colour. Being a small flat screen TV it takes up very little room:
