Sony kv32hx15 tele.
Advantages: clear picture, nice colour and easy to use.
Disadvantages: quite costly for such television.
....
THE TELEVISION.
-----------------------------
The television comes in a nice whitish silver beautiful colour that is shinny with flat screen. Although it has a flat screen type it does not affects the picture production. It has large screen that is at about 32 inches in size. But one thing about the television is that it is quite heavy and difficult to carry about but why carry about, you only need to keep in one place, the bedroom or the parlour. It also has a very nice sound output and that is why I blast music with it. The flat screen TV type is the wega type with visual screen display.
THE PICTURE.
------------------------
The television is capable of producing very fantastic bright pictures with the flat screen and 32 inches tube size. While watching DVD play back, I think it is the best in terms picture production. And equally you...

Typical techie male...
Advantages: Wonderful picture and good sound
Disadvantages: Size! You need plenty of space.
...I'm afraid that I can only accept the stereotype that is bound to be handed down following this opinion...
I am not the heaviest TV user in our household, my wife and daughter win that one with soap-operas, and Bob the Builder respectively, but for many many years I have wanted to watch TV on a screen that is too big to fit into the front room.
At last I have achieved that aim!
*** The telly...
OK, firstly its a Sony. That means that there is a little silver badge on the front with the word "SONY" on it... This, it would seem is worth about £400... I beg to differ, but, as with the majority of lemming-like consumers out there, I found this strangely attractive. It SHOULD mean quality and long-life. Only time will tell of course.
*** The picture...
Then the part number "KV32LS35U" - I've managed to establish that...

Sony WEGA TV with OnDigital and surround sound
Advantages: Built in OnDigital and 5.1 surround sound for that cinema experience
Disadvantages: Expensive. Need to check on availability of signal.
...The Sony KV-32DS60U is a 32" widescreen TV with digital circuitry built in so you do not need a Digibox to receive the new digital broadcasts. The set is easy to setup as it can detect and program itself automatically. The standard analogue channels (BBC throught to Channel 5) are available as well as SHOP!, BBC NEWS 24, ITV2 and some others. Premium rate channels aren't included but OnDigital have told me that this TV, an IDTV, can receive premium channels after a subscription is set up.
Trying to contact Sony's digital helpline is a nightmare. After numerous attempts I still haven't been able to talk to anyone. This is an area where they need to definitely improve their service.
Connecting a VCR and DVD to the TV is easy. If the VCR has smartlink the TV can deliver the program presets direct to the VCR for analogue recording. If...

A very sexy Sony
Advantages: Great picture quality
Disadvantages: A very heavy TV at 70KG
...Firstly let me say that this review is for the Sony KV32FX60, not the KV32FX60D. The only difference beyween the two models is that the 'D' has a built in digital receiver. There is no Ciao category for my TV, the KV32FX60, so I've put it here until it gets moved.
Okay, on with the Opinion. I bought my TV in 2000 from John Lewis on Oxford Street. This is an excellent place to buy TVs from, because they have a policy of price matching all of the stores within a couple of miles radius. In the case of Oxford Street this includes all of the cheap shops on Tottenham Court Road as well as high street shops like Dixons etc. I paid £995 for it, and at the time the cheapest quote I got elsewhere was £1195 and the most expensive £1395 which is a big difference, so if you are buying a TV give John Lewis Oxford Street a ring. Another bonus is...

A classic piece of equipment
Advantages: Top quality picture and good sound. Loads of extra features.
Disadvantages: Looks like a big grey box. Terrestrial signal reception only.
...The Sony KV32FX68 32 inch widescreen colour TV is an awesome piece of equipment. The weight alone of this TV is immense. So make sure what ever you stand it on is able to take the weight. My particular model is analog/terrestrial signal reception only (being 4 years old this November) so requires a set top box for digital and true widescreen reception. But don?t worry if you are buying a new Sony, as the latest versions have digital reception built in. The flat screen and 100Hz WEGA tube produce an undeniable crisp, clear and colourful picture. The sound from the stereo speakers is also pretty good for a TV although the third rear set top speaker that is supposed to produce a virtual surround sound effect just doesn?t deliver the goods. In fact it?s pretty hard to tell that its working at all most of the time. The surround sound effects...

Superb Sony
Advantages: Best Looking set, superb quality and features
Disadvantages: None found yet
...This telly has recently been launched by Sony (Nov 99 I think) and I bought one from a Sony Centre on New Years Eve. (And no I did not stay in to watch it cos I do have a life!!!)
I bought the whole home cinema system in one hit and therefore got a good reduction on the price. It retails at £1,699.00 but cos I bought so much kit I got it for about £1,550.00.
The system I bought was basically the top of the range everything but I will review each one separately, needless to say the whole system is mindblowing! (KV32FQ75 TV, DVP735 DVD Player, STR-DB940 Amp and SAV-E705 Speakers - £3,000 for the lot)
Anyway back to the telly. It looks superb and in my opinion is the best looking widescreen on the market. It is silver and comes complete with the stand which has two glass shelves for your DVD, Amp etc. (my old video and sky...

Flawed masterpiece
Advantages: Excellent picture, packed with high quality capabilities.
Disadvantages: Unreliable software, poor reception of free-to-air digital broadcasts. Very slow switching between digital and analogue sources.
...In December 1999 I purchased a Sony KV32DS60 TV to replace my older Sony TV. I wanted a larger widescreen TV with integrated digital receiver (I have too many tv/hifi boxes already). I no longer have this TV and am hesitant about replacing it with any Sony IDTV.
Hooking up to a Sony DVD and Sony VCR was straightforward using Scart. The smartlink feature works well. The hookup advice in the VCR manual conflicts slightly with the TV manual (TV manual says use aerial to TV, feed VCR from TV so you can record from digital source).
A minor annoyance was having three remotes with overlapping capabilities (e.g. TV with basic VCR controls, VCR with basic TV controls or DVD with basic TV controls). I needed one remote with my choice of TV/DVD/VCR controls. Although all bought at the same time, every remote had differing layouts...

I've got a big one
Advantages: Excellent picture, sound and looks
Disadvantages: Price, constructing the cabinet, dust in the cabinet
...about this one, as my previous TV was a Sony and it is still going strong after 11 years of hard use (it is now relegated to the bedroom). Sony is a brand known for quality in electronics, but it does mean you are paying more for your TV than for some other makes such as Philips or Matsui.
?? Which screen size? ??
Nowadays, not only do you have to decide what size screen you want in inches, you also have to decide whether to go for widescreen too. The government is hoping to convert the whole country to digital technology within the next 10 years and apparently digital TV is broadcast in the widescreen format, so if you want to futureproof your TV, it is worth buying widescreen now. Also many films are widescreen both on TV and on video/DVD.
We therefore decided to go for a 32? widescreen TV. This Sony TV allows you to watch...
